"Ahem, have you forgotten that you are the reincarnation of Shu Yuan? Shu Yuan was a famous general of ancient Shu. If I'm not mistaken, I think this army was led by him back then. Now they will only leave if they obey your orders."
"Uh...this..." I wiped the cold sweat from my forehead; it was truly unbelievable.
"What are you standing there for? They're listening to your orders, so hurry up and give them!" Xiang Fei urged.
"Ahem, how should I give the order?"
"Hmm? Just do what they do on TV and tell them to go back."
Seventy-nine is the age to become an immortal.
I rubbed my hands together, took a few steps forward, and coughed a few times. "Well, the war is over. Everyone should go home, get married, and take care of their children."
Xiang Fei nearly fell over when he was caught off guard. "Come on, show some backbone. You're a general now, commanding a large army."
"Yes," I nodded.
"Listen up, everyone, the war is over... Go back to what you were doing."
Xiang Fei, who was standing next to him, almost vomited blood. He quickly waved his hand and said, "Let me demonstrate for you."
"The battle is over. All of you, listen to my command and return to your positions," Xiang Fei said, his voice clear and resonant. "Did you hear that? Tell them just like that."
So I followed Xiang Fei's example and shouted it out at the top of my lungs, but to my surprise, they just stood there without any reaction.
At this moment, Xiang Fei suddenly realized, "Wrong, wrong, they can't understand our language at all, we need the language of ancient Shu."
Fortunately, Xiang Fei knew some of the ancient Shu language, so he could say such a sentence. He then taught me, and I repeated it in the ancient Shu language.
Suddenly, the entire army roared and vanished with the sandstorm.
"Think about it, you were leading them back then, but fate had other plans."
I sighed inwardly, looked around, and suddenly exclaimed in surprise, "Look, isn't there a person lying down over there?"
Xiang Fei followed my finger and looked in the direction it pointed, and he was also surprised. "Hey, it really is a person lying down. I understand now, that's the real burial ground for immortals."
Xiang Fei and I were astonished. The entire mountain range looked like a person sleeping. "Hey, what a sleeping immortal's tomb! Perhaps the real immortal's tomb is inside. Let's rob it today."
We thought the Immortal's Tomb would be a large tomb, but when we got there, we found that the so-called 'Immortal's Tomb' was actually made up of dozens of hills of varying sizes, each of which was a tomb. Strangely, none of these tombs had been dug up.
The soil reeked of blood. I squatted down and pinched it with my hand, and found that the soil was still wet, as if it had just been stained with blood.
We tensed up; the place was becoming increasingly unsettling. "Hey, that mound has cracked open."
Xiang Fei and I walked to the top of the Immortal's Tomb and saw that the top mound of earth had cracked open, revealing a corner of a coffin. It was a blood-red coffin, and then blood kept gushing out. Soon the soil on top was washed away, revealing a complete blood coffin.
This should have been a wooden coffin, but because it had been soaked in blood for a long time, it had been stained red. The surrounding area was full of human bones, making it seem as if this grave was buried in a mass grave.
"Get out of here immediately," Xiang Fei said in a deep voice.
Without hesitation, we quickly ran back the way we came. Just as we were about to return to the cliff, we saw a person walking down, or more accurately, a half-human, half-ghost.
His body was covered in blood, half of his face was rotten, as if it had been bitten off by something, and only the upper half of one hand remained. He was walking towards us.
He chuckled sinisterly.
"Do you have a way to deal with this?" I asked Xiang Fei.
"This thing is not easy to deal with. It is both a ghost and a human. It has similarities and differences with Professor Huang. Let's try using the Soul-Suppressing Lamp."
Hearing him say that, I quickly lit the Soul-Suppressing Lamp, but it was no use at all, and the other party still came over.
So we simply lit a fire and threw it over, but this thing was just like a person, not only was it agile, but it also knew how to dodge. We had no choice but to pick up our knives and prepare to fight.
Now he became somewhat hesitant. It seemed the knife could hurt him, and perhaps he was afraid that the body he had finally managed to take would be hacked to pieces. So we remained in a stalemate.
Suddenly, a strong wind blew up again, and sandstorms filled the sky. In an instant, the souls of the dead soldiers rushed out, and thousands of troops and horses galloped up and overwhelmed us. Taking this opportunity, Xiang Fei and I ran away.
I climbed up the cliff, and then I heard a sinister laugh behind me. I turned around and saw that the thing had followed me and was about to catch up.
In a moment of desperation, I grabbed my Tang sword and slashed down, then pulled out a handful of lime from my pocket and threw it at the enemy.
When lime was sprinkled on its body, a cloud of white smoke immediately rose. This lime was no ordinary lime; it contained strong sulfur, just like the bone-dissolving powder in TV dramas. Its body was covered in wounds, and when the lime was sprinkled on it, it immediately began to melt violently.
I screamed miserably and tumbled down. I desperately climbed up, and just as we reached the top, a bloody light shot into the sky from the distant Immortal's Tomb. It seemed that some monster was about to emerge.
We didn't care about anything else; all we wanted was to escape. We ran out through the cave and ended up back at the place of the Heavenly Sacrifice. We went straight into the cave that the Black Cat and the Blind Man had gone into. We didn't know where the cave led, but we had no other choice. We hoped to find them as soon as possible.
After a while, we were too exhausted to run anymore. Our legs were cramping, and we were starving and thirsty. We were running out of water and food, and Xiang Fei's headlamp was almost out of power. If we didn't find a way out soon, our situation would only get worse.
