Su Jin took out the things she needed to take, while Lu Shiyi went outside and nailed a box with wooden boards and put the wine in it.
"You will go to work later. Let Zong Li pack her luggage today and stay in the guest room tomorrow." Hanhan likes Zong Li, so Lu Shiyi usually takes Zong Li with him when he moves out, and Wang Yuan stays on the farm to help Lu Shiyi with some work.
"I understand!" Lu Shiyi nodded at Su Jin. "Wang Yuan will stay on the farm to help with the work. He will call me if there is any urgent work."
Su Jin watched him change into his training uniform. He held her in his arms around the waist, kissed her on the forehead, glanced at his still sleeping son, and whispered softly in her ear.
"I might be back later today." Lu Shiyi patted her back gently. "Let's put Hanhan in there and have someone take care of him. I'll translate some more so we have an excuse to send him to the office. Thank you for your hard work, my wife."
Su Jin nuzzled her face against his chest. "I'll take care of it. I'll send one-third of the translation materials tomorrow. Do you want to take the rest home and translate them?"
"Take it back and translate it." Lu Shiyi nodded. "There's no guarantee that there won't be unexpected situations along the way. Taking the information back with you will give you another option."
Su Jin planned to take the remaining books back, although those were her old textbooks, which were translated by others after several years, and some were improved versions.
"I'll prepare dinner for you in the evening!" Su Jin also said softly.
After seeing Lu Shiyi off, Su Jin fed Hanhan, put him in the stroller, and started pushing him while packing his luggage.
This time they planned to return to the imperial capital for a month. Apart from Hanhan's more things, they and their spouses had very few things. She also planned to take some meat and grains.
Although the two elders of the Lu family have a high status, the food in their home is also rationed, and the old man occasionally gives food to his comrades in need.
Lu Shiyi also often sent food back home, so the Lu family didn't have to queue up all night at the supply and marketing cooperative because of food problems.
After packing her luggage, Su Jin glanced at the watch on her wrist. It was already 3:30 in the afternoon. After changing Hanhan's diaper, she gently coaxed her son to sleep.
Hanhan is a well-behaved child. As long as he is well fed and has enough water, he won't make a fuss if you ask him to work.
At first, Su Jin thought that he was the same as her. Lu Shiyi said that Hanhan looked like him when he was a child. When Lu's mother looked at Lu Shiyi's childhood appearance, she thought that he had developed abnormally.
When Lu Shiyi was born, his parents were at their busiest. His mother had no time to take good care of herself, which resulted in Lu Shiyi being born at just 7 months old.
After entering the small kitchen, she took out four bags of food from the space, which were filled with miscellaneous grains, rice, white flour and cornmeal.
Su Jin also put 5 kilograms of cleaned seafood in the vegetable washing sink. She planned to make braised seafood in the evening, and also serve it with corn cakes and a plate of cold cabbage.
After finishing his work, Lu Shiyi returned home and saw Su Jin coming out of the small kitchen. He immediately went to greet her and took out some food.
"I love eating mixed sea fish!" Lu Shiyi likes this dish. Songjiang Commune is not far from the seaside. In winter, some seafood will be sent over from the coastal areas.
