Chapter 126

Chapter 126

After getting the promise from her parents, Shuangshuang regained her former lively and cheerful self. She knew that her parents and grandmother would always be with her.

Every day when we go to school, we go out with a group of friends. When school is over, everyone is not so calm anymore. Sometimes we are in a hurry to go home for dinner, and we run faster than rabbits.

"Shuangshuang, come out and play skipping rope after dinner." said Xixi, who had been Shuangshuang's classmate from nursery class to elementary school and then to junior high school.

"Okay, let's gather after dinner!"

Lu Tian stood behind the two of them and suggested changing the game, "Let's play hopscotch. You guys are jumping rope, but we boys can't play."

Shuangshuang and Xixi disagreed, "Why can't we play? You can also jump rope."

Lu Tian: "..."

Hou Xiaobao, who appeared out of nowhere, interrupted, "Yes, Shuangshuang, let me do it, I'll jump!"

"No way, Hou Xiaobao, don't dance with us. Forget it, you boys should just have fun by yourselves, and we girls will have fun." Xixi pulled Shuangshuang's hand and got Shuangshuang's approval.

When we entered junior high school, everyone liked to play with boys and girls, unlike when we were kids, when everyone liked to play together.

Hou Xiaobao sighed and said, "What's going on? These two people have absolutely no revolutionary friendship."

Repeating the routine of going back and forth between two points, the first-year junior high school students both faced their first final exams in junior high school.

The test results were very good, and the little girl has already shouted about it to the world seven or eight times.

"Dad, my Chinese score is 98 and my math score is 99."

"Mom, I still have a lot of room for improvement."

Cheng Zheng and Jian Lu looked at the cocky and humble lady without saying a word. They just made eyes at each other and tried to hold back their laughter.

"Grandma, did I do well on the exam?"

Aunt Wang's face wrinkled with laughter. She patted her granddaughter's cheek and saw her smirking. "Good! Better than your dad! We are both the best!"

"Really?" Shuangshuang sat down next to grandma and put his hands on her arm. "Grandma, wasn't Dad a good student? Didn't he do as well as me in the exams?"

Auntie Wang started talking and immediately told her granddaughter about her father's glorious past of skipping school in elementary school...

"Ahem, Mom..." Cheng Zheng felt helpless. He was already this old, but how could his mother still tell his embarrassing childhood stories to her young lady?

Doesn't he want to save father Yan's face?

"Dad, did you skip school when you were a kid?! Eh~" Shuangshuang raised the corners of her mouth, as if she knew something important about her dad, "I don't skip school, I'm serious in class."

"That's right!" Jian Lu said proudly, hugging the approaching lady, "The child will be with me."

Cheng Zheng was speechless in rebuttal, after all, his own mother had exposed his true colors.

In order to reward Shuangshuang for getting good grades in the final exam, Aunt Wang specially made some of her granddaughter's favorite dishes.

Braised pork with mushrooms, pineapple and seafood shrimp rice and crab roe buns.

Shuangshuang ate a big bowl of seafood shrimp noodles and two crab roe buns, and ate a piece of braised pork in red sauce. Her little mouth was greasy and she even took the initiative to wash the dishes.

"Grandma, please sit down. Do you want me to pluck out your white hair?" Shuangshuang stepped on a stool after washing the dishes and came out. She looked at her grandma's hair full of silver hair and felt a little melancholy.

Aunt Wang used to have nice hair, thick and dense. Stroking her short hair, she recalled the past, "When I was a girl, I had nice hair too. You have nice hair now too. Everyone in our family has nice hair, thick and beautiful. Now grandma is old..."

Shuangshuang was lying on grandma's lap, and when she heard that, she looked up and said, "Grandma is not old!"

"Hahahaha." Aunt Wang half-embraced her granddaughter, narrowed her eyes and spoke slowly. "As you grow older, grandma will get older, won't she?"

"Grandma, you are not old. Let me give you a back massage."

Shuangshuang stood up, walked around behind grandma, and started to massage her back. After hearing grandma say that she felt better, they also gave a massage to mom who was busy working beside them.

Jian Lu was looking at a work report. She and Cai Xiujuan contracted part of the largest freshwater lake in J City to cultivate pearls. Last year's annual output was good, and the harvest was quite abundant.

I was watching it intently when I suddenly felt someone massaging my shoulders. The force was not too strong, but gentle and very comfortable.

"Mom, you work and I'll give you a massage."

