Chapter 559

"No, no, no..." Lan Xi still felt a little uneasy after receiving Lin Yue's text message in the afternoon, wondering if she had been too cold when she told him that she was about to leave.

She didn't want to damage their relationship, after all, they were good friends who had been through thick and thin together. So she came to the poetry club to find him during evening study. "We agreed to go shopping together."

"So you're really just going to leave a text message and stand him up? When he gets back, I'll give him a good kick for you," Sister Sang promised.

“Actually, you don’t need to worry about this too much…” Uncle Bin sat back in his old chair, took a sip of hot tea, and took off his glasses. “He’s not the narrow-minded person you think he is. He probably just suddenly had something to do and left.”

"When I heard you were about to leave, I was really reluctant to see you go! But I didn't know how to joke around like he did to ease my emotions, so I didn't say much. Honestly, you don't even know that," Lan Xi complained, taking several sips of hot tea.

"Haha, all good things must come to an end," Uncle Bin laughed. "He really doesn't understand women very well. Want me to tell you about his ex-girlfriend?"

"Uncle Bin..." After taking off her face mask, Sister Sang went to the sink to wash her hands and said, "You're telling Lin Yue's future girlfriend about his ex-girlfriend. Aren't you deliberately trying to mess with him?"

"What the heck is 'future girlfriend'..." Lan Xi pointed at herself and blushed as she retorted, "And what's the deal with his ex-girlfriend?"

Then Uncle Bin and Sister Sang kept chuckling to themselves.

Uncle Bin glanced at the wall clock. "It's almost 10:30. It's getting late. You can look for him on Monday. Or you can come visit tomorrow, preferably in the afternoon. He usually doesn't wake up that early, and he doesn't look presentable when he wakes up at noon."

"All right."

Uncle Bin saw Lan Xi to the door: "If you're interested in his ex-girlfriend, you can come and ask me anytime, as long as he's not here!"

"this……"

"Haha, stop fooling around, be careful on the road."

After seeing Lan Xi off, Uncle Bin let out a long sigh of relief.

Sister Sang was getting ready to wash up and go to bed. While dozing off, she told Uncle Bin, "I'm going to sleep before Lin Yue comes back. Remember not to lock the door."

"Sleeping? What are you sleeping for..." Uncle Bin reprimanded his companion in an unusually serious tone, and quickly put on the coat hanging on the wall, ready to go out in the middle of the night. "Go find Lin Yue!"

"What's wrong?" Sister Sang asked, looking surprised.

"This is too strange." Uncle Bin muttered to himself as he entered the room, took out his black box full of props, and continued to mutter to himself as he left the room, "This is too strange."

He then explained, "Given his personality, he wouldn't break a promise so easily. Even in today's situation, it's likely he encountered a demon. He would have told me immediately after slaying the demon, whether by text or phone. The fact that he hasn't contacted me yet means the problem hasn't been resolved... This is troublesome!"

"Now that you mention it, I'm starting to feel uneasy too. His abilities are no joke; he must have encountered some really tough situation! Why didn't he tell us beforehand?"

"It might be too urgent, or they suddenly discovered something terrible and didn't have time to notify anyone? Never mind, hurry up!"

Uncle Bin waited anxiously for Sang to change into her new clothes. Five minutes later, she set off lightly dressed, carrying a few bottles of emergency alchemical potions with her.

The two went out that night. Based on Lan Xi's previous description, Lin Yue must have gone to the classroom to retrieve the hat he had left behind.

So the two went to the classroom to look for clues. The classroom door was locked late at night, and Sister Sang sprinkled some strange potion that melted the door.

The classroom door, which was originally very safe and blocked the way, instantly turned into a shapeless lump of mud.

"Isn't this going a bit too far...?"

"What are you afraid of? It will return to its original shape in a moment. You, on the other hand, hurry up and go in to look for clues."

Uncle Bin located Lin Yue's position based on his memory, rummaged through the drawer, and found that the hat had been taken. "He came here and took the hat, which means something happened after he left the classroom... No, there were no signs of a fight in the classroom or nearby, which means nothing unusual happened here."

"Was he ambushed?"

“He was more cautious than either of us. Maybe he remembered something and suddenly ran off.”

Sang Huanxin looked around the dark classroom. "Did he see some hidden demon here and go out to chase after it?"

“I don’t think so…” Uncle Bin took out a compass-like object from the black box.

That can temporarily replace Shan Shan's keen sense of smell to determine the presence of demonic energy.

He then concluded, "There is absolutely no trace of demonic energy here, not even a trace."

"Perhaps he bumped into something when he went out with his hat?"

"That's impossible. I checked the surrounding area when I came here, and there was nothing there."

"What did he see here that made him change his mind and suddenly disappear?"

“Yes.” Uncle Bin kept pacing back and forth in the narrow passage between the desks.

"Nothing happened here, it's normal..." But I still can't figure it out. My mind is stuck.

"Uncle Bin..." Although Sister Sang couldn't help much with the reasoning, she could only advise him to calm down.

"Why don't you try thinking like Lin Yue?"

"Okay, I'll try my best. That guy's mind works very fast, I might not be able to get into it." Uncle Bin closed his eyes.

Everything has a cause. Therefore, this sudden disappearance must also have a cause.
