After buying the spicy snacks, she rode her electric scooter into a deserted alley, pressed the special cross-boundary start bell on the front of the scooter, and with a whoosh, a black vortex appeared in front of her. She rode her electric scooter through the vortex and instantly arrived at a hillside.
The hillside was covered with rocks, with only a few scattered trees, giving it a somewhat desolate appearance.
As the sun set, large patches of fiery red clouds gathered in the sky, and sunlight shone through the clouds onto the earth.
A gust of cold wind blew by, ruffling Chu Yu's hair.
She looked around, somewhat puzzled. Was this the Demon Realm?
She thought the demon realm would be like in movies and TV shows, dark and gloomy, filled with eerie illusions, like hell, but now, looking around, it's no different from the scenery of the human world.
She took out her phone, opened the back-end of the Mingtuan (冥团) app, and saw that the delivery location was the Bat Cave in the western suburbs of Shanghai.
Where is this bat cave?
Surrounded by jagged rocks, it was difficult to ride the electric scooter. Chu Yu had no choice but to get off the scooter, put it in his storage bag, and carry the takeout bag to search around.
She hadn't walked far when she came to a steep cliff. Looking down, she was stunned by the sight before her.
Dozens of miles below the cliff lies a vast and bustling ancient city, much like Kyoto in period dramas.
Chu Yu was amazed. Was that really Shanghai?
It gives you the feeling of traveling back to ancient times.
After sighing, Chu Yu thought about her work and continued her search for the bat cave.
After searching for a while, we finally found a cave in a secluded corner. The cave entrance had three ancient characters written on it: Bat Cave.
Chu Yu wiped the sweat from her forehead and breathed a sigh of relief; she had finally found it.
She wondered, "Does the bat cave house bat spirits?"
It's quite strange that this bat spirit likes to eat spicy snacks from the human world.
Chu Yu arrived at the cave entrance and shouted loudly inside, "Hello, your takeout has arrived. Come out and get it."
She called out several times, but there was no response from inside. She raised an eyebrow. Could it be that the bat spirit wasn't there?
At this moment, a cold wind carrying a strong smell of blood blew out from inside. Chu Yu's expression changed. The bat demon was injured?
She hesitated for a few seconds, but decided to go in and take a look anyway.
This is the first order in the Demon Realm. If the customer is injured and unable to pick up the food, the order will fail, which will be detrimental to the future development of the Demon Realm's food delivery business.
The cave was pitch black, with countless bats perched on the cave walls, their eerie green eyes staring at her and occasionally letting out threatening cries, creating an eerie and terrifying atmosphere.
To prevent the bats from attacking, Chu Yu took out a talisman and held it in her hand.
Surprisingly, the bats did not attack her, and she made her way to the bottom of the cave without incident.
The bottom of the cave is quite large, with a small pool inside. Water droplets fall from above the pool, making a pattering sound as they hit the surface.
A young man lay beside the pond. He was dressed in ancient style, wearing a black robe and with his long hair disheveled behind his head.
His robes were tattered, he had many wounds on his body, blood was flowing all over the ground, and his face was as pale as paper, making him look like he was dead.
Chu Yu was startled and quickly went to check. She reached under his nose and found that he wasn't breathing. Was he dead?
Was the order placed by the Underworld organization before his death?
Chu Yu wiped the sweat from his forehead in frustration, thinking to himself, "If that's the case, it hasn't been long since I placed the order, so he probably isn't quite dead yet."
Chu Yu, clinging to a sliver of hope, took his pulse.
He had a faint pulse; he wasn't dead yet.
Chu Yu quickly took out a Qiankun bag from her shoulder bag, and took out a bottle of quick-rescue pills and a bottle of mineral water from the Qiankun bag.
She put the pill into the man's mouth and then fed him a sip of mineral water.
Chu Yu felt a little uneasy. These pills were for human consumption; she wondered if they would be effective for demons.
She sat and waited for more than ten minutes when the man suddenly coughed and slowly woke up.
Chu Yu was overjoyed; it had actually worked.
"Sir, you're awake!"
The man ignored her and exclaimed in surprise, "Huh? How come I'm not dead?"
He was puzzled for a moment, then suddenly noticed Chu Yu beside him. His gaze darkened, and a strong killing intent burst forth: "Who are you? Are you here to kill me?"
Chu Yu's lips twitched, and she quickly explained, "You've misunderstood. I didn't come to kill you. I just saved you."
Hearing her say that and seeing that she didn't exude any murderous intent, the man breathed a sigh of relief: "Oh, thank you then."
Chu Yu quickly introduced herself: "I'm a deliveryman from the Underworld Delivery Team. I'm here to deliver food. Did you place this order with the Underworld Delivery Team?"
The man thought of something and looked surprised: "Before I passed out, I hadn't eaten for a year and was extremely hungry. I couldn't help but think of spicy strips, a delicious treat. I thought to myself, if only I could eat spicy strips one more time before I die."
Unexpectedly, a virtual interface suddenly appeared before my eyes, displaying the words "Underworld Delivery." It said that if I followed the instructions, I could eat spicy snacks from the human world. I tried it out, thinking it was a hallucination before my death, but to my surprise, someone actually delivered takeout to me!
Chu Yu raised an eyebrow, realizing that's how it is.
However, what this person wanted to eat most before he died was spicy strips, which was unexpected.
Chu Yu composed herself and explained to him, "The food delivery business in the Demon Realm has just started, and this is your first order."
The man understood: "Oh, I see. Did you bring spicy strips?"
Chu Yu nodded and handed him a takeout bag: "I didn't know what flavor of spicy strips you liked, so I bought you three flavors. See which one you like?"
