Chapter 22 Autumn Harvest (Part 1/2)

Chapter 22 Autumn Harvest Part 2

Han Jinghuai stood there in a daze, looking at a loss, his eyes filled with surprise that he could hardly conceal.

He turned around with a smile on his face and strode over, repeatedly confirming in a hoarse voice:

"Really?"

"Ningning, does that mean you agree to be with me?"

"Ningning, tell me, do I understand what you mean?"

"Girl, answer me quickly, huh?"

Xu Wanning's face was red like a red apple. She nodded awkwardly and muttered in a low voice:

"Yes, you were too stupid yesterday and misunderstood."

"Hmph, Han Jinghuai, you are the dumbest idiot in the world."

"Great, I have a wife too."

Han Jinghuai was very excited when he heard this. He went forward and hugged her tightly, fearing that she would run away again.

Xu Wanning pushed the man away and looked around to see if there was anyone around before saying to him:

"Han Jinghuai, please let me go first. It will have a bad impact if someone sees me like this."

"Han Jinghuai, I'm still young. It might take another three to five years for me to get married."

"So I don't know if you can wait..."

Han Jinghuai looked at her affectionately, thinking to himself, "My wife is so beautiful!" He touched her hair in a rude manner and said,

"Yes, it's nothing. Let alone three or five years, I'll wait even for ten or eight years."

"As long as you agree to be with me."

After sending Xu Wanning to the educated youth point, Han Jinghuai walked alone on the road to his home. He was usually very cold, but there was a smile on the corner of his mouth, and he hummed a song from time to time, looking very proud.

The villagers who met him along the way found it very strange. This kid usually had a stern face and acted as if no one wanted to give him money. Usually, the kids in the village would be scared to tears when they saw him.

The old ladies who were several generations older than him in the village boldly called him over to gossip, and said jokingly with a smile:

"Xiao Han, what great news do you have?"

"Just tell us and make us happy!"

"Yes, yes, tell us what you mean!"

Han Jinghuai curled his lips and said nonchalantly:

"Hey, isn't this Aunt Guihua? Why are you so happy? Could it be that my brother Jianjun is getting married?"

One of them, an old lady in gray clothes, scolded angrily with a smile:

"Go to hell, you little bastard, stop trying to change the subject."

"Your mouth is almost sticking to your heels. Are you greedy for your wife?"

Two blushes appeared on Han Jinghuai's face and went straight behind his ears.

One of the short-haired women quickly echoed:

"Oh my god, look at this brat's face, it's as red as a monkey's butt."

"Really? Did I get it right?"

Han Jinghuai's face flushed and he yelled in frustration:

"You old ladies have nothing to do all day long."

"It's so fucking annoying."

A group of people burst into laughter...

On the other side, after Xu Wanning arrived at the educated youth point, she lay sprawled in the room.

Although Han Jinghuai did most of the work for her, she still felt burning and painful all over, as if she was falling apart, and she didn't want to move at all.

After a while, the door opened with a bang, and Lin Qiqi and Su Xiaomei also came out of work.

"Ningning, I'm here!"

"Oh my god, I'm so tired today. My hands are almost broken."

"If this continues, I'll be crippled."

"Reaping wheat is really not a human job!"

Lin Qiqi kept on complaining to her, and even rolled up her sleeves and showed her her hands.

"Wow, Ningning, look, my hands are all blistered!"