"Why are you so well-behaved?" Jian Lu didn't turn around and enjoyed the service of the lady.

"Of course, I'm a good boy."

Shuangshuang was so busy that she was out of breath. It was only until her mother called her to stop that she had time to rest.

When her father came back from the army, the little girl volunteered to massage her father's legs. She was always fair and would massage anyone who wanted one.

As a result, when he hammered it down, Shuangshuang pouted and hit his father's bone, which hurt his hand.

Shuangshuang: "..."

Jian Lu has been busy these days with Cai Xiujuan, worrying about the breeding situation at the Xinyue Lake in J City that they have contracted. The output there is large and the breeding conditions are good. Once developed, it will be better than here in H City.

The two of them went to J City again and registered a second company, specializing in using the pearls here to produce high-end jewelry series.

Years later, Jian Lu and Cai Xiujuan met with Hong Kong businessman Cai Siqiang. The two-year contract was about to end, and both parties had a pleasant cooperation. Cai Siqiang added another three-year order, which was also worth a lot.

The couple's pearl farm now has an annual profit of over one million. Last month, the couple appeared on TV and were praised for helping farmers get rich.

"Mr. Cai, I heard that you have a department store in Hong Kong?" After Jian Lu finished her own work, she helped others.

Cai Siqiang heard this and thought that Jian Lu and the others were interested in department store supplies. "So? Are you two planning to change careers?"

"That's not the case." Jian Lu took the opportunity to talk about Dunzi. "My son has opened stalls in S City and G City, selling goods from the port city. It's not easy for young people to do business, so I want to see if you have any way to sell goods. If not, it will give the young people more opportunities to practice."

Cai Siqiang has heard in recent years that many people from the mainland have used various channels to trade goods in the port city and make a lot of money. The business opportunities are huge now, but he looks down on such petty tricks.

"Let Lao Liu take a look when the time comes. I can't remember these clearly."

That was all. Jian Lu thanked Mr. Cai and turned around to have a meal with Dunzi and Cai Siqiang's assistant.

"Brother Liu, this is my godson, Liang Jingyi. I have watched him grow up since he was young. He is a steady and steady person with a sharp mind. You can just take a look at him and give him some advice."

After these two years of experience, Dunzi no longer looks like the naive boy he was a few years ago. He is now wearing a specially tailor-made suit and chatting happily with Cai Siqiang's assistant in a very professional manner.

"Xiao Liang looks young, but speaks maturely. It must be difficult to run a business for a few years?"

"Uncle Liu, I'm still young. My mom and Aunt Lulu both said that it's a good thing to suffer more. Suffer when you're young, and enjoy happiness when you're old."

Assistant Liu looked at him and smiled, then recommended a supplier in Hong Kong to him.

The personal recommendation was not worth mentioning to Cai Siqiang, and it was also a trivial matter to Assistant Liu, but it made Dunzi's business expand instantly like water into the sea. After that, he was even busier. He made a fortune while the policies had not yet been completely regulated and tightened.

Seeing Dunzi busy, Jian Lu and Cai Xiujuan returned to H City.

She was busy for more than a month, traveling back and forth between several cities. She was almost too busy to rest. When she returned home, it was the eve of Cheng Zheng's birthday.

Shuangshuang specially accompanied her grandmother to cook longevity noodles for her father. While her grandmother was kneading the dough, Shuangshuang was washing vegetables and onions beside her.

When the noodles were being cooked, there was a sudden noise at the door. Shuangshuang seemed to have a premonition, "It must be Mom coming back!"

I ran out and saw a familiar figure at the door.

"mother!"

But Dad was one step faster than her and had already gone over to help Mom carry the luggage.

"Why did you come back today? Didn't you say you would come back tomorrow?" Cheng Zheng looked at the night sky and didn't ask me to pick her up.

Jian Lu smiled and said, "I'll give you a surprise! Surprise?"

"Happy, very happy." Cheng Zheng was naturally happy that his wife had returned. He put down his luggage and prepared the longevity noodles.

"I'll go cook another bowl for Lulu." Seeing that her daughter-in-law had not had time to eat, Aunt Wang got up and went to the kitchen.

"Shuangshuang, get a bowl and a pair of chopsticks." Cheng Zheng called his daughter.

"good."

Cheng Zheng picked out half of the noodles, poured some noodle soup, and pushed the bowl of fragrant hot noodles towards his wife.

"Eat yours. This is your longevity noodles." Jian Lu was still thinking that this was his birthday noodles. "Mom will make it for me in a while."

