Chapter 41 Wild Ginseng
Wang Dahua found it funny after hearing this. These kids had never suffered any hardship. Most of the kids in the village started working to earn money when they were fourteen or fifteen years old. The younger ones started going to the mountains to collect grass for pigs when they were seven or eight years old.
"Hey, this isn't too small. In our area, children from poor families have to grow up early."
"But Han Jinghuai is a child with a miserable life!"
"His mother died when he was young, and his father found another one. He grew up in the village with his grandparents."
"But when he was still a teenager, the old couple passed away, leaving him all alone."
"But luckily he's a good hunter, and his family never lacks meat."
"If this guy didn't have such a bad temper, all the girls in the village would have been rushing to marry him. But when he gets angry, he's so scary."
"The little kids in the village would burst into tears when they saw him."
"Who would dare to marry like this? Although marrying a man provides food and clothing, if your life is gone, what's the point of having so much meat?"
"I heard that guy can kill a wild boar with one punch!"
Lin Qiqi stood aside, her mouth gaping in surprise, wondering if Han Jinghuai was really that scary. Would he hit her daughter Ningning if they argued again?
"Aunt Wang, didn't you make a mistake?"
"Han Jinghuai doesn't look that fierce, does he?"
"Han Jinghuai is tall and handsome, how could there be no girls who would dare to marry him?"
Wang Dahua saw that they didn't quite believe it, so she had to explain patiently:
"You kids have only been here a few days. You don't know that when he was a teenager, he beat a few guys in their twenties who bullied him half to death!"
"He was only a teenager at the time, and the guys who bullied him were much older than him!"
"When I was sixteen or seventeen, I was chased by a wild boar in the mountains. I raised my hand and punched it to death!"
"Later, some braver little girls went to his house to look for him, but they were so frightened that they burst into tears and ran out desperately, crying and shouting for help."
Xu Wanning covered her mouth and laughed convulsively when she heard this. Although Han Jinghuai, the villain, was indeed powerful, he couldn't kill a wild boar with one punch. Isn't this too exaggerated?
Near noon, Wang Dahua took them down the mountain with baskets on their backs. They planned to have lunch before continuing up the mountain to collect firewood.
After returning to the yard, Xu Wanning closed and locked the door, then opened the backpack to show Lin Qiqi.
When Lin Qiqi saw that there was a wild rabbit in the backpack, her face instantly broke into a smile of joy.
"Two wild rabbits?"
"Oh my god, there's a pheasant here!"
"Ningning, you are so amazing!"
"Where did you catch this?"
"How come I didn't even see a single rabbit hair?"
Xu Wanning complained in her heart, of course you didn’t see it, I took it out of the space.
Xu Wanning said perfunctorily without blushing or beating her heart:
"Maybe it's because I walked too far!"
