Sister Bai was constantly depleting the zombie's power. Finally, when the zombie moved onto a Soul-Splitting Talisman again, before it could even let out a roar, Sister Bai's Soul-Suppressing Talisman was once again stuck to its forehead!
The zombie was instantly paralyzed, its body struggling desperately. Sister Bai knew it would only take a second or two for the zombie to break free of the talisman's control, but a second or two was more than enough for her!
With a "whoosh," the purple-gold peach wood sword in his hand finally pierced the zombie's forehead.
"roar!"
The zombie began to roar violently, but with the purple-gold peach wood sword stuck in its head, it had no way to escape.
Sister Bai didn't rush to draw her sword; she had to wait until the zombie turned into blood. Seeing the zombie's body slowly dissolving, Sister Bai finally relaxed.
After letting out a deep breath, Sister Bai turned to look at Xiao Zhen. Xiao Zhen smiled sweetly at Sister Bai and said, "Brother Bai, you're amazing!"
Bai Jie felt warm inside after being praised by Xiao Zhen. Qian Xiaohao then walked over and said, "I really didn't expect you to have such amazing abilities!"
Sister Bai smiled and shook her head, saying, "I wouldn't call them really that good. By the way, how are you two doing?"
Chin Siu-ho thought they were talking about him and Anita Mui, so he smiled and nodded, saying, "We're both doing well."
As she spoke, she glanced at Aunt Mei, who hadn't uttered a single word. Aunt Mei's eyes seemed to be staring blankly ahead. Sister Bai felt it was time for Qian Xiaohao to get to know Xiao Zhen, so she said to Xiao Zhen, "Xiao Zhen, show your true form. Now that Xiaohao has even seen zombies, he probably won't be afraid of you."
"Okay, Brother Bai!" Xiao Zhen giggled, and then her body immediately appeared in front of Qian Xiaohao.
Qian Xiaohao's gaze immediately fixed on the adorable and well-behaved Xiao Zhen, and the panic he had just suppressed resurfaced. However, he was a quick-witted person and soon regained his composure, asking, "Your name is Xiao Zhen? Are you human or...?"
At this moment, Sister Bai's live stream wasn't pointed at this side, so no one saw this scene. Xiao Zhen no longer cared about people calling her a claw, so she naturally said, "Me? Of course I'm human, but that was ten years ago!"
Although Qian Xiaohao had already guessed it, he still couldn't help but feel a sharp shock. Sister Bai immediately patted his shoulder, and he snapped out of his daze, awkwardly smiling and saying hello!
Xiao Zhen nodded emphatically, then asked Sister Bai, "Brother Bai, you've gotten rid of this stinky zombie. Can we leave now?"
Before Sister Bai could say anything, Aunt Mei suddenly grabbed Sister Bai's arm and said, "You can't leave, there's still... there's still the claw!"
Chapter 38 Raising Little Claws! (6th update!)
Mei Gu's words made Qian Xiaohao and Xiao Zhen's eyes widen immediately, while only Bai Jie remained relatively calm.
"Aunt Mei, are you talking about upstairs?" Sister Bai asked with a smile, pointing upstairs. Aunt Mei's face was filled with fear, as if she was immersed in that fear all day long.
"Yes, he's up there, right up there!" Aunt Mei nodded repeatedly. Sister Bai hummed in agreement and pulled Aunt Mei behind her, saying, "Aunt Mei, don't worry, I'll help you."
After Sister Bai finished speaking, she looked at Qian Xiaohao, as if asking him if he wanted to go up. Qian Xiaohao really didn't want to go up, but for some reason he couldn't suppress the impulse in his heart.
“Okay, I’ll go upstairs with you.” Qian Xiaohao nodded, and Sister Bai pulled Xiao Zhen along, and the group went upstairs together.
Just then, a figure suddenly rushed out from behind Sister Bai and the others, blocking their way.
Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be the same old man I had encountered before! However, this old man was completely different from before. He no longer looked drowsy and frail; instead, he was agile and his eyes were full of spirit.
"You've truly exceeded my expectations, young man. You even managed to eliminate that nearly two-hundred-year-old zombie. But if you can avoid going upstairs, please take my advice and go back. It's not easy for someone so young to have such crime-solving skills. Don't lose your life because of impulsiveness!"
The old man's expression was serious; he wasn't joking. Sister Bai, of course, knew the dangers lurking above. A master who could control zombies for nearly two hundred years was far more difficult to deal with than Claw!
However, Sister Bai has never been one to back down. Now that she has discovered it, she has to go and meet her!
"Sir, you seem to know this place very well, and it's not a place for ordinary people to live in. The yin energy alone can drive people crazy, but you're not only not crazy, but you're also very skilled. Are we in the same trade?" Sister Bai asked, squinting her eyes.
After giving Sister Bai a deep look, the old man said, "Since you've already figured it out, you should trust me even more. Let's go. That person upstairs is no ordinary person! And getting rid of him will put you in a lot of trouble!"
"Why?" Sister Bai asked curiously. The old man didn't answer but instead asked, "Do you know about the National Celestial Masters Association?"
Sister Bai's eyes widened suddenly. The Celestial Masters Association? Of course he knew about it, but what did this have to do with the Celestial Masters Association? In order to hear more about the Celestial Masters Association, Sister Bai pretended not to know and shook her head.
The old man sighed and said, "The one up there is a member of the association. The Celestial Master realm is no longer what it used to be, and we can only be called the last Celestial Masters! Celestial Masters are scarce, but the Claw Souls still run rampant. In order to eradicate those evil spirits, the country has organized most of the people and given them power. So if you oppose someone in the Celestial Master Association, you may attract the wrath of everyone!"