"Eat first." Cheng Zheng knew his wife's temper. She felt uncomfortable when hungry. "Let's live long together."

Does that sound right?

Jian Lu couldn't resist the persuasion and started eating the noodles right away. The noodles were chewy and tender, so when the second bowl came, they each had half and half, and only then were they satisfied.

It was almost midnight, and Jian Lu, who had been busy for a long time, was still unable to sleep.

Cheng Zheng glanced at his wife in his arms, whose eyelids were drooping, and curled his lips in the night, "Go to sleep, it will be the same tomorrow."

"No..." Jian Lu yawned and looked at her watch. The minute hand on the delicate watch was a little short of the middle. It was almost there. "I must wait until midnight and send you birthday wishes as soon as possible. This is called a sense of ceremony. Do you understand?"

Even though she has been traveling a lot for more than a month and is exhausted from work, and now all she wants is to sleep, she has to persevere!

Looking at her watch, Jian Lu tried hard to cheer herself up and fight against sleepiness.

It was midnight. Jian Lu looked over and said to Cheng Zheng, "Happy birthday, Comrade Cheng Zheng. On behalf of the organization, I wish you all the best!"

Just as Cheng Zheng was about to speak, he felt a wet heat on the left side of his cheek. Jian Lu quickly kissed him on the face and then stepped back.

Cheng Zheng held his wife's hand tightly, feeling warm inside. They had been married for fourteen years and had been together for many years, but at this moment, he still felt a thrill.

After kissing his wife's head, Cheng Zheng whispered, "Wife..."

"Um..."

Cheng Zheng wanted to say something else, but he heard a soft breathing sound on his shoulder. He looked down and found that his wife had fallen asleep.

Cheng Zheng smiled helplessly, his mouth raised, "You really insist on going to bed at dawn?"

I can't hold on for even a second longer.

Cheng Zheng leaned over and kissed Jian Lu on the cheek.

The next day, which happened to be a day off, the Cheng family had a great time. Two tables of people were seated at Cheng Zheng's 41st birthday party.

There was a sumptuous meal on the table. Liang Haisheng and Xu Lang brought a bottle of white wine, and together with Lu Jianwen who also came, they toasted Cheng Zheng with several glasses of wine.

"Come on, Lao Cheng, don't say anything, it's all in the wine."

"We have known each other for decades. It's been a short time."

Cheng Zheng took a sip of the wine, and the spicy and stimulating taste of the liquor spread in his mouth domineeringly, making him feel refreshed.

The children also came to celebrate the birthday.

Led by Dunzi, a group of children wished Uncle Cheng a happy birthday.

Shuangshuang was the last one to go on stage, and she had carefully prepared a birthday speech.

"Dad, happy birthday, good health, peace and everything goes well!" The little girl was already quite tall, with a little flesh on her cheeks, which gave her some traces of her childhood. She had delicate eyebrows and eyes like Jian Lu, a nose like Cheng Zheng, and she was good at picking out the good-looking parts of her parents.

Cheng Zheng was in a good mood today. He had a rare moment of drinking and his eyes were a little dazed. He touched the girl's head lovingly and said, "Shuang wish Dad a happy birthday. Dad will definitely be happy!"

"Dad, please buy me more candies!" Shuangshuang smiled playfully and smacked her dad on the face.

Liang Haisheng watched and was really envious. This girl was so good. She wished her father a happy birthday sweetly and kissed him on the cheek. How could she be treated like this if she gave birth to a son!!!

Looking at Dunzi again, I thought if this kid talked to me like Shuangshuang and kissed me... forget it, I got goosebumps all over the floor, it's too scary.

"Shuangshuang, don't worry, your father will definitely buy you candies, and all his salary allowances are yours!" Xu Lang was also drunk and shouted in a loud voice.

Shuangshuang felt something was wrong, "Uncle Xu, my father's salary and allowance all come from my mother!"

Hahahaha

Everyone in the room laughed when they heard this, and said that Shuangshuang understood everything.

Jian Lu couldn't help laughing when she heard this. This kid really can say anything.

After lunch, it was already afternoon when we finished packing up everything.

The guests left and Cheng Zheng sat alone on the sofa making a phone call.

"Second brother, okay, I know your intention is there... Next time we meet, let's have a few drinks together. Aren't you talking nonsense? I can drink as much as you and third brother put together. Okay, you too, okay, bye."

Cheng Zheng's second brother Cheng Liang called to say hello. He is now the director of a grain station and is living a good life.

