Chapter 586

Clearly, these are letters that circulated only within the Valentino royal family.

Priscilla manipulated the wind, took the letter, and presented it to her. The moment she touched it, a strange sense of foreboding welled up inside her.

Could this be a letter related to my father's death...?

Priscilla pulled the secret letter from the envelope and scanned it under the returning moonlight.

This was originally a handwritten letter left by the king before his death to Van Rexor. The letter roughly stated that after careful consideration, he had decided to choose Van Rexor Van Renteno as the successor to the kingdom.

"This is the late king's own handwriting."

The handwriting is undeniable, and the seal, which still radiates a magical glow, is also strong evidence.

The magic seal only takes effect when the person voluntarily infuses it with magic, and is the most effective proof of royal status.

However, there was one more point that Priscilla still wanted to verify...

She noticed her father's signature in the lower left corner of the letter, which was deliberately written very large, with strong and upright strokes, each curve and vertical line exuding a robust and vigorous quality. However, Priscilla did not intend to verify the style of her father's signature.

When she discovered the secret in the signature, she couldn't help but feel sad and began to sob. The night elf watching from the side was completely bewildered.

She folded the part of the paper with her signature using specific strokes, and then her father's signature was "restored" into a mark.

"Father..."

Priscilla has kept a secret with her father since childhood, a promise between them: if her father's signature is folded along certain strokes, it will reveal the shape of Priscilla's divine wind crest.

This signature cannot be forged, and its techniques cannot be imitated.

Because nobody actually knows what Priscilla's emblem looks like.

This was designed by Priscilla herself. As long as it is signed on a foldable piece of paper, the father's name can be restored to the crest of the divine wind.

Therefore, this secret was known only to the father and daughter.

Although the night elf couldn't figure out how Priscilla had verified the letter, it seemed she was convinced it was genuine.

"This is conclusive evidence of everything Alphonse did."

Priscilla wiped away her tears with her sleeve, pondering the night elf's hints, and easily deduced her father's death—

The letter explained that the king was struggling to choose between two outstanding talents, Alphonse and Vanrexor.

This secret letter declared Van Rexor as the heir to the kingdom, therefore Van could not possibly harbor any murderous intent toward his father.

Priscilla considered the possibility of being coerced, but then dismissed the ridiculous idea.

My father is not a coward who submits to any wicked man.

It could also be other powerful figures in the royal court who are secretly plotting a coup.

However, most of them had already been under the tight control of their father and Van Rexor several years ago.

The only suspicious person left is Alphonse…

"The answer is already clear, Princess. Only the weak would resort to the tricks of villains."

Priscilla held her head in her hands, unwilling to listen any further.

It's hard to imagine...

Why is this happening...? Is it really you...? Why is this happening...? That's my beloved father...

I don't want to think about it anymore...

It's impossible not to suspect...you've changed...I'm so disappointed in you...

Is there anything that can dispel this feeling of confusion?

Priscilla crossed her arms and asked herself a question from the bottom of her heart, her fingers unconsciously touching the glowing emblem on her right breast.

The storm raged, howling uncontrollably. The surrounding logs swayed precariously.

From that moment on, the Divine Wind Crest seemed to gain life, becoming strangely vibrant. Within its center, a cross the size of a thumb, emanated a radiant magical energy, and emerald-colored patterns grew and extended like branches, even climbing onto its master's shoulder.

The veil could not conceal the movement of the luminous emblem, which was reflected in the light, allowing the night elves to witness firsthand the moment when the divine wind emblem truly awakened.

Priscilla let go of all burdens, immersing herself in the awakened divine wind power. Moments later, she awoke again. Opening her eyes, her green pupils remained unchanged, resolute and unwavering.

Seeing this, the night elf was secretly delighted, "It seems the princess has agreed to return with me to submit to her master!"

Priscilla the Divine Wind raised the corners of her mouth.

The next moment, however, was something the night elves never expected.

Priscilla manipulated the raging winds, condensing them into several invisible giant hands that overlapped and gripped the night elf's throat, even lifting him into the air.

He struggled violently, kicking his legs, unable to breathe or beg for mercy. Every inch of the demonic veins within his body was being constricted, every cell suffocated.

In just a few seconds, the night elf's magic was completely drained. The giant hand of wind not only drained his life force but also his magic.

Just as he was about to breathe his last, the invisible giant hand suddenly vanished as if shattered. The moment the precious air rushed into his throat, the night elf fell to the ground, unable to get up, his chest hitting the ground as he coughed violently.

"This time, I'll let you off the hook because you're Fan's subordinate. But if you're this rude again, I'll crush you to pieces!"

As she spoke, she exhaled demonic energy, violently vibrating the air. The night elves were terrified of the awakened princess before them and dared not look her in the eye.

Priscilla put her jewelry back on and contentedly smoothed her long hair behind her head.

“Your Night Elves are too filthy; I will not travel with you. I will return to the capital, Gransis, alone.”
