Hospital

Hospital

Letang really didn't expect that Kitano Ji would ask him out today.

"How do you know today is..."

Letang swallowed his words back halfway through.

"What's going on today?" Kitano Ji propped up his chin and looked at the ever-changing scenery outside the car window. "Can't I ask you out today?"

"But the college entrance exam is in two days, and I want to go home and review."

"You're such a good student, why do you need to cram at the last minute? Besides, don't you still have tomorrow? Plenty of time for you to review."

Letang suppressed his wandering thoughts. He was a time traveler, and Kitano Ji couldn't possibly know that today was actually his birthday.

It was a coincidence that Kitano Ji took him to the largest amusement park in S City.

Seeing Letang standing there motionless, Beiye Ji rubbed the back of his neck: "Why are you standing there like an idiot?"

"No," Letang looked back at him, "I'm very happy."

Kitano Ji was dazzled by his smile and leaned forward: "Kiss me if you like me."

The touch of emotion in Letang's heart disappeared in an instant. He strode forward with small steps, trying to quickly get rid of Bei Ye Ji.

Unexpectedly, Kitano Shu easily caught up with him, grabbed his arm and walked towards the tallest vertical roller coaster.

"Do you dare to sit down?"

Behind me was the fleeting scream of someone on the roller coaster.

"Why, why don't you dare?"

They spoke boldly, thinking that they could prepare themselves mentally while waiting in line. However, they found out that Kitano Ji had bought a super VIP express pass, and they were the next batch to enter.

Looking at the roller coaster track up close and listening to the riding instructions repeatedly stated on the broadcast, Letang felt his legs go weak.

Kitano Ji glanced at him and said, "It's still not too late to leave now."

The roller coaster slowly drove in, and the railing in front opened automatically. Tourists around sat on it one after another, forcing them to do so.

Letang didn't know how he sat on it. He held the metal handle in front of him with both hands. His palms were sweaty and he felt that no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't hold it tightly.

"When you're at the highest point, remember to raise your hands." Kitano Shu was still teasing him.

Letang didn't know what happened next.

I just felt that after reaching the highest point, my body was no longer my own.

The cheers and screams of the people around him exploded in his ears, and then he was blown away by the wind. His body was swung back and forth by inertia, and he couldn't even lift his head. He could even hear the terrible "cracking" sound of his cervical vertebrae.

After getting off the roller coaster, Letang felt his legs were weak and his neck was sore that he couldn't lift it up at all.

I sat on a bench by the roadside to rest, but my neck started to hurt more and more.

"how's it going?"

Kitano Ji opened the water he bought, but he still didn't respond. He squatted down and touched his forehead: "Nausea? Do you want to vomit?"

Letang shook his head slightly, which caused his neck to become painful and the corners of his eyes to turn red.

Seeing that he kept rubbing his neck, Kitano Ji's expression suddenly became serious: "What's wrong with your neck?"

"No...it's okay...we just played one project..."

"What's more important now, your health or fun?"

Letang was startled.

As if realizing that his tone was a bit harsh, Kitano Shu pressed his frown irritably.

"Come on, I'll take you to the hospital."

Letang was pulled by him to jog for two steps. He couldn't lift his neck at all. He felt so uncomfortable that tears were about to fall out, but he kept his mouth closed and couldn't say a word.

He could sense Kitano Shu's irritability, perhaps blaming him for spoiling his fun.

The sun was extremely glaring, and when it shone on the light-colored floor tiles, it was so bright that people couldn't open their eyes, and the surroundings were in chaos.

But after a few steps, the person in front suddenly stopped.

The crouching back of Kitano Shu appeared in the field of vision.

"Come up."

"I'll carry you."

Letang hesitated: "No, I can do it myself..."

"If you don't come up, I'll forcefully kiss you right here."

Pretending to be fierce.

When Letang lay on top of him, he hit a bone on his chest.

Unlike him, Kitano Shu's body was warm and radiating a vibrant heat. He seemed to have even sprayed perfume today, a bold rose scent that wasn't overpowering. It wafted from the back of his neck, and when he rested his cheek on his shoulder, he could be enveloped by the scent, which lessened the pain in his body considerably.

"Thank you." Letang whispered in his ear.

"If your neck hurts, don't move."

Bei Ye Ji walked very steadily, as if he was afraid of hurting him. His strong hands held his thighs tightly, rarely touching other parts of his body. His well-behaved appearance made Letang almost think that he had been possessed by someone.

When they reached the car door, Kitano Ji was still reluctant to let him go.

Letang shook his legs in confusion: "What's wrong?"

"Looks like a hamster."

"?"

When Letang was put down, he realized that Kitano Ji was looking at him through the reflection of the car window and said that he looked like a hamster lying on his back.

It seemed that he was really not feeling well. Letang did not argue with him today. He lay quietly in the back seat without saying a word the whole time.

The driver found a nearby Grade A hospital and was so anxious that he almost ran a red light.

It is lunch time now. Most doctors are taking a lunch break and the patients are also eating. It is a rare period of free time in the hospital.

Kitano Shu rushed to the registration counter and asked, "If I twist my neck on the roller coaster, which one should I hang myself on?"

"roller coaster??"

The other person was a very young doctor, obviously freshly graduated. When he heard the word "roller coaster," he stood up immediately, his eyes revealing a moment of confusion: "Orthopedics... right?"

Seeing that the doctor was so nervous, Kitano Ji became even more anxious. He borrowed a wheelchair to push Letang, but was afraid that running too fast would hurt his neck. He could only ask people to make way while pushing the wheelchair slowly.

The doctor sitting in the clinic looked even younger, wearing a pair of black-framed glasses, but even that couldn't hide the clarity in his eyes that showed he hadn't suffered the harshness of society.