As a result, not long after the second brother Cheng Liang called, the third brother Cheng Jun also called.

"Third brother, I know, you are so thoughtful. Second brother called... I received the food, your niece loves it. Okay, let's try to go back during the Chinese New Year this year, so that the three families can have another lively New Year..."

On the phone, Cheng Jun, who was promoted to the head of the frontier army, congratulated his elder brother on his birthday and actively planned to return home to visit relatives. "Brother, we haven't seen our second brother for a few years. We have to go back and see him... We must go back and see if he can still climb mountains and walk down rivers..."

Going up the mountain and down the river, Cheng Zheng recalled his teenage years when he and his second and third brothers ran around the village, and it was so lively...

Cheng Jun's voice reminiscing about his childhood was heard in his ears. Cheng Zheng raised his eyes and saw that outside the gate, in the yard, his wife was discussing the matter of planting flowers with her daughter.

"Mom, what is the name of this flower we are growing?"

"Bougainvillea." Jian Lu asked someone for some branches, trimmed them into about ten centimeters, and prepared to plant them.

Shuangshuang took a small shovel to help loosen the soil. She loved planting flowers, which were pretty and colorful. She had always planned to convert the area in the vegetable garden where bitter melons were planted into a flower garden, but her mother disagreed.

Of course, she wouldn't say that she had this idea because she hated eating bitter melon.

She just loves flowers too much, well, that must be it.

The mother and daughter were busy working in the fields, looking forward to the beautiful sight of bougainvillea growing in patches. Aunt Wang was watching them with a hunched back, giving them some pointers from time to time.

“Brother…Brother…”

"Hey." Cheng Zheng retracted his gaze and turned his attention to the other end of the phone, curling his lips, "Okay, it's settled. The whole family will go back this year."

Spring, summer, autumn and winter, accompanied by the breeze, I saw with my own eyes that the bougainvillea I had planted grew taller and taller, with the bright red petals blooming brilliantly, as beautiful as a painting.

Jian Lu went home carrying the package and letter she had just received.

The things were sent from her hometown. Jian Xin has been able to write letters to Jian Lu independently through studying in the anti-blindness class and self-study.

In the letter, she said that the ginseng plantation at home had developed well and started to supply stores in the provincial capital. The family built a red brick house and a large yard. At the end of the year, the money was divided. Each of the three families received 30,000 yuan, and Jian Lu was given an additional 30,000 yuan as a dividend for her investment.

"Lulu, I've never seen so much money in my life! Now our house is so beautiful, with six rooms, so it will be spacious when you come back next time."

The letter ended by mentioning that the eldest sister's children, the oldest and the third, were going to get married one after the other this year, one getting married and the other getting married. The second child in the middle heard that the current dating partner was not interested, which made the eldest sister very worried.

Jian Lu replied with a smile, dipped her pen in ink, and wrote quickly on the letter paper.

After finishing the letter, Jian Lu suddenly noticed someone coming into the room. She turned around and said angrily, "When did you come back? Why are you walking so quietly?"

Cheng Zheng smiled and said, "You are too serious when writing letters. I called you several times, but you ignored me."

"Really?" Jian Lu did not hear anything. She put the letter into the envelope and discussed with the man, "Xiaofeng and Xiaoling are getting married. Let's prepare the gift money to send back. I also want to buy some more gifts."

Cheng Zheng naturally had no objection, "All right. How about going to the department store in a few days to have a look?"

"become."

It was a rare opportunity for the couple to have some time alone together. During the summer vacation, their children had grown up and loved to go out and play, so they had to worry less and less.

In the department store, I picked out a beautiful silk scarf and a pair of women's leather shoes for my niece, and a white shirt and a pair of ceramic bowls with the word "happiness" on them for my nephew. I packed them up and sent them out.

"Nowadays, there are so many things to buy for a wedding. I heard that the four major items are no longer popular." Jian Lu also heard this recently. When she and Cheng Zheng got married, it was considered good to have a sewing machine and a bicycle. If they could also collect watches and a radio, it was simply the best arrangement.

Cheng Zheng was too far away from getting married and had no idea what was going on. He asked, "What do you have now?"

"They say that being able to buy a TV is the most prestigious thing."

"That's true. Televisions are so rare." After Cheng Zheng finished speaking, he suddenly thought of his daughter-in-law. "If she gets married in the future, we have to set higher standards. She can't afford a television, washing machine, refrigerator, and fan."

