Xiang Fei and the others agreed, so we started to take action. Breaking this ancient method is not so simple; it requires the concerted efforts of several of us.
The key to breaking the Yin-Yang Blood Pool lies in breaking the Yin-Yang fish within the pool, but we are not entirely confident in our ability to do so.
Enveloped in malevolent energy, this place was like hell, where wronged souls struggled and roared in the blood pool.
Once everything was ready, we nodded to each other. "Let's begin!" Xiang Fei said.
First, we set up a Yin-Yang formation together, and then we sat inside and began to use Taoist magic to suppress the wronged spirits inside, otherwise they might accidentally turn against us.
Dao Luo Qian Kun, these wronged souls should have gone to the Netherworld by now. Xiang Fei began to perform the ritual, while I chanted the Ghost Crossing Incantation. After about half an hour, the wronged souls in the Blood River began to quiet down, and we could begin to break the Yin-Yang Fish.
This Yin-Yang Blood Pool uses Yin and Yang to transform into the two energies of life and death to nourish oneself. Xiang Fei and I joined forces and unleashed various Taoist techniques, which landed on the Yin-Yang fish.
Instantly, the blood churned, and the blood coffins surrounding them began to move, as if the demons inside were about to emerge.
With a loud shout, Xiang Fei jumped up, bit his finger, wrote a Dao incantation on a yellow talisman, and then threw it out. In the air, it turned into a bolt of lightning and struck the center of the Yin-Yang symbol.
The blood gushed out even more violently, but the stone coffin in the center was still there, and the yin-yang symbol had not been broken.
Finally, Xiang Fei struck three more times, but still couldn't break it. Blood gushed out, and the stone coffin seemed to be nailed to it, remaining completely still.
"Fine, fine, I'll just sacrifice a bit of my essence," Xiang Fei said, spitting out a mouthful of blood essence. The paper talisman flew into the air, and then he made a hand seal, turning the paper talisman into a beam of yellow light and falling into the yin-yang fish.
With a 'crack', the yin-yang symbol began to shatter, and the yellow light traveled through it before finally exploding violently.
The yin-yang symbol shattered, unleashing a torrent of blood that threatened to engulf us. The blood coffin inside sank slightly, but the stone coffin remained afloat, eerie and mysterious.
We stepped back, and just then the stone coffin began to tremble violently, as if something was about to crawl out of it.
We were terrified, our mouths were dry, what could be inside?
With a loud 'bang,' the entire stone coffin trembled even more violently. Finally, the coffin lid was opened, and a pitch-black hand reached out.
Then, with a deafening roar, a 'person' entirely in black stood up and roared like a ferocious beast, "You dare to ruin my great plans, you will all die!" The voice sounded like that of a demon from hell, and then it walked directly out of the river of blood.
Seeing this, we didn't have time to think about anything else and immediately started to run for our lives. This thing was definitely no less powerful than the Corpse King. If we were caught by it, we would be doomed.
A cliff appeared ahead, riddled with caves, from which a dark, malevolent aura surged forth like black mist. There were at least a dozen of them. We climbed up and found a cave to hide in. The monster caught up from behind, but thankfully we all had our Yin-Yang Eyes activated, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to see it at all.
This monster looked like a person who had been burned to a crisp. Its face was so rotten that half of its skull was exposed, but its eyes were blood red, and its big mouth was full of sharp teeth. The evil aura emanating from its body was like black smoke.
Standing at the foot of the cliff, it looked around, clearly searching for us. We dared not be careless at this moment, so we covered our bodies with talismans to isolate ourselves from human presence, otherwise this monster might be able to smell our scent just like the Corpse Demon.
To our horror, the monster nimbly climbed up, its movements so swift they were almost like it was running.
We didn't dare breathe, crawling inside the cave, ready to fight to the death. Fortunately, the monster hadn't found our exact location, but was searching cave by cave. Just when it was about to find our cave, suddenly, the cave the monster had entered emitted a shrill scream that felt like falling into hell. Then the monster roared, and the sounds of fighting filled the air. The loud noise made our ears ring.
We swallowed hard, almost trembling with fear. After a while, the fighting inside finally ended. We cautiously peered out and saw the monster emerge in a very disheveled state. It looked like something had bitten it, and most of its chest had been torn off. It was utterly terrifying.
"What's in that cave? It could have caused this monster such severe damage," was what we were all thinking.
"Ahem," the old blind man's voice rang out, "There's something terrifying in that cave, I wonder if there's anything in this one?"
Hearing what the old blind man said, we were all startled. We then realized that the cave we had entered was the same one the monster had entered. What might be inside?
Just as we were about to leave, a sound suddenly came from inside, like something crawling. We became extremely nervous, and just as we were about to get up, we heard a sinister chuckle.
When we turned on our headlamps, we were almost scared to death. There was a 'person' standing inside the thing, a person who looked like a monster. His body was covered with tentacle-like claws, and his hair was very long. His face was rotting, and his eyes were looking at us with a strange smile.
"This is... the Corpse Demon?" Xiang Fei said with a grim expression.
“Hmm, it should be the Corpse Demon,” the black cat said.
I've heard of the Corpse Demon. It's something that's used to guard tombs. It's said to be created through some kind of evil magic. It's an anomaly among corpses, somewhat similar to a ghost or demon, but it has no mind of its own and will only kill any intruders.
Faintly visible in the deepest part of the cave is a bronze coffin, which glows with a bluish light under the lamplight and is covered with strange runes.
