Chapter 522: You're Too Suppressed

On the way, the driver said, "Little brother, why do you always go to Laoyapo these days? I told you that place is dangerous, it's better not to go there." I laughed and said, "It's okay, I love adventure." I thought you are spreading rumors, the Laoyapo tube building is not that scary. The driver sighed and said nothing. When we arrived, Tiekuai and I got off the car. Standing in front of the tube building, Tiekuai looked at the dilapidated old building with only seven floors and frowned slightly.

"What's wrong, Brother Tiekuai?" I was a little surprised. I have known Tiekuai for so long, but I have never seen him show such an expression.

"This place is full of murderous atmosphere." Tiekuai shook his head slightly and took the lead to walk towards the building.

"Nonsense, you have an occupational disease." I chuckled twice and followed him closely.

After entering the building, a chill hit me in the face. This is a normal phenomenon in old buildings, so I didn't take it seriously. When I went upstairs, I met a few more residents. Since I had been here twice with Li Wenchao, I was familiar with these people, so I called them "auntie, uncle" and so on. Tiekuai followed me without saying a word. He usually had a silly grin on his face, but now his expression was very serious, as serious as a rock that had stood for a thousand years. And those residents who should have been friendly and amiable looked at Tiekuai with strange eyes at this moment, and seemed to be a little wary and alert.

"Wang Hao, who is this?" one of the middle-aged uncles asked me. Li Wenchao had introduced me to them, so they knew my name. I immediately said politely, "Uncle Li, this is a friend of mine who came to see Uncle Qi." Uncle Li looked up and down at Tiekuai: "Cure illness? He doesn't look sick." I said, "He is not here to cure illness. He is Uncle Qi's old friend and came to chat with Uncle Qi." Uncle Li nodded: "Is that so? Then go upstairs quickly." I didn't take it seriously, thinking it was just a greeting between neighbors, so I continued to go upstairs with Tiekuai. When I arrived at Uncle Qi's door, I knocked on the door and started to call, "Uncle Qi, I brought Tiekuai!" Tiekuai stood beside him, rubbing his hands, with an excited look on his face.

After a long while, we heard a few coughs from the door, and then the door slowly opened, and a gray-haired old man appeared in front of us. Tiekuai said excitedly: "Uncle Qi!" Uncle Qi looked up at Tiekuai and said with a smile: "You have grown so big, come in quickly." Tiekuai and I went into the house together, and Uncle Qi was busy pouring water for us.

Tiekuai said quickly, "No, it will shorten my life!" Although he was still as quiet as before, it was the first time I saw him so humble. From this, we can imagine that Mr. Qi is indeed very powerful and probably had a glorious past of being able to call the wind and rain.

Uncle Qi said with a smile, "It's okay, it's okay." He still poured us some water. While doing these things, he was still coughing, which really made the King of Hell angry. Tiekuai looked around the house and said, "Uncle Qi, live a simple life." Uncle Qi still smiled and said, "It's better to live a simple life. Sit down and drink some water." Tiekuai sat on the bench, his expression still respectful, like a primary school student preparing for class. Uncle Qi knocked on the table and asked casually, "How is that old guy Ye Yushan?"

Tiekuai's eyes turned red, and he said, "Mr. Ye has passed away."

"Ah?" Uncle Qi's face changed drastically: "When did it happen? Was it because of the enemy's pursuit, or was it caused by illness?"

"Neither." Tiekuai said, "He died suddenly. He was fine the day before and was happily planning Young Master Ye's wedding. The next day, he never woke up again. It was only two months ago. Fortunately, the old man made a will before he died, so the Ye family didn't fall into chaos because of this. Now Young Master Ye is in charge of all affairs."

Uncle Qi didn't say anything for a long time. His hands began to tremble slightly and two lines of tears appeared on his face.

"This old thing..." Uncle Qi burst into tears and said, "He really died before me! I didn't expect that my words would come true! I'm afraid that old thing Ye Yushan still hated me before he died, right?"

Tiekuai also cried: "Uncle Qi, it's not true. The old man often thinks of you and is concerned about your health. If you hadn't suddenly disappeared, the old man would have sent us young ones to visit you more often."

"It's all my fault, it's all my fault." Uncle Qi stood up shakily, and suddenly fell to his knees, heading towards Xinxiang City, wailing: "Ye Yushan, you old thing, how could you bear to die before me? You haven't even won a chess game with me!"

Tiekuai also burst into tears and knelt down beside Grandpa Qi, wailing, "The old man often talked about this matter when he was alive. He said he wanted to go to Beiyuan and dig three feet deep to find you. But there were too many things going on in Xinxiang, and he could never get away..."

The old man and the young hugged each other and cried bitterly, reminiscing about Ye Yushan, whom I had never met and would never meet again in this life.

I suddenly felt that I was redundant here, and I should let them reminisce about the past in the remaining time. Although I didn't know what kind of grievances and hatreds Ye Yushan and Uncle Qi had, it was really not something I should listen to. So, I quietly left the door amid the sorrowful cries of the whole family. With a "click", I closed the door, isolating their cries.

I took a deep breath and knocked on the door opposite. After a while, Li Wenchao opened the door for me with a grin.

"Brother Hao!" In just a moment, Li Wenchao's painful expression turned into surprise: "Why are you here?"

The beautiful sister went to work, and Li Wenchao was alone at home. Although he could move his limbs, he was still inconvenient to move, so he took a long time to open the door for me. "I was afraid that you would be bored at home, so I came to accompany you." I said with a smile.
