Chapter 8 The destined one is about to appear.

Faced with her questioning, Daoist Changfeng's eyes flickered a few times, and he suddenly picked up the fishing rod: "Hey, the fish has taken the bait."

Chu Yu crossed her arms and sneered, "You used this trick last time, do you think I'll fall for it again?"

Daoist Changfeng chuckled dryly, then looked behind her and exclaimed, "Hey, Fourth Brother, what brings you here?"

Chu Yu looked back, but there was no sign of her fourth senior brother. Just as she realized she had been tricked, "plop!" she was kicked into the river. The moment she fell into the water, she jolted awake.

Chu Yu: "!!!"

Damn it! I've been kicked out of the dream again. That old geezer is really cunning.

She muttered a few complaints to herself, got out of bed, saw the secret manual her master had given her on the table, quickly picked it up, and began to study it carefully.

...

Two days later.

In the afternoon, a black luxury car sped along the streets of the city center.

While driving, Song Ze reported the group's recent situation to Fu Yunche in the back seat.

Fu Yunche leaned back elegantly in the back seat, listening to the report while rubbing his temples. He had just attended a meeting at the group, which had lasted a long time, and he was feeling particularly sleepy.

After Song Ze finished his report, he seemed to remember something, took out a talisman from his pocket, and complained, "That Miss Chu said that I would have a calamity within three days, but these three days have gone smoothly for me. There has been no calamity at all."

As for what happened that night, I looked it up online, and it says that the fog at night is poisonous. I guess I inhaled the fog and got poisoned, which caused my hallucinations. It wasn't some kind of ghost wall. I think she's probably a scammer. No, I have to go back and get a refund from her.”

Fu Yunche looked up at the talisman in his hand and also felt that this matter was a bit unreliable. Just as he was about to speak, a car siren suddenly sounded. He looked up and saw that a large truck had suddenly gone out of control and rushed out from the left intersection, crashing into their car.

The two people in the car instantly changed their expressions.

"Ah! A truck is crashing into us!!!"

Song Ze screamed in terror and frantically turned the steering wheel to try and avoid a collision, but the truck was too big and the distance too short; there was simply no time to react.

The next second, with a loud bang, the two cars collided. Their cars were thrown three or four meters away, slid off the road, and came to a stop on the grass by the roadside.

The front of the car was completely smashed, and a plume of black smoke billowed out.

Song Ze, sitting in the driver's seat, was pale and gasped for breath. He found that he was actually fine. He looked at Fu Yunche in the back seat, who was also unharmed.

The two exchanged a glance, both looking surprised.

An impact of this magnitude would normally result in a fatal crash, yet they were unharmed. Looking at the truck on the other side, the front of the truck had a large hole, the windows were shattered, and the driver was unconscious in his seat, covered in blood.

Song Ze subconsciously looked at the talisman paper thrown aside, which quickly turned into ashes.

Song Ze snapped out of his daze and exclaimed, "Could it be that this talisman saved us from this calamity?"

Fu Yunche looked at the pool of ash, his gaze darkening: "It should be."

Song Ze clicked his tongue: "I just said Miss Chu was a liar, and this immediately proves me wrong. I deserve to die; I shouldn't have doubted her."

Fu Yunche thought of Chu Yu and looked at her with new respect; the young girl was quite capable.

After calming down, he instructed, "Go and find out her address. We'll visit her in person to express our gratitude next time."

Song Ze nodded repeatedly, thinking that he would buy more talismans to save his life the next time he saw Chu Yu.

Not long after, the traffic police arrived to handle the accident. After Fu Yunche and Song Ze gave their statements, their car was towed away for repairs, and the Fu family sent a car to pick them up.

Upon returning to the Fu family's old residence, Butler Fu immediately greeted him and respectfully said to Fu Yunche, "Second Young Master, the head of the matchmaking agency, as instructed by the Old Madam, has brought some high-quality women here for matchmaking. They have been waiting in the living room for quite some time. Would you like to go and take a look now?"

When Fu Yunche heard that it was another blind date, he immediately felt a headache coming on.

He knew he was dying and did not want to get married and harm innocent women, but he concealed his illness from the old lady. The old lady, unaware of his condition, wanted him to get married as soon as possible, so she was keen to urge him to get married and arrange blind dates for him.

At first, the old lady would arrange for some daughters of wealthy families to go on blind dates with him, but when that didn't work out, she would ask a high-end matchmaking agency to step in.

This month, matchmaking agencies have sent three groups of people to arrange blind dates, which is extremely annoying for him.

He was very tired and had no energy to deal with those people, so he said, "I don't want to see them now. Let them go back."

"yes!"

Uncle Fu turned and went to the living room to send the matchmaking agency staff away.

Fu Yunche, concerned about his grandmother, walked towards the flower hall where she was.

Madam Fu gave birth to three sons and one daughter. Fu Yunche's father was the eldest son and the head of the family.

The eldest son has two sons, Fu Yunche and his older brother who is three years older than him.

Fu Yunche's mother passed away when he was five years old. His father didn't care about them, and he and his older brother were raised by their grandparents.

Five years ago, the eldest brother was shipwrecked at sea and drowned. In their grief, the old master and madam of the Fu family had no choice but to focus all their attention on Fu Yunche.

A year ago, Mr. Fu passed away, which devastated Mrs. Fu. She fell ill and her health deteriorated rapidly. She also developed Alzheimer's disease and could only recuperate at home.

Fu Yunche brought Song Ze to the flower hall. When the old lady Fu, who was sitting in a wheelchair, saw him coming, her face darkened and she angrily scolded, "The people from the matchmaking agency came, and you didn't even see them and sent them away. Are you trying to go against me?"

Before Fu Yunche could explain, his second uncle, Fu Tongbai, who was sitting to the side making tea for the old lady, accused him with a dark face: "Your grandmother went to great lengths to arrange for people to come, and you have such an attitude. You have wasted your grandmother's efforts. You are such an unfilial grandson."
