Chapter 562

After receiving the signal from Thin Blade, Red Blade became even more confident in its judgment.

Everything he said earlier was absolutely true.

“Your provocation tactics are rather clumsy.” Philsa’s anger was not outwardly expressed, but his demonic aura grew even colder.

He raised his sword again and approached step by step, saying, "Shut up." With that, he launched a fierce attack, his speed increasing significantly, and every strike aimed at vital points.

It's hard to imagine that a blind swordsman could have such accuracy, forcing his opponent to temporarily halt their attack. Red Blade then switched from offense to defense, waiting for the enemy to reveal an opening.

"He really is no different from a monster when he goes crazy," Red Blade thought to himself, only uttering a single word: "monster."

He raised his weapon to block the enemy's leaping sword strike aimed at his front; the two swords clashed with a low thud. Immediately afterward, Red Blade heard the approaching sound of galloping hooves.

Xu Ren rushed to support his colleague and found Hong Ren fighting with Fei Er Sa, while his horse was already kneeling beside him. Xu Ren jumped off his horse and drew the two short swords from his waist.

"Boss, you look really bad."

"You've come at the perfect time..."

The enemy had become two people, and judging from the demonic aura, the newcomers seemed quite powerful. This made Philsa more vigilant; he couldn't afford to be careless.

Furthermore, the new enemy's demonic aura is extremely cold, not the cold of ice, but the coldness of a venomous snake.

He deduced that the new enemy was likely an assassin, cunning and ruthless. Therefore, Philsa had to be extra vigilant against any possible sneak attack.

Xu Ren stared intently at the real Philsa, noticing a similarity between her demonic aura and his own. He suddenly felt as if he had encountered his nemesis.

“You’ve come at the right time…” Red Blade greeted his colleagues at that moment, “We can retreat now.”

Xu Ren was concentrating, preparing to make his move, when he received the order to retreat and looked at Hong Ren with a puzzled expression.

“Our target is the Wind Vortex Stone. Dealing with him is a matter for later. Didn’t you see? Thin Blade’s plan seems to have already begun. Next, we just need to wait for Yoghakberi to obediently come and hand over the Wind Vortex Stone.”

Xu Ren understood what he meant. "So Bo Ren has his own plans too. It doesn't take much effort, but it's really annoying."

He then sheathed his weapon with slight displeasure, but his sharp gaze immediately returned to the Filipino enemy.

Fearing a trap, Philsa gripped his sword tightly, remaining highly vigilant, while also vaguely sensing something amiss.

In a two-on-one situation, Midnight Slayer's side clearly had the upper hand.

But they willingly gave up, completely unaware of what was happening.

"Let's go back. Give me a ride." Red Blade completely gave up the fight and sheathed his greatsword.

After saying that, he walked towards the horse that had been re-struck.

Xu Ren glanced back at Philsa once more.

“I will slit your throat with my own hands. My blade thirsts for your blood.”

5. The cave was empty. Without needing to shout, Philsa used his magical senses to search his surroundings but couldn't detect any trace of his companions. He began to panic.

Soon, morning dew began to gather on the branches and leaves outside the cave. Firsa smelled the fresh scent of the dew, but he could not feel comfortable, for dawn was approaching.

As instructed by Yug, if everyone had not arrived by a quarter of an hour before dawn, they had to leave the cave and head to the next meeting point.

Just 15 minutes felt like an unbearable, sleepless night.

Time ticked by, and even after the appointed time had passed, the two still hadn't shown up.

He decided to go back to Shiduwominbeile to look for their whereabouts.

Either something had happened to the two of them, or as Red Blade had said. He retraced his steps back to the capital, constantly radiating tentacle-like magical perception to try and detect any movement in his surroundings.

After walking for an unknown amount of time, finally, their magical senses detected a familiar aura. Despite the distance, they were certain it belonged to their companions.

It was Jellal Snow. Her breathing was weak and slow, as if she were unconscious from her injuries. She was not far to the right. But so far, Yog's presence was not detected.

Philsa was shocked to find that Jelu was lying injured on the ground;

As for Yog and Wind Vortex Stone, they both vanished without a trace.
