"Gods 'bestow' certain magical powers upon humanity, yet demand that they pay with their lives. Is that still a blessing? Gods even make believers kneel down to pray. Isn't that going too far?" He muttered to himself, his tone full of contempt for the gods.
At that moment, Shirley ignored her companion's inexplicable complaints.
The two people at the round table were still arguing.
The Demon Lord spoke in a tone more like an elder, as if sternly reprimanding a junior who had gone astray.
The Demon Lord seemed to know Philsa and was very familiar with his past, even more so than Sherry. However, Philsa had no recollection of the Demon Lord.
"Humans are burdened by the seven deadly sins, inherently extreme, selfish, and warlike, and will inevitably bring about their destruction. Philsa Danlitaire, since you have betrayed the demon race, then—"
The Demon Lord Fred made the final decision.
"Wait! Who are you? How do you know so much about me?"
The Demon Lord refused to answer, but coldly ordered his subordinates, "Fan, this traitor is no longer of any value. Kill him."
Philsa had many questions he didn't have time to ask—how did he know his mother's name?
How did he know what happened back then? Who exactly is he?
However, at this moment, the raging demonic energy that had been accumulating in the hall for a long time caused a violent explosion, comparable to a ton of explosives.
The dome of the main hall of the Eagle Palace was completely blown off, revealing a dark night sky. Inside and out, everything was in ruins, a truly horrific sight.
The most intact building in the ruins of the Fierce Eagle—the Fierce Eagle Hall—collapsed at this moment at the hands of the demon generals of the Six Sages.
The firelight flickered. Van unleashed his resentment toward Alphonse, regardless of the historical or cultural value of the palace, destroying and venting it on the ruins.
"Truly worthy of being called the 'Infernal Asura' by the demonic legions. From this moment on, I have only one mission for you—to annihilate the two people you encountered today!"
The Demon Lord floated in mid-air, his cloak billowing violently behind him, his mask reflecting the firelight. After issuing the command to his subordinates, his figure transformed into a swarm of eerie blue particles, gradually disappearing like an image. Teleportation magic allowed the Demon Lord to leave the ruins.
Fan Fu nodded as if to be, but muttered to himself, "Even if the Demon Lord wants to bring Elfons back into the Demon Clan today, it will not change my hatred for him, nor my plan to kill him!"
Fan stepped onto the highest point of the pile of pebbles, searching for enemies as if hunting prey.
He became alert in an instant.
Before Philsa's attack could even materialize, a powerful aura of magic swept over you.
The ground, covered with bricks, tiles, and gravel, was cracked with two huge fissures.
The red and blue magical energy that spewed out from the two cracks merged together to form an elemental dragon that intertwined and became one, emitting a dazzling red and blue light. It soared into the night sky and then swooped down to bite the enemy.
Fan slammed a heavy punch into the uneven ground.
In an instant, all the lying gravel and bricks were shaken and jumped up dramatically.
In the next instant, a red light shone within a five-meter radius, which was more intense and pure than the red light of the ice and fire elemental dragon in front of them;
In the next instant, eight thick pillars of fire dragons swept up anything that could float in the air and melted it into heat.
Finally, the pillar of fire shifted to meet Philsa's dragon-shaped ultimate attack unleashed with his Ice Flame Sword.
The pillar of fire crushed the elemental dragon into scattered, free-floating ice elemental particles;
As for the remaining fire element particles, they were absorbed by Van's attack.
With the move broken, an agile figure finally appeared.
Felsa was dressed in black and was further concealed by the "Wind Aura" spell cast by his companions, which kept him hidden in the night.
The magic "Wind Breath Aura" uses the principle of light refraction to make his physical body "invisible";
This tactic is even more effective in the already dim light of night.
The speed at which the pillar of fire moved was simply incomparable to his jumping and dodging speed.
In a short while, the pillar of fire receded from his back, and Philsa cleared the obstacle. The Ice Flame Sword, Franzan, transformed into two seemingly illusory yet real red and blue phantoms, held in his hands. He quickly approached Van.
A fiery fist met a sword blade. The two arch-rivals faced off once more.
With the help of his companion's "Wind Aura," Felsa drifted like the wind. Having suffered a defeat before, he now saw through all of his enemy's fighting techniques, and with the power of the wind, he now held a slight advantage in the battle.
The icy blade, arriving in an instant, pointed at the enemy's exposed neck, thirsting for blood. Van tilted his head, the chilling sword whistling past his right ear, severing only a few strands of hair.
He dodged the sharp slash. But the blade tip still grazed his cheek, drawing blood from the delicate wound.
At the same time, a sharp pain shot through Fan's lower abdomen.
At some point, Philsa's right hand, gripping the Flame Sword, slashed horizontally at Van.
Although he knew that the flames could not seriously injure Fan, he still used his other hand and another sword to try his best and quickly follow up with a strike after his ice sword with his left hand missed.
The two distanced themselves from each other, glaring at each other with hostility.
Unlike last time, Philsa was still unharmed, but for some reason, his magic power was being consumed at an accelerated rate.
From the start of the fierce battle, my magic began to circulate and dissipate at an accelerated pace. Was it due to emotional reasons, or perhaps a hidden illness within my body?
Van took a blow to the abdomen, and his jacket was torn open by the blade, leaving a long, diagonal rip, but otherwise he was unharmed.