Letang could tell at a glance that the other person was still an intern.

Sure enough, when the other party heard that Letang twisted his neck while riding the roller coaster, his expression instantly became quite flustered. Turning around and seeing Letang being pushed in by a wheelchair, he was even more at a loss than the patient himself: "Wait a moment..."

Then he typed quickly on his phone. If I guessed correctly, he was calling someone.

Kitano Ji looked impatient: "Can you hurry up?"

I almost rushed up and grabbed him by the collar.

The intern had never seen such a scene before and was so frightened that he stuttered, "Please, please don't be so anxious..."

The cell phone rang suddenly. Kitano Ji paused and looked at the screen, seeming a little surprised, but he turned around and looked at Letang, and for some reason he hung up without answering.

The bell rang again relentlessly.

Letang glanced at his expression and it seemed to be a very important call.

"You go answer the phone, I'm fine."

Kitano Ji hesitated for a moment, said "I'll be back soon", answered the phone and went out.

I don’t know if it was a coincidence, but the person who called was Lin Nuo.

Kitano Ji felt strange and picked up the phone: "Hello?"

A cheerful voice like sunshine came from the other end of the receiver: "Aji, guess where I am now?"

"Which small country in Europe? Or Iceland to see the volcano?" Every time he talked to Lin Nuo, Bei Ye Ji would be unconsciously infected by him and be led by him.

But when he lowered his head and glanced at the registration form in his hand, he suddenly remembered that Letang was still in the clinic, and it was really not the time to chat with Lin Nuo.

"It doesn't matter where you are. If there's nothing else, I'll hang up first."

"Why are you so impatient, Ji? Did I upset you?"

Kitano Shu subconsciously retorted: "No..."

"I've returned home."

Kitano Shu was stunned for a moment: "What? So soon? Didn't they say it would take at least half a year?"

"Well, I missed home, and I missed you and Zhixu, so I came back first. I just got off the plane, are you free? I want you to pick me up."

Bei Ye Ji stroked the registration form in his hand and said, "If it really doesn't work, ask Fu Zhixu to pick you up. He should be free."

"Ah?" A lost voice said, "But I want to see you first. Come pick me up, please... please, Ji."

Kitano Shu closed his eyes with a headache.

He was worried about Letang and wanted to stay with him.

But as soon as the words of refusal came to my lips, they inexplicably turned into a helpless sigh.

"Send me the address."

As soon as Kitano Ji left, the intern breathed a sigh of relief and poked his head out from behind the computer: "You... your friend, he really cares about you."

Seeing that Letang was pretty and well-behaved, he couldn't help but want to chat with him for a few more words. Letang even felt that this intern was about to forget that he was a patient.

"What's wrong?"

The door was pushed open from the outside, and a tall figure strode in from outside, looking exhausted. When he passed by Letang, he blew up a gust of wind that smelled of disinfectant.

The intern quickly stood up and said, "Teacher Lin, you're here. This patient said he twisted his neck while riding a roller coaster."

Letang looked up: "Ah."

"Is it you?"

The other party was obviously a little surprised, but he quickly asked about Letang's health in a businesslike manner. Letang didn't dare to think about anything else and honestly told him what had happened.

"Are you feeling anything else in your body?"

Letang thought for a moment and said, "Everything else is fine, except my neck."

He held out an index finger: "Hold it tight and see."

The man's hand was much wider than his, and just one of his bony fingers was longer than his clenched fist, making his fist look slender and small.

The man had many calluses on his knuckles, which felt rough and itchy when rubbed with his palms.

"Tighter."

Letang obediently used all his strength, but the man seemed to feel nothing, his face remained normal, his knuckles slightly bent, rubbing the sweat on his palm.

"Everything else seems normal."

The man pulled out his finger: "Where does your neck hurt?"

As he asked, he walked around behind Letang and pressed and rubbed his neck with his strong hands.

"Ouch! It hurts here!"

As soon as he cried out in pain, the hands that were pressing on him suddenly increased their strength. One hand pressed hard on the painful spot while the other hand pinched his chin to force him to lean back. Le Tang's voice suddenly changed in pain.

However, no matter how much Letang cried out in pain, the hand that was pinching his neck showed no mercy. The neck that was being pinched turned from its original white color to pink like a cooked shrimp, and the pain was so severe that he slammed the table and begged for mercy.

The interns watching nearby couldn't bear it. From their perspective, Letang's face was so small that it could be covered by their teacher's palm. When he pinched his neck so hard, the veins on the back of his hand were bulging.

He touched his neck and felt that it was beginning to hurt.

He carefully observed his teacher's expression, but he still looked indifferent. He sighed in his heart that not everyone could be an orthopedic surgeon. If it were him, he would have stopped long ago.

At some point, the man finally let go and calmly sat back at the table to write the medical records.

There were still forced tears at the corners of Letang's eyes, which fell down as soon as he relaxed. He looked very aggrieved, and his voice became hoarse from shouting in pain.

He looked at the man's indifferent expression, and thought of how he had cried in front of a stranger because he was afraid of pain. It was really embarrassing, and he couldn't help feeling angry.

"We'll take an X-ray later, but it shouldn't be a big deal. It might be that there's something wrong with your cervical spine from bowing your head for so long."

When he heard that they were going to shoot another movie, and recalled the misunderstanding in the school's psychological counseling room, Letang didn't want to bother with them anymore.

Why do I make a fool of myself every time I don’t go back for a meeting?

He glanced at the name pinned on the man’s chest—Lin Shaoxing, deputy director of orthopedics.

It was only when we met for the third time that I finally knew his name.

What a rival.
