Chapter 221: Fighting

Zuo Kai was the first to move from the old house to a house in the west district, causing all the families in the compound to shift their attention from the Lu family to the Zuo family. The two elders of the Zuo family have always been kind to others. Mrs. Zuo is used to putting herself on a high pedestal, and even when looking for a daughter-in-law, she wants to be of equal status.

Everyone knows that Yang Qing's life in the Zuo family is not easy. This time, all the third generation of the Zuo family have moved out of the Zuo family and moved to their respective allocated houses.

Lu Shiyi went to the company for a meeting and met Zuo Kai in the office building.

"Minister Lu, my wife used to be an interpreter. Teacher Su, could you please help find her a translation job?" Lu Shiyi was surprised that Zuo Kai was willing to ask for help for his wife.

"I never care about Xiaojin's work. If Madam Zuo wants a job, she can ask Xiaojin directly." Lu Shiyi did not interfere. "Besides, we will be leaving the imperial capital at the end of the month. Xiaojin is out of reach if there is work in the imperial capital."

Zuo Kai kept smiling, and Lu Shiyi didn't refuse him immediately, which was considered a great favor to him.

"Zuo Kai, you are a husband and a father. Whether Mrs. Zuo can work with peace of mind depends on your support." After Lu Shiyi talked to Zuo Kai for a few words, he pointed out what Zuo Kai lacked.

Because the meeting time was tight, Lu Shiyi and Zuo Kai interrupted their conversation and walked towards the meeting room.

Lu Shiyi pushed the door and entered the conference room, and found that the two top leaders were there. Lu Shiyi greeted the two elders obediently.

"Hello, leaders!" Lu Shiyi saluted the two of them in his military uniform.

"Is Xiao Su back with us? We've looked at the information she translated, and I have to say, it's really good." The two old leaders praised Su Jin, "You have a sharp eye and have chosen a good wife."

"Commanders, Xiao Jin is really nice. I sent two jars of tiger bone wine to Rongju. You two commanders can go back and take one jar each." Lu Shiyi whispered to the two commanders.

The two leaders rarely accept gifts from their subordinates. Lu Shiyi is a member of the Divine Sword team and understands the tempers of the two leaders. He took advantage of the time when everyone was talking and whispered to the two leaders.

"Okay, I'll accept it this time. The ointments will be good for next time. Save the tiger bone wine for your grandfather." The two leaders also suffered many injuries from the war.

"Grandpa instructed that we have to give him some as well as the two old leaders'." Lu Shiyi scratched his head with a silly smile, "I got it while hunting in the deep forest, and Xiaojin is good at making wine."

"Go back and help thank Xiao Jin. Remember to bring Xiao Jin to Rongju the day after tomorrow. Some information must be handled by Xiao Jin. No one else can translate it." The two leaders believed in Su Jin's ability and handed this important task to her. "These materials need you and the members of the Divine Sword Team to protect them."

Lu Shiyi nodded immediately: "I will take my wife there the day after tomorrow."

"Your grandfather is so proud. He's been showing off your son to us, saying he's just like you when you were little." The old commander noticed someone looking at the three of them and immediately changed his words. "Go back and tell your grandfather to stop showing off."

When the people at the meeting heard the two leaders mention Lu Bairen many times, they all talked happily about Hanhan's situation. Every night the family of three would stroll in the yard.

The meeting time was up and Lu Shiyi sat back in his seat. He looked at the participants and found that the conference room was full of the two leaders' confidants.

Only Zuo Kai is left in the Zuo family. It seems that Zuo Kai made a different choice for his father than for his two younger brothers.

"Zuo Kai will begin handing over his work from today and report to the Southern Guangdong Military Region next Thursday." This was the first order given by the chief at the meeting.

Su Jin walked in the yard. She had made a lot of snacks at home and packed them up to take to the old house. It was the first time she had returned to the old house alone since returning to the capital.

On the way, she met many family members, and everyone greeted her with a smile on their faces.

She didn't know many people in the hospital, so she could only nod awkwardly.

Some people had smiles on their faces, but their eyes were icy cold. Su Jin always felt a chill on her back when she looked at these people. She only had to say a few vague words and quickly walked towards the old house.

"Grandpa, grandma, I'm here!" Su Jin pushed the door and entered the Lu family, and saw four adults surrounding the stroller and coaxing Hanhan.

Starting from yesterday, Hanhan was left to sleep in the old house. This was the first time that Hanhan lived away from the young couple.

"Xiao Jin is here," Du Ruo heard Su Jin's voice and looked at the snack box that Aunt Yang took over, her eyes glancing at her. "Hanhan has a good habit and can sleep until dawn."

"Ayi taught him well, Hanhan basically only eats milk powder." Su Jin pushed the credit to Lu Shiyi, and Lu Bairen waved his hand.

"Don't flatter that brat. He is the only one who can take good care of Hanhan. I think you should take care of both father and son." Su Jin held Lu Bairen with his left hand and Du Ruo with his right hand as they walked into the living room.

Uncle Yang pushed the stroller, and Aunt Yang carried a box of snacks into the living room.

"This is the cake I made!" Su Jin pointed to the beautiful pastry in the box. "Grandpa and grandma can't eat anything too sweet, so I used fruit sweetness and cream instead."

Su Jin made it using the baking powder in the space. When she bought the oven, Su Jin specially bought a lot of baking powder.

Taking advantage of the purchasing opportunity, Su Jin wandered around the Friendship Store and found that there were baked flour, cream, etc.

Lu Shiyi took the opportunity to buy some baking powder and cream. Su Jin was famous for making these pastries.

"Grandpa and Grandma can have two snacks a day," Su Jin instructed Aunt Yang, "and the remaining four are for Uncle Yang and Aunt Yang. This is my first time making this, so I'm not sure if it suits your taste!"

Aunt Yang brought out a plate from the kitchen and put a piece of dessert in front of each person. Hanhan looked at the various desserts on the plate and happily stretched out his claws to grab them.
