"My name is Edmund."
“I understand. I’ll pack my bags and leave with my companions soon. Until we meet again.”
After saying goodbye, Philsa had a vague recollection of the name, wondering where she had heard it before...
However, it probably wasn't the name of someone he knew. He decided to put these trivial matters aside for now, focusing solely on returning to the hotel to meet Shirley and hoping to set off immediately.
When he returned to the bedroom, he found his companion sitting or lying on the bed, asleep without even taking off his coat or covering himself with a blanket.
She hasn't had a proper rest these past few days because she's been taking care of herself.
Shirley didn't wake up until dusk. She rubbed her eyes and found herself warm; someone had tucked her in while she slept. Philsa wasn't in the bedroom at that moment.
She slept soundly and even had a dream.
She dreamt that she and Philsa attended Lampard and Olina's wedding, a grand affair, and that the entire Silverwing and Obsidian crew were present at the wedding banquet.
Captain Fant also took time to come and offer his congratulations. Marquis Alex also met with Philsa again and continued their discussion about the history of the Duchy of Valentino.
One scene in my dream was quite vivid—the groom and bride at their wedding were kissing passionately and exchanging rings.
As she thought about it, Shirley felt a lump in her throat and couldn't help but sob softly.
If only this were the truth...
At that moment, Firsa carried a plate of food into the bedroom and happened to run into her companion who was crying.
She quickly wiped away her tears with the corner of her clothes, and as soon as she smelled the delicious food, her stomach growled. The return of her companions calmed Shirley down.
Seeing this, Philsa suppressed a laugh and placed the two steaming hot meals on the bedside table.
Shirley's eyes lit up—it was her favorite tomato meat sauce noodles, served with a side of vegetable salad, and a glass of sweet milk that instantly energized her. It was a simple yet delicious dinner!
It's such a pleasant surprise to find a chef in this small village who knows how to cook urban staples!
The dinner brought by her companion allowed the girl to temporarily forget the heartache of losing her friend.
Philsa would never tell her that an hour earlier, when he went downstairs, he happened to see the hotel chefs staring blankly at a pile of new ingredients; all they knew how to make was fried noodles and toast.
So, after getting permission, Philsa cooked for himself. He smiled confidently, realizing that after all this time, she still didn't know he possessed a life skill that even women envied.
Shirley looked at her companion's face. Although his injuries had healed somewhat, his complexion was still rather pale. He was smiling.
"Who is the real patient here?" she muttered to herself, slightly annoyed.
"When people get hungry, everyone's the same, right?"
She knew that despite his joking demeanor, he was still hurting and lost inside. She picked up her fork.
Gently biting each strand of noodle with your teeth, the taste is absolutely superb, the texture is excellent, the meat sauce is sweet and sour, and the noodles are refreshing. It's flawless in every aspect.
As she savored the moment, she heard her companion whisper beside her, "Let's leave here first thing tomorrow morning and head to the Magic and Martial Arts Academy in the far north to reforge the Holy Sword. Then, we'll avenge them."
Both of them knew that the journey was very long and the places they were about to cross were quite treacherous.
However, today Philsa learned from the Knights' Guild that there are two routes to the Magic and Martial Arts Academy in the far north.
The first option is to return to West Harbor and take the regular magic cruise ship. However, the most recent scheduled ship has already departed, and the next one won't be available for another two weeks, so this method will take a considerable amount of time.
The other route is to start directly from here and walk north to your destination.
If you're walking, there are two routes, and the terrain can be roughly divided into two categories: one is grassland to snowfield terrain, which is relatively safe.
One option is a route from the waterfall to the glacier, which is extremely steep, but allows you to reach your destination sooner.
Firsa is currently injured and should not risk crossing the waterfall and glacier.
Because the dangers in these two natural environments are the most unpredictable.
After the meal, the two discussed it in detail and decided to walk across the grasslands and snowfields to reach their destination in the safest and most reliable way.
"Don't worry, I will be with you, across the Buriza Snowfield, to reach the academy!" Shirley gave Philsa a firm answer.
"good."
"Let's make this clear first, don't do that again! You risked your own life to save others in dangerous situations! You made me so worried last time!"
Last time, Philsa sent Sherry away through a magic teleportation point, leaving him to fight the enemy alone.
"I'm sorry... that was all I was thinking at the time..."
"Now I have my own emblem, and I will no longer be a burden to you. So please trust me and entrust your back to me."
"Crest..."
When Philsa heard Shirley mention the emblem, her heart was not at ease; instead, a sense of unease swept over her.
Priscilla left Elfons after the awakening of the Divine Wind Crest, and she herself became a completely different person.
“Sherry…” After a moment of silence, Philsa mustered her courage and said to her companion, “There’s something I want to confirm.”
"What? Why are you suddenly so serious..."
"Could I see your crest?"
Sherry was startled. "Huh!? What are you saying...?"
"how?"
She shyly pointed to the area slightly above her right breast, then looked away, avoiding eye contact with the other person.
