When he came to this small space, a sound similar to the hissing of a mouse sounded. Hearing this sound, Zhang Yunfei smiled with satisfaction. It was still dark in front of him. He fumbled on the wall for a while, and then with a "click", the light came on. In the small space full of debris, there was a student tied up. There was tape on the student's mouth, and the "hissing" sound was made by him. There was a dog chain tied around his neck, and the other end of the dog chain was tied to the leg of the table next to him. Next to his body, there was a bowl of water and a few cold steamed buns, and the air was filled with a fishy smell.
This environment is really no different from a doghouse. However, the person tied to the leash is not a dog, but Xiao Mao.
When Xiao Mao saw Zhang Yunfei coming in, he immediately showed a look of fear and pleading, and his body twisted like a maggot.
"Are you hungry?" Zhang Yunfei bent down, patted Xiaomao's head gently, and then tore off the tape on his mouth. Xiaomao immediately bit the steamed bun next to him, and after swallowing a few mouthfuls, he put his mouth to the bowl of water and drank it up. The whole set of coherent movements was almost the same as a well-trained dog. What kind of torture does a person have to endure to make movements like a dog? Zhang Yunfei looked at Xiaomao with a smile, and was very satisfied with his submissive appearance. "Enjoy your last dinner." Zhang Yunfei said, "After tomorrow, you will say goodbye to this world."
Xiao Mao was completely stunned, tears streaming from his eyes. But he didn't dare to cry out loud, he was afraid that he would be killed right now. For him, being able to live a moment longer was a luxury. "Don't you want to eat anymore?" Zhang Yunfei picked up the piece of tape and stuck it on Xiao Mao's mouth again. Xiao Mao shook his head, tears streaming even more fiercely, and he kept pounding his head on the ground, obviously begging Zhang Yunfei for mercy. Zhang Yunfei sneered, shook his head and said: "But when you chose to cooperate with Wang Hao, the world had already sentenced you to death." He stood in front of Xiao Mao, as proud as a god who judges life and death.
"You sold all the information to him, but he couldn't save your life. If you want to hate him, then hate him." Zhang Yunfei shook his head, looking at Xiao Mao who was still "making trouble", and stretched out his hand to the wall next to him. With a "click", the small space fell into darkness again, and Xiao Mao's only remaining hope was completely extinguished. The doors closed again, and Zhang Yunfei left the basement with satisfaction. As long as the key witness was in his hands, no matter how much that person said, no one would believe him.
In that small space, Xiao Mao lay on the cold concrete floor, letting his tears and snot flow out. He wanted to cry out in despair, but in the end, he could only make a few faint "hisses". Xiao Mao recalled everything that had happened in the past few days. Wasn't the so-called hellish life just like this? The broken finger was still aching, but what was this pain compared to the pain in his heart? I'm going to die tomorrow, I'm going to die tomorrow, I'm going to die tomorrow... These words kept circling in his mind. As they kept circling, tears covered his entire face again. Darkness, despair, depression... These words were not enough to describe his current state of mind. These days, he was living worse than a dog. It could even be said that he envied those dogs who could walk freely under the blue sky, which was better than him being imprisoned in this basement without sunlight waiting to die.
There was no hope, not at all. At first, he tried in vain to get help by making noises. But his mouth was taped shut, and no matter how hard he tried, he could only make a "hissing" sound similar to that of a mouse. He also wanted to bang his head against the iron door, but the dog chain bound his body tightly, and it was simply wishful thinking to crawl to the door. Later, he was starving to death, and it was a luxury to have a few bites of steamed buns and a bowl of water.
He finally realized that in this small space, only Zhang Yunfei could decide his life or death. His fate was firmly in Zhang Yunfei's hands. He would die tomorrow. He was so depressed by this sentence that he couldn't breathe. He lay on the ground, without a single bit of strength in his body. This world was dark, maybe it would be better to die, so he wouldn't have to suffer this anymore...
At this moment, a faint sound suddenly came. In the darkness, Xiao Mao immediately raised his head and pricked up his ears to listen to the movements around him. With his experience over the past few days, he knew that it was the sound of a door opening. Could it be that Zhang Yunfei is back again? Did he change his mind and want to send him to heaven now? Xiao Mao's whole body began to tremble. Although he couldn't see, his eyes were still fixed on the iron door in front of him. He clearly heard the doors opening one after another. One... two... three...
When he reached the seventh door, Xiao Mao could not help but curl up his body backwards, as the pressure of death swept over him like a tidal wave.
The last iron door slowly opened, and a beam of light shone in, piercing the darkness of the space.
"Xiao Mao?" A familiar voice sounded. The boy looked at him on the ground in surprise, holding a flashlight.
Xiao Mao's tears welled up again.
For the first time, he realized that even such a weak light could illuminate the entire world.
I supported Xiao Mao and carefully left the basement of Zhang Yunfei's house, and closed the doors one by one. It was not until we were very far away that Xiao Mao cried out "wow", knelt down in front of me and shouted; "Brother Hao... you are finally here..." I quickly pulled Xiao Mao up and comforted him, saying: "It's okay, it's okay." At the same time, I was furious, I didn't expect Zhang Yunfei to torment Xiao Mao like this.
