Chapter 613

My mind was in turmoil, and I was filled with regret. I wish I hadn't come to rob the tomb. But there's no going back in life. Now I can only pray that Xiang Fei and the others will find this place.

It took me a while to calm down and begin to observe my surroundings. The coffins were arranged according to the principles of Qimen Dunjia, containing the art of Yin and Yang. There was no way to break the spell, and no matter which way you went, you couldn't get out.

I simply opened a coffin, which was also empty.

In my mind, I recalled the records about Qimen Dunjia that I had read in books before, as well as the Yin-Yang techniques that my grandfather had told me.

This kind of Qimen Dunjia combines the arts of Yin and Yang, containing profound mysteries, and is strange and mysterious. However, it has a dead end, which can be simply called the "door." Once you find it, you have found the exit.

I picked up the pebbles on the ground and threw them in four directions, but I didn't find anything unusual. After thinking for a moment, I took out some copper coins and set up the Seven Star Yin-Yang Array to separate Yin and Yang.

Standing in the center of the formation, I took out my compass and began searching for the four directions: southeast, north, south, east, and west... After turning the compass around, I still couldn't find any flaws.

"No, the person who set up this formation is a master of Yin and Yang. I'm not even a fraction of his skill," I thought to myself, shaking my head and sighing. Was I really going to die here?

I'm only in my early twenties, not even married yet, and I'm going to die in this godforsaken place. I'm so unwilling to accept this!

Just then, a small stone hit me. Before I could react, Xiang Fei jumped out, grabbed me without saying a word, and ran out.

Emerging from the unexpected formation, I collapsed to the ground, wiping the sweat from my brow. It was truly a close call; if Xiang Fei hadn't discovered me, my chances of survival would have been slim.

Xiang Fei handed me a cigarette. "You're really fearless, running in so recklessly. If I hadn't found you, you'd be dead for sure."

"Cough cough," he took two deep drags of his cigarette, which made his eyes water.

"By the way, how did you find your way here?" I asked.

Xiang Fei shook his head. "I just stumbled upon this place by accident. It's too eerie and strange. I feel like there's more than one tomb here. There must be several. This place was probably occupied by several Shu tribes. I don't know the specifics yet."

I took a few puffs of my cigarette, told Xiang Fei about my encounter with the black cat, and then handed him the tattered cloth.

Xiang Fei looked grave, as if he had witnessed something strange and terrifying. His face grew increasingly grim, and after a long silence, he slowly said, "I saw Blackie too."

"Wow," I was incredibly shocked. Xiang Fei had actually seen Blackie too.

"Could it be that Blackie is really not dead?"

Xiang Fei shook his head. "I don't know either. Blackie only glanced at me once and then disappeared. Although he seemed no different from a living person, I always felt something was off about him. And how did he get into this tomb? You know we were the ones who blew open the tomb door ourselves, so there shouldn't be another passage in this tomb."

The fog is thick. Blackie, who had been dead for over ten years, has suddenly appeared, and in a bizarre way, he has appeared in this place. Xiang Fei saw him, and Black Cat saw him too. Will I see him too?

"Come to think of it, Blackie is practically my mentor. I wonder if he'll even speak to me when we meet?" I wondered to myself. But then I thought, "What if Blackie is really dead? Then who is this?"

The fact that Blackie wasn't dead and was still in this ancient tomb seemed unbelievable. Xiang Fei and I both felt that this matter couldn't be so simple. Perhaps it was all a setup, an ancient mystery.

"Do you know the real background of Master Hei?" Xiang Fei asked.

I shook my head. I knew nothing about Blackie's true origins. I had only heard my family talk about it. But I was certain that Blackie's family had lived here for generations because I had seen him worship his ancestors. I asked Blackie about it, and he said that this was his family's ancestor, his great-great-grandfather.

“If I’m not mistaken, Hei Ye should be a real Sichuanese, a descendant of the ancient Shu people, and has a great connection with this ancient Shu people’s tomb,” Xiang Fei said, throwing away his cigarette butt and standing up to look at the tomb in front of him. “This should be the tomb of one of the Shu kings, but there is a powerful master who has set up a magic array. If we rush in, we will only die. Let’s wait and see.”

I nodded in agreement, and Xiang Fei and I turned off our headlamps and hid in the darkness. After a while, suddenly, a howling, eerie wind swept through the deathly silent tomb.

Twenty-Four Dragon Veins Horror

A series of mournful cries, mixed with intermittent ones, made my heart tighten immediately. Could it be that the vengeful ghost in red has come looking for me?

In the darkness, a figure appeared. It didn't seem to be the red-clothed ghost from before, but rather a real person. There were even footsteps, and it was walking towards us.

Xiang Fei and I held our breath and watched the figure intently. To our astonishment, he entered the tomb and, seemingly unaffected by the Qimen Dunjia divination method, walked to the coffins.

The dark figure opened the coffin, but seemed to be searching for something. He only glanced at it twice before putting it back. He walked back and forth in the tomb, finally stopping in front of the coffin with the outer coffin above, and stared at it for a long time.

Just as he was about to open the coffin, a sudden gust of cold wind swept through the tomb, and a troop of ghostly soldiers appeared, surrounding the mysterious figure.

Xiang Fei and I were secretly alarmed. These ghostly soldiers were indeed like the guardians of the tomb. We just didn't know how they would deal with that mysterious figure.

We waited with bated breath, but to our surprise, this mysterious figure seemed completely unafraid of the ghost soldiers, or perhaps the ghost soldiers couldn't harm him at all. He ignored the ghost soldiers around him and opened the coffin as usual. He just glanced inside, and then, as if he had discovered something, he quickly closed the coffin and left.
