Chapter 608

Surrounded by emptiness, he could only hear his own footsteps and rapid breathing. He was only a few dozen meters away from the main hall, but it felt like it had taken him half a day. Finally, he reached the hall's entrance, but his anxiety only intensified.

Reaching out, he pushed open the palace door. With a creak, the door swung open wide. Looking up, he saw only darkness inside. Shining his flashlight inside, the Monkey King nearly wet himself in fright. Inside the main hall, a row of ferocious statues stood side by side, like demons from hell, with long fangs protruding from their mouths.

Swallowing hard to calm himself, he carefully examined the area with his flashlight and immediately noticed a set of footprints on the floor of the main hall. Due to the great age of the area, the ground was covered with a thick layer of dust, making the footprints very clear. "Hey, the footprints don't end here?" The Great Sage Equal to Heaven wondered. He shone his flashlight on Blackie's footprints and found that they stopped on the second floor. He looked around and found that the area was also empty. Based on his intuition, he felt that Blackie must have encountered some trouble.

"Blackie, are you here?" the Monkey King called out, trying to keep his voice down.

He called out a few times but received no response. Just as he was about to walk forward, a dark shadow flashed in front of him. Before he could react, he was tackled to the ground, and a large hand covered his mouth.

By the light of his flashlight, the Monkey King recognized "Blackie" at a glance and breathed a sigh of relief, finally having found Blackie.
