Chapter 406 On the Road 01

Yu Rujia: "When Auntie says it's time to get on the bus, you can go up and put your things on the seats to reserve them. There are many of us in the family, so we need at least six or seven seats."

Duolu raised his fist and swung it confidently: "Auntie, watch me, I'm sure I can get a spot."

Dorje snuggled up to his mother and said, "Mom, I'll take up a spot too."

Yu Rujia reminded the little guy, "It's important to secure a spot, but don't fall behind!"

Duofu: "Auntie, I'll pull Duoji along later."

Duoshou: "Then I'll just take Duole with me."

Duoxi looked around. His 'little sister' was being held by her uncle and didn't need him to pull her, and there was no younger brother to pull her either, so he could only say, "I'll stick with my second brother to save a spot."

I waited at the station for half an hour before a car came.

A group of people shoved into the car.

Gao Shujing shouted loudly, "This is the bus. Look carefully, get on the bus one by one, don't fall behind."

Yu Rujia followed at the back, counting her children until she made sure they were all on the bus before squeezing onto it herself.

As soon as they got on the bus, Duolu's loud shouts rang out: "Auntie, we're here! We're here!"

There were too many people blocking her view, so Yu Rujia squeezed through the crowd following the sound.

My kid is really something else, taking up three rows of seats, all of them two-seaters.

Duofu and Duoshou sat in a row with Duoji, while Yu Rujia sat in a row with Duole and Duoxi.

Gao Shujing sat in a row with Duolu and Duoyi.

People are all taken care of, but they have to squeeze in with the stuff.

After two hours of bumpy travel, we finally arrived in the city.

Duoluduoxi, who had once roamed the mountains like a tiger or leopard, vomited all over the ground as soon as he got out of the car.

Yu Rujia quickly took out the water she had prepared and handed it to them: "Wash your mouths and rest for a bit."

Duofuduojiduole's stomach was also upset, but he didn't vomit.

Duo Shou was perfectly fine and was even able to prepare preserved plums for his brothers.

These preserved plums are made from wild green plums they picked in the mountains; they're sweet and sour, and a real appetite stimulant.

After vomiting, Duolu and Duoxi leaned on their brother to catch their breath; both of them looked paler than usual.

These two kids are collectively known as the "Silly Brothers" in their family. They've always been the naughtiest of the kids, and this is the first time they've seen them so weak.

Fortunately, they were young, and after lying there for more than ten minutes, they regained some of their energy.

Duolu pouted and said, "Auntie, I don't want to ride in this kind of car anymore."

It was terrifying. He had never been afraid when fighting tigers, but riding in a car was different. There were so many people inside, and the various complicated smells made him feel nauseous.

He would rather fight several tigers, even if he was beaten to the ground by his older brother and couldn't get up, than suffer like that again.

Yu Rujia said regretfully, "We'll have to take the train to Jiangcheng, and we'll have to take it back too."

Duoxi's face turned pale again, and she started to back out: "Auntie, how about we don't go to Third Grandpa's place and go home instead?"

Going home only requires one more bus ride, but going to Jiangcheng would require countless trips. Duoxi said he would do the math.

Gao Shujing put Duoyi on the ground, held his hand with one hand, and comforted Duoxi with the other: "The cars behind won't be as uncomfortable, you'll see when you get on."

Duo Yi was well protected by his father, and apart from his face being a little pale, he didn't seem to be feeling unwell.

After getting off the bus for a while, the little guy recovered. When he saw his fourth brother, who was feeling unwell, he swung his little legs over, took his hand, and softly called out, "Fourth Brother."

Duoxi, who had been looking downcast, immediately perked up. He couldn't let his 'sister' think he was useless.

Duo Xi held Duo Yi's little hand and teased him as usual: "Duo Yi, come here, let your fourth brother give you a hug."

Duo Yi let go of his father's hand and rushed into his fourth brother's arms. The two brothers laughed happily, and the other brothers also gathered around.

Thanks to Xiaoduoyi's contributions, the older brothers quickly became full of energy again.

The moment they saw the train, the country bumpkins' eyes widened in amazement.

Dorje exclaimed, "What a big vehicle! Mom, are we going to ride in one of these big vehicles too?"

Yu Rujia: "Yes, the vehicle we're going to ride in next is this kind, but not this one. You have to stay close to us and don't fall behind, or human traffickers will kidnap you and you'll never see us again."

Dorje waved his little fists without any fear, looking fearless: "I'm not afraid. If he dares to come, I dare to hit him."

Despite saying that, the older children still found their respective caregivers and held hands in pairs.

After waiting a while, during which they ate something to tide them over, their train finally arrived.

Having experienced riding the bus before, Duolu and Duoxi were somewhat afraid of this train.

Dorjee's voice trembled slightly: "Uncle, do we really want to get in the car?"

Gao Shujing comforted him, "This train is better than the car in front. You'll be fine. Let's get on."

They had booked deluxe sleeper tickets, which were separated from the seated and standing tickets by a sleeper berth. There weren't many people boarding the train from their side, so they didn't have to squeeze in like dumplings in a pot, unlike the regular seats in front of them.

Led by Gao Shujing, the children followed behind hand in hand, with Yu Rujia bringing up the rear. The group successfully boarded the train and arrived at their own compartment.

The private room had three bunk beds and three sinks, and even a bathroom with a sink. You had to get hot water from outside.

It's about eight or nine square meters in size. Although it's not even half the size of one of their rooms, compared to the crowded seats outside, this is a mansion.

Upon seeing the interior, Duoshou asked, "Auntie, are all six beds ours?"

Yu Rujia: "Yes, this private room belongs to our family. No one else will stay here."

Dorjee sniffed the air; it didn't have the same complicated smell as in the car, and he could accept it: "Uncle, it smells better here."

Gao Shujing put down his things, opened the window to let the air circulate for a while: "If it gets cold later, close the window."

Doki expressed his opinion: "Aside from the fact that the space is a bit small, and with the windows open, it's almost like a house on the ground, are all trains made up of small houses?"

Yu Rujia: "Dream on. We paid a lot of money to buy tickets here. The bus outside isn't much better than the one you were on. If you're curious, you can go out and take a look."

Duoxi immediately backed down: "I'm not going, I'll stay here."

Dorje and Dorje were already happily bouncing around on the bed.

Dorji: "Mom, can I sleep in this bed tonight?"

Unlike the discomfort of riding in a car, little Duoji Duole's childlike spirit was awakened. It was his first time riding in such a big vehicle, and he was incredibly excited.
