Chapter 285 Buying Comic Books

Two days later, Gao Shujing received a call from the town's transportation team, asking him to come over and fix the car.

The children jumped up excitedly, because it meant they could go to town to buy comic books soon.

Doki: "Oh, great! Finally, I can go to town."

Little Dorje had no concept of going to town. Seeing his older brothers so happy, he grinned foolishly and waved his chubby little arms, saying in a childish voice, "Town, town."

In high spirits, Dorjee couldn't resist teasing the little guy: "Does Dorjee know what's in town?"

Dorje asked cutely, "Is there?"

Duolu pinched the little dumpling's chubby face and laughed loudly, "You little fool, you don't know anything and you're just laughing like an idiot here."

Dorje refused to cooperate, using a bit of force to break free from his second brother's pinch on the cheek, and retorted in a childish voice, "Second brother, you're naughty, I don't want to play anymore."

Duo Shou chuckled: "Duoji, there are comic books in town, your favorite comic books!"

Dorje, who was fascinated by the comic book, immediately forgot about his second brother's teasing and said happily, "I want a book."

The little guy was jumping around so much that he almost fell to the ground, but Duofu caught him in time: "Be careful, don't fall."

That's what I said, but as soon as the little guy stood up, he started jumping again.

On the day they were to go to town, Yu Rujia got up earlier than usual.

The main problem is the weather in August and September; if you go too late, it gets incredibly hot outside.

With a group of children serving her water and towels, Yu Rujia finished her meal with her family and prepared to leave.

Gao Guojing instructed, "The four older children, follow me and run to town. Don't fall behind, understand?"

There are three adults in the family. If I ride a bicycle, I can definitely take them with me.

The trip to town was a rare long-distance run, perfect for training a few kids, so we didn't let them ride bicycles.

Having practiced martial arts for several years, Duofu and his companions were no longer the weaklings they were when they first arrived at the Shangfen Brigade. With their current physical strength, they could easily run several laps between their homes and the town.

Upon being called upon, the children lined up behind Gao Guojing, from smallest to largest, with Duofu bringing up the rear.

When Dorje saw his brothers lining up below, the little boy struggled in Gao Shujing's arms and stretched out his short arm, which had grown a little chubby, pointing at Duofu and the others.

Dorje pouted and said, "Dad, I want to go, I want my brother."

Gao Shujing hugged his chubby son and coaxed him, "Good boy, you're still little. Stay with Daddy for now, and when you're older, you can run with your brothers."

The little guy wouldn't have it, and still pointed at the line, saying in his childish voice, "I want a big brother, I want to run."

Yu Rujia: "Let him run if he wants to. Duoxi was about the same age as Duoji when he ran with Duofu and the others every morning. It doesn't matter."

When Duoxi fought his first fight with Tiedan and others, he was the same age as Duoji is now. He couldn't walk steadily and couldn't speak clearly. The little guy could still cry and howl while pulling his little fists to fight.

Dorjee was also a boy, and he was given Qizhi Dan and Qiangti Dan right after birth, so his physique was no worse than that of Dorjee.

At that time, Xiao Duoxi was determined to follow his older brothers to practice martial arts and become stronger. Yu Rujia thought that he was just having a passing interest and would give up soon.

Unexpectedly, Xiao Duoxi has been getting up and running with her brothers every single day without fail.

When it comes to self-discipline, this kid is better than Yu Rujia, an adult, in many ways.

Upon hearing this, Gao Shujing placed the little bun in front of Duoxi, patted his head, and instructed, "If you can't run anymore, come out and don't stop your older brothers from running, okay?"

Dorje nodded his little head in agreement.

The impatient Dorjee was dumbfounded. When Dorjee went out to play with them, they would often have to find a place to sit down after playing for a while.

If Dorje is allowed to join their ranks, when will they be able to go to town to buy comic books?

Thinking of this, Dorjee's little face scrunched up: "Uncle, Dorjee is too small to run, let him ride the bicycle."

Gao Shujing: "Duoxi was this age when he got up and ran with you every day. Duoxi can do it, and so can Duoji. Duoji, don't you agree?"

Dorje raised his chin and said in a soft, sweet voice, "I can do it, Fourth Brother can do it too."

Duoxi was the first to stand up and support his younger brother, who was the first to call him "Fourth Brother": "Duoji, Fourth Brother believes in you, keep it up."

Unable to persuade Dorje, Dorje had no choice but to abandon the idea and turn his gaze to the leader, Gao Guojing: "Uncle Guojing, we are ready, we can run."

Gao Guojing's energetic voice rang out: "Alright, let's go! Keep up!"

A group of people were running ahead, and Gao Guojing deliberately slowed down because of Xiao Duoji.

At first, the line was fairly orderly, but after running for a few minutes, Dorje started to wobble and sway, his little body veering left and right. At this point, Dorje would pull the little guy back into the line.

Yu Rujia and Gao Shujing followed slowly behind, each riding a bicycle.

Dorje, who has been running around all year round, is in better physical condition. The little guy ran with the team for most of the distance, but then he couldn't run anymore.

Exhausted and drenched in sweat, he was supported by Duoxi and could barely stand. A slightly listless look appeared on his round face.

Dorje hurriedly stepped forward: "Dorje, come here, let your second brother carry you." He turned around and squatted down, gesturing for Dorje to climb onto his back.

Duofu walked over and pulled Duolu up: "Duolu, it's not your turn to carry Duoji, I'll carry him."

Gao Shujing stopped his bicycle: "You guys keep running, Dorje will come with me on the bicycle."

Dorjee has finally gotten his kick out of running and has been able to keep going thanks to his older brothers who have been constantly encouraging him.

He was just too tired. When he saw Gao Shujing coming over, the listless little guy opened his arms and threw himself into his arms.

Seeing that he had taken over Dorje's care, Dorje immediately rejoined the group: "Uncle Guojing, you run, run faster, we can keep up."

Having finally gotten rid of Dorje, who was holding them back, Duolu wanted to take the opportunity to leave quickly, lest Dorje recover and try to run away with them again.

Without Dorjee's team, they ran incredibly fast, and within minutes they arrived in town.

Gao Shujing had to go to the transport team to repair the vehicle and couldn't accompany them shopping. After handing the still exhausted Xiao Duoji to Gao Guojing, he parted ways with the others.

A large group of little ones poured into the bookstore, making the space feel slightly crowded.

Duolu eagerly leaned over the counter and asked, "Big brother, where are your comic books?"

The white and tender little buns are instantly endearing.

The shop assistant pointed to a spot: "Look, the comic books are over there."

After a string of thank yous, the little ones swarmed over.

"We don't have this picture book, and we don't have this one either."

"Journey to the West, there are two books, three books..."
