Chapter 566

(Final? The Fury of the Vortex)

1. Red Blade led a group of mercenaries into Amethyst Town, the sound of hooves echoing all around, shattering the usual tranquility.

They headed straight for the Amethyst Tavern, which had been destroyed and reduced to ruins.

He dismounted with a red blade, his face solemn as he gazed at the ruins.

After witnessing Xu Ren's corpse, Hong Ren remained silent, his expression frozen as if carved by a knife.

People can appear unusually calm when they are at their angrier.

He buried his companion in the ruins and planned to buy the land where the tavern had been built to build a shrine and place a tombstone.

Whether the residents of Amethyst Town like it or not, he has made this decision. The residents either agree or face certain death.

The eldest brother performed a simple prayer, without any flower-scattering or similar rituals. This was a common practice of the Midnight Executioner.

The meritorious deeds of Xu Ren in presenting the Midnight Slayer are self-evident, and the wounds on his arms are conclusive proof of his honor.

The only offering worthy of such a member is the blood of an enemy.

Red Blade muttered to himself, "One of our companions has already left."

The surrounding mercenaries dared not utter a sound. They had never seen their leader so serious, nor had they ever seen one of these three important figures lose his life and meet such a tragic end.

"Bo Ren went to assassinate the girl next to him and hasn't come back yet. Now it's just you with me."

The mercenaries discovered that their leader was talking to his sword.

No one was surprised, just found it a bit eerie.

Red Blade treats his crimson greatsword like his lover, a fact known to all Midnight Slayers, yet none can truly understand.

He heard an ominous wind.

Red Blade's eyes suddenly turned fierce and sharp as he stared into the distance, shouting, "The enemy is coming! Why didn't those bastards guarding the hut take him down? Are they all useless?"

He then noticed an extremely strong aura of ice magic rapidly approaching.

The archers took their stances, and the swordsmen were ready to strike.

A streak of light streaked across the street as everyone watched, dodging the rain of arrows with lightning speed.

Red Blade shouted, halting his firing. Aurora also paused in mid-air, revealing his true form, Philsa. He wielded an ice-cold longsword, pointing it directly at the leader of the Midnight Slayers. His eyes were concealed by an eyepatch, and he turned his face away, displaying a look of disdain.

Red Blade drew his greatsword and roared in fury, "I've been looking for you! I don't care about the Wind Vortex Stone or the bounty! Today I'll take your life to atone for my companions!"

Philsa sensed the bloody demonic energy erupting from the ground, even reaching into the air.

In the past, Red Blade always referred to his companions as "colleagues," a term he only changed now. Although he sometimes used the word "companion" in the past, it was mostly in a derogatory sense.

Philsa always felt that the people who were Midnight Slayers were all very talkative.

The so-called betrayal, the so-called suspicion, and the so-called provocation and instigation;

This time it was Philsa's turn to retaliate: "You kept saying you didn't trust your comrades, but in the end you were shouting that you wanted to avenge them. I bet you even consider your sword a comrade."

"You must be tired of living!" Red Blade swung his greatsword, stirring the air and spreading a bloody aura in all directions.

The mercenaries present all paled; even lifting the crimson greatsword was tantamount to touching their boss's sore spot.

Red Blade shouted at his brothers, "Don't you dare make a move! Just watch! This head in front of us, 'Blood Love' and I are going to take it!"

Felsa unleashed his magic once more. It was extremely rare for him to unleash his power a second time before the war even began.

The ice sword in his hand was imbued with the magic of extreme ice, shining brightly even in the daytime. "Didn't you say that companions will betray you? That is to say, one day your sword will betray you too. That's what you believe."

No one else in the world would dare to provoke the Red Blade twice.

"You actually said that 'Blood Love' would betray me?"

With a furious roar, Crimson Blade charged into the air, engaging in fierce combat with Philsa. Crimson and white light clashed, while the demonic aura of blood and ice swept back and forth.

Felsa moved with the agility of a swallow, leaving a trail of white light as he teleported.

But the red blade attacked fiercely like an eagle, relentlessly pursuing its target. For a moment, the red light almost covered the entire sky, while the white light could only barely survive.

Felsa temporarily abandoned the aerial combat and landed first. He quickly drew his second ice sword and knelt down in a defensive stance with his two swords crossed to block the heavy blow from the giant sword above his head.

Crimson Blade's fury erupted in the form of a blood mist, obscuring everyone's vision. Although the battle was now completely obscured, the clash of swords never ceased, never stopping for a moment;

Even the crisscrossing sword light gradually cut through the blood mist, making it clear to everyone that the battle was still going strong – the red blade was still suppressing Philsa.

Previously, no one could believe that the blind Felsa of the Extreme Ice possessed superb swordsmanship, comparable to any famous hero, and some even thought it was just an exaggerated rumor.

Only after witnessing his demeanor firsthand did I begin to believe it.

If the enemy fighting against Red Blade were any other prey, they would have long been turned into minced meat under the chaotic swords and fed to "Blood Love".

However, the blind Philsa was able to repeatedly block or dodge the trajectory of the demonic red sword without suffering serious injury.

Even so, Philsa did not gain the upper hand at all, and if this continued, it was only a matter of time before he was cut in two by the giant sword.

Red Blade swung the greatsword wildly as if it were effortless, his rage driving his body to break through its limits like a powerful stimulant.

He was determined to take the enemy's head, his eyes blazing with fury.