"How far are you thinking?" Jian Lu glanced at him. "You have high requirements for material conditions? Comrade Cheng Zheng, didn't you say before that these are not important?"

Cheng Zheng said sternly, "For others, it's enough for two people to like each other, but the man my daughter is marrying is not good enough. He can't even buy these things. Are we going to let Shuangshuang suffer?"

Jian Lu saw that this man was probably into the role, "Come on, you are thinking too far ahead. How old is your daughter? It's too early for her to get married. You should stop trying to be your father-in-law."

As soon as he returned to the house, he saw them both watching TV. In recent years, there have been more and more TV series, and people often cannot stop watching them. Cheng Zheng looked at his daughter who was addicted to TV and thought about how she would get married. Forget it, he couldn't think about it. He couldn't bear to think about it.

No matter which brat comes, he can't show a good face to him! He must let people know that his father-in-law is not easy to mess with, and he must not bully his daughter.

Deputy Brigade Commander Cheng has a fierce face and is very majestic, especially in the army, where he is regarded as the iron-blooded and ruthless King Yan in the eyes of the recruits.

Other regiment commanders and political commissars occasionally had a good look on their faces, but when Deputy Brigade Commander Cheng appeared, he was so intimidating without even getting angry that anyone who saw him would unconsciously tense up.

In front of me was a group of young soldiers wearing military training uniforms, each with a short haircut, looking energetic and with a determined look in their eyes.

Cheng Zheng stood in front of the special operations brigade's competition stage, his eyes scanning the soldiers below the stage one by one. Wherever his sight reached, everyone held their heads high and chests puffed out, standing straight, forming horizontal and vertical straight lines.

"I declare that the Special Operations Brigade's autumn 1985 competition for the entire brigade will begin!"

Cheng Zheng announced loudly that the soldiers were divided into teams to compete in weight-carrying running, crossing the ground pile net, shooting, sprinting, and mine clearance...

It's another year of competition. Special Operations Brigade Commander Guo sat in the back, looking at Deputy Brigade Commander Cheng, who was a generation younger than him, and said with emotion, "These young guys are very aggressive."

Cheng Zheng nodded, "Young people, work hard and do great things."

He captured Hu Tou, the son of his sacrificed comrade Hou Changde, in the crowd. Times have changed. The comrade who was by his side back then has been sacrificed for many years, but his son has become a soldier under his command and is crawling forward through the barbed wire.

Sweat mixed with mud splashed onto his face, making Cheng Zheng dazed for a moment and thinking he saw Hou Changde's face.

He raised his hand to straighten his navy cap. Under the brim of the cap, Cheng Zheng's face was serious, and his sharp jawline was like a sharp blade. He kept staring at the soldiers, as if he saw the shadows of many people through them.

Including himself.

——"Old Cheng."

Liang Haisheng has now been promoted to the position of Director of the Political Department of the Third Brigade. Hearing that the Special Operations Brigade is busy with a big competition recently, he waited for the competition to end and invited Cheng Zheng to have a drink and dinner.

"Let's get together, there's a new restaurant on the island, the food is really good."

Cheng Zheng took off his hat and put it in his hand, but refused, "I'm busy today. I have to go to the county town."

"You're going out at this hour? What are you doing?"

"I'm going to celebrate my fifteenth wedding anniversary with my wife." Cheng Zheng looked at Liang Haisheng and pursed his lips, feeling proud. "Do you know what this is called? A sense of ceremony, understand? Let's go."

Liang Haisheng watched his good brother walk away in big strides, and almost couldn't help rolling his eyes, "Is the fifteenth anniversary so great? Xiuhui and I have been married for twenty-two years. Am I showing off? Am I bragging? I'm just giving you face! I'm afraid I'll offend you!"

After returning home, Liang Haisheng pondered what Lao Cheng said, the sense of ceremony, and suddenly said, "Wife, we have been married for 22 years this year. You said, we..."

Feng Xiuhui was knitting and immediately became alert when she heard this. "What's the matter? Want to increase your pocket money? I tell you, you can't be married for 30 years, let alone 22 years."

Liang Haisheng: "..."

What the hell is this sense of ceremony? It's useless!

Jian Lu was waiting at home for Cheng Zheng to come home after finishing his work in the army. Just when she was about to ask him to leave, she heard Cheng Zheng say that he wanted to change his clothes.

A slender hand with distinct joints opened the closet door, and Cheng Zheng took out a white shirt and gently shook it open. The shirt was of ordinary cut, but the style was not outdated. Jian Lu stared at it for a long time.

