Chapter 438 The Gluttonous Duolu's Persistence

Duofu's icy expression cracked slightly: "You got about ten pounds of stuff, why didn't you bring me any?"

With so many things, it's easy to guess that a large portion of them belong to him.

They didn't leave him, the rightful owner, any of it. Is that reasonable?

His own father has the nerve to call others bandits, but isn't he the same?

Should he be glad that he can't eat letters, otherwise he wouldn't even be able to see them?

Xia Jingsheng: "Is the school short of food for you? If you're not full, just take the money and buy some outside. Here's some money and coupons. Buy whatever you want to eat. I only have a little bit of food on hand, so don't worry about it."

As he spoke, he pulled out a large stack of RMB 100 bills from his pocket, stuffed them directly into his hand without counting them, and made his wealth and arrogance crystal clear.

In other words, you can ask for money, but don't try to squeeze food out of me.

Before leaving, the unscrupulous Xia Jingsheng also told Duofu the list of the things he had received, and told him to mention in his reply that the things were delicious, so that Yu Rujia and the others would find out that Duofu had not received anything and would not send them anything in the future.

The people of Shangfen Brigade were completely unaware of Duofu's ordeal. Every two days, the children would ask Yu Rujia if the things had arrived.

A week later, Yu Rujia finally gave a different answer: "Based on the distance, we should have arrived."

Duolu: "I don't know if my brother can get used to the food over there. As for me, I don't really get used to the food from outside."

The foodie Duolu felt that nothing tasted as good as his own food. He was fine eating snacks outside, but he had to eat his main meals at home.

Yu Rujia: "Your older brother's school is close to home, so he can eat at home and cook whatever he wants."

"As for you, you should try to adapt. You're going to military school, right? Once you get there, you won't be able to eat food from home anymore. If you don't adapt, you'll go hungry."

She had no idea how demanding Duofu's studies were, and how he had to be busy until at least 10 p.m. every night before he could return to his dormitory.

I used to think that universities were like industrial schools, with hours from 8 am to 5 pm, and plenty of time to go home and do what I wanted.

Doro didn't seem to mind: "I can cook for myself, I'm a great cook."

Yu Rujia: "You can't just come and go from the military academy. You'll have to live inside. There's no place there to cook for you."

Da Congming Duolu said, "Uncle Guojing can go home after training, can't we go to Third Grandfather's house to cook after training like him?"

This kid, before even arriving in Jiangcheng, has already set his sights on Xia Taishun's family.

Yu Rujia: "Jiangcheng is very big. The military academy is not with Uncle Guojing. Since you can't even leave the military academy, you won't be able to cook for him."

Doro realized what was happening and screamed, "I'm done for!"

Duo Shou nudged him: "Are you still going to take the military academy entrance exam?"

Duolu hung his head and hesitated for a while. Just when everyone thought he would give up military school for food, the kid suddenly clenched his fist.

Duolu said fiercely, "I have to take the exam. If I pass the military academy, I can join the army and then go to my third grandfather's house to cook."

Everyone was surprised, never expecting that he would give up his favorite food in order to join the army.

Duoxi hesitated for a moment and said, "Second brother, why don't you postpone the exam for a year, and then we can both go to military academy?"

Doro: "No, I'm a year ahead of you, so we can't take the exam together."

His younger brother is important, but repeating a grade is too embarrassing, so Duolu says he doesn't want to do it.

Duoshou: "Duoxi can try harder and skip a grade so that you can be in the same grade as us and take the college entrance exam together. If you have any difficulties with your studies, you can come to me."

Duoxi's grades are certainly good, but he just hadn't thought about it in this way before.

Upon hearing this, Duo Xi turned to Yu Rujia and asked, "Auntie, can I skip to the second year of junior high next semester?"

Yu Rujia: "If you pass the exam, you can study with Duolu, but you are too young, and it's uncertain whether the military academy will accept you. Let's ask again later."

Dorjee shared his thoughts: "Mom, the university I want to go to is one where I can cook at home."

Yu Rujia: "That's not necessarily true. Not all universities allow students to cook at home."

Dorjee: "Then I'll apply to the school my older brother attends, where they can cook."

If others heard why this kid applied to Peking University, they would probably beat him up, right?

However, Yu Rujia did not dampen his enthusiasm. People who come from the top universities can make a name for themselves wherever they go.

Yu Rujia: "Only the most outstanding people can get into that university. Your older brother is the top scorer in the province. There are millions of test takers in a province, and your older brother is the most outstanding one. If you want to get into Peking University, you'll have to work much harder."

Duoyi, a little dumpling who can't recognize many words and doesn't understand anything, also raised his hand to join in the fun: "Mom, when I grow up, I want to go to Peking University too."

Yu Rujia rubbed the little guy's head: "You have good taste, but it won't be easy to get into that school. We'll talk about it when you're older. For now, learn to read with your brothers."

The first four children were introduced to education by Gao Shujing, while the later children, Duoji, Duole, and Duoyi, were introduced to education by several older children.

Duo Yi's chubby little face showed a serious expression, making the little dumpling look even cuter: "Mom, I already know dozens of characters, and I can go to my older brother's school in the future."

Duolu patted his cute little face and encouraged him, "Your second brother will teach you, and I'll definitely make you the coolest kid in your class."

With the summer vacation approaching, Duofu quickly booked tickets, said goodbye to his heartless family, and returned to Shangfen Brigade with his friends.

Less than six months after he left, he felt as if he had been away from home for many years.

A group of younger brothers surrounded Duofu, asking him about his life at university, and Duofu patiently answered each question.

The little guy was short and his view was blocked by a group of older brothers. He pouted aggrievedly, glanced at the gap between his second and fourth brothers, squeezed his small body between them, and successfully squeezed into the circle of older brothers.

The little dumpling clung to Duofu's thigh, its chubby little body bobbing as it climbed up Duofu's lap.

Duofu, who was talking to his younger brothers, felt a movement between his legs. He looked down and saw a little dumpling climbing on his legs like a tree.

Noticing his gaze, Roubaozi revealed an innocent smile.

Duo Yi called out in a childlike voice, "Big Brother."

Duofu picked up the little guy and sat him on a chair that Duoshou had just moved over, placing the little bun between his legs.

Xiao Duoyi was satisfied to have successfully met up with her older brother whom she hadn't seen in a long time, and she grinned from ear to ear.

Duofu's icy expression softened with a smile: "Duoyi, what are you laughing at? Why are you so happy?"

Duoyi said softly, "I'm so happy that my brother is back. I missed him."

Thinking of the pile of food we sent earlier, Duoyi asked, "Big brother, have you eaten the jam we sent you?"
