Chapter 13 The Mystery of Chu Yu's Background

Mo Xiaoyu thought for a moment, then sighed sadly and guessed, "It's possible that my sister is still feeling guilty and in great pain, and that's why she refuses to let me into her dreams."

She told Chu Yu about her and her sister.

When they were young, their parents divorced, and the two sisters lived a difficult life with their mother.

Seven years ago, my gluttonous younger sister stole some bird's nest that our mother had bought as a gift. Fearing her mother's scolding, she lied and said that she had stolen it. When our mother found out, she didn't believe her explanation and even beat her.

In a fit of anger, she ran out of her house. Because she was so angry that she ran a red light while crossing the road, was hit by a car, and died on the spot.

She was wronged and died a violent death, and her resentment was hard to dispel. When she arrived in the underworld, she was unable to be reincarnated, so she was sent to Holy Mountain to purify her soul. After seven years, her resentment was finally eliminated, and she was able to be reincarnated.

She knew her sister was still regretting and suffering because of what happened back then. She had already let it go. Before leaving, she wanted to tell her sister that she had forgiven her and that she should let go of that matter and live a good life.

However, she couldn't send a message in a dream, so she couldn't tell her sister what she wanted to say. In her anxiety, the page of the Underworld suddenly appeared in front of her, prompting her that she could send the letter to the human world through the Underworld's errand service. She tried it with joy, and to her surprise, a deliveryman actually came to pick up the order.

After understanding the situation, Chu Yu took the letter and assured her, "I understand. Don't worry, I will deliver the letter to your sister on time."

Mo Xiaoyu's face lit up with joy: "Thank you so much."

She took a golden stone out of her pocket and handed it to her: "I've run out of ghost money, and this is all I have left. See, can it cover the shipping cost?"

Chu Yu took the stone and examined it closely. It turned out to be a very rare nugget of gold. She held it in her hand and weighed it. It was about 500 grams. She was a little surprised: "This is a very rare nugget of gold. It's worth a lot of money, far exceeding the shipping cost. You don't need to pay that much."

Mo Xiaoyu smiled and explained, "I'm about to be reincarnated, so I don't need this gold nugget anymore. Things from the underworld can't be given to my relatives in the mortal world. Since you can help me fulfill my last wish, I'll give you this gold nugget. It's well worth the money, so please accept it."

Seeing her say that, Chu Yu had no choice but to accept it. He bid farewell to Mo Xiaoyu and rode his electric scooter back to the human world.

Fifteen minutes later, Chu Yu arrived at the apartment building where Mo Xiaoyu's sister lived.

This is an old-fashioned rental house in an urban village. It looks rather dilapidated. The rent here is relatively cheap, and most of the residents are migrant workers from other places.

Chu Yu picked up her phone and dialed the number on the envelope, but no one answered after several attempts. She simply went upstairs to the second floor, to Mo Xiaoyu's sister's residence, knocked on the door, and asked, "Is anyone home?"

No one answered from inside the house. An older woman who had just returned from grocery shopping and lived next door saw Chu Yu and went up to her, saying, "Stop knocking. The girl who lives here hasn't come back for over a month. I heard that she has a very messy private life, often messing around with men. She got pregnant out of wedlock a while ago and eloped with some random guy."

Chu Yu was surprised to hear this.

Mo Xiaoyu's younger sister is named Mo Xiaorou. Mo Xiaoyu said that Mo Xiaorou is introverted, sensitive, and virtuous. However, this neighbor lady said that it was strange that she did such a thing.

Chu Yu chatted with the older woman for a few minutes, learned the general situation, and then left.

After coming out of the building, she calculated based on the number of strokes in Mo Xiaorou's name and her birth date. After that, her face darkened.

The divination result is extremely unlucky, indicating a fatal calamity. It seems that Mo Xiaorou's chances of survival are slim.

The rules of the delivery team stipulate that once a delivery driver accepts an order, the order must be completed unless there are force majeure events.

Now that she had accepted the order, no matter what happened to Mo Xiaorou, she had to find her and deliver the letter to her.

Chu Yu arrived at a deserted alley, took out four tracking talismans from his pocket, and threw them into the air. With a whoosh, the talismans transformed into four small black birds.

Chu Yu instructed the little bird: "Go to Mo Xiaorou's house, familiarize yourself with her scent, and then use that scent to track her whereabouts."

The birds nodded and did as she instructed.

Chu Yu took out her phone, wrote down the actual situation, and sent a message to the Mingtuan back office to report. After learning about the situation, the staff of the Mingtuan contacted Mo Xiaoyu. Mo Xiaoyu agreed to postpone the delivery time and asked Chu Yu to help find Mo Xiaorou's whereabouts.

After the negotiations ended, Chu Yu was about to leave the alley when her phone suddenly vibrated, and a WeChat message came through.

She opened the message and saw it was from the Chu family's butler. It read: "Second Miss, the Old Master has been discharged from the hospital and returned home. He misses you very much. If you have time tomorrow, please come back and visit him."

Chu Yu frowned slightly after reading the message.

The Chu family were merchants and quite wealthy.

Chu Yu's mother, Madam Chu, was the only daughter of the Chu family patriarch. In order to protect the family business, she took in a son-in-law who moved into the family home.

Lady Chu had two daughters and one son, the eldest son and a pair of twin daughters, with Chu Yu being the younger of the twins.

Two years ago, Chu Yu was taken back to the Chu family. Generally speaking, when abducted children return to their original families, their relatives will try their best to make up for it and care for them. However, after Chu Yu returned to the Chu family, apart from Old Master Chu, no one else liked her, especially Madam Chu.

Previously, Chu Yu thought that the Chu family was a wealthy family, and they might look down on her because she came from the countryside and had a rustic air about her, unlike her twin sister who was elegant and intellectual. So, she worked hard to learn etiquette and make herself more polite and elegant. However, no matter how hard she tried, she could not win the favor of those people. Madam Chu was not even willing to give her a second glance.