Cheng Zheng took off his shirt, revealing his muscular body, and then put on a white shirt and buttoned it up one by one, covering up his beauty.

Admiring the man's still-amazing figure, Jian Lu, who was still a little unsatisfied, suddenly remembered something, "Isn't this the dress I gave you that year?"

Cheng Zheng was dressed neatly, buttoning up his shirt tightly as usual. He smiled when he heard the words, looking very handsome, "You remembered? It was the first piece of clothing you gave me."

Fifteen years had passed, and how could Jian Lu still remember where she put the first shirt she gave to Cheng Zheng? Over the years, the family bought more and more things, especially clothes, and she almost forgot about it.

"This dress is of really good quality. It just looks a little worn. I never thought that my craftsmanship was quite good back then."

The two of them went out together and headed straight for the county town. They both watched their parents leave with a little sadness. When they heard that they were going to live in a world of two, they sighed softly. Oh, how nice it would be to live in a world of three. She wanted to go too.

After having dinner at a restaurant in the county town, the two of them went to see the most popular movie at the time, which was a love-themed movie and tickets were hard to get.

Cheng Zheng, who was used to watching revolutionary films, was still a little uncomfortable. However, when he saw the soldier hero express his feelings to the heroine, he thought of himself and Jian Lu.

After the movie, the two walked around the street, preparing to go to the last stop of the day to take a wedding anniversary photo.

The owner of the photo studio carefully selected a bright red background for them. Looking at the handsome man and beautiful woman, he excitedly promoted the veils he had just bought from Shanghai.

"Comrade, why don't you wear this? Nowadays, some people in big cities like to wear wedding gowns when they get married. They wear foreign things and white wedding dresses, like rich ladies. I can't afford a wedding gown for the photo shoot, so I bought a veil. It looks interesting when I wear it on my head."

Jian Lu looked at the veil that the boss handed over. The pure white yarn was beautiful and romantic. "Okay, I'll wear this for the photo shoot."

The pure white veil on her veil was like a flower blooming downwards, half covering Jian Lu's delicate face and adding a touch of hazy beauty to this face that was carefully sculpted by the years.

Cheng Zheng stood beside her. Even in his middle age, he still had an upright posture. He glanced sideways at Jian Lu who was hidden under the white veil, and his heart beat fast as if he had just met her for the first time.

Click.

The sound of shutter clicks rang out, and the couple's fifteenth wedding anniversary photos were taken and they would be able to pick them up next week.

When leaving the photo studio, Jian Lu was still holding a veil in her hand, which Cheng Zheng had just asked the boss to sell.

"Why are we buying this?" Jian Lu stroked her veil and felt a slight tingling sensation.

"It looks good on you." Cheng Zheng, who never liked taking photos, remembered what his boss had just said, "Next time we'll go take those wedding photos the boss mentioned."

“Do you still like taking pictures now?”

"That's different." Cheng Zheng looked at his wife. Time didn't seem to have left many marks on her. "You are the same as when I first saw you. You haven't changed at all."

Especially those eyes, it seems like they can see into my heart.

"Huh, I remember that you didn't like me when you first met me, and you wanted to send me away!" It would have been better if she hadn't said it. When she did, Jian Lu was very fluent in bringing up the old accounts from fifteen years ago.

Cheng Zheng smiled, "Actually, I liked you the first time I saw you."

Jian Lu's eyes widened. "I don't believe you've learned to be smooth-talking now."

"real."

——

On the island, Cheng family.

Mom and Dad have had their own world of their own, and Shuangshuang, who is alone at home, doesn't want to treat herself badly. She runs upstairs to Mom and Dad's room to find something to eat.

She remembered that her mother brought back some chocolates, but in order to prevent herself from eating too much at one time, she left half of them in the house.

After opening the drawer and looking around, Shuangshuang still hadn't found the chocolate. However, while rummaging through things, she accidentally touched her father's notebook.

A piece of thin paper fell out of the yellowed and old notebook.

"What is this?"

Shuangshuang picked up the thin paper from the ground. The square piece of paper was a train ticket. The ticket had turned yellow and was probably quite old. It read:

Departure Station: City C

Final stop: H City

Date: February 11, 1970

Passenger: Jian Lu

"Why did Dad keep Mom's train ticket from fifteen years ago?" Shuangshuang couldn't figure it out, and put the train ticket back into her notebook.

A small train ticket, lying quietly in the notebook, opens up the story and witnesses the years.
