We were completely baffled and searched the entire palace but could not find Zhuge Liang's tomb.
“That’s impossible. This is definitely his grave, but how come we can’t find where he’s buried?” Xiang Fei asked in confusion.
Finally, we found the Prime Minister's residence in the palace. We pushed open the door and went in. We found the study door open, which seemed a bit strange. We slowly groped our way to the door and looked inside. We were startled.
A person sat in front of the text, dressed in the clothes of an ancient Onmyoji, who looked very much like the person carved on the tomb door.
"Could this be Zhuge Liang?" the old blind man asked in a low voice.
"If it were him, why would he be sitting here? Could it be that he's still alive?"
We were immediately terrified. Could it be that Zhuge Liang had really become an immortal and lived forever?
A large group of people observed from outside the door for a while, but Zhuge Kongming, who was sitting, did not move at all. At this point, everyone was no longer so afraid.
"Ahem, to my opinion it's definitely a fake. Anyone want to take a look?"
"I think so too. Who among you dares to go up and take a look?"
"Forget it, let's go up together," Xiang Fei said.
So about ten of us slowly surrounded it. At that moment, the old blind man pushed me from behind, and I lunged straight at the copywriter.
"Fuck you!" I immediately started cursing.
"Hehe, Master Liu, don't scold me yet. Take a look and see if it's fake?"
I turned around, took a breath, and looked at 'Zhuge Kongming'. I was immediately startled and jumped back. "It really is a person!" I shouted.
They immediately stopped in their tracks. "Master Liu, you're not seeing things, are you?"
"Definitely not, it has a nose and eyes, just like a living person."
Everyone hesitated. At this moment, Li Tianlong walked over and said, "You guys are supposed to be tomb raiding masters. You're not afraid of the ghosts in the Shu tombs, but now you're afraid of a dead person. I'm not afraid. I don't believe he's still alive."
After saying that, he walked over and, to our astonishment, patted 'Zhuge Kongming' on the shoulder and stood up to take a look.
"Haha, look how scared you are, it's just a mannequin."
Seeing him like this, we were all relieved and went over. Sure enough, it was a mannequin made of plaster and clay, just like the colorful terracotta figurines of ancient times.
However, the lifelike terracotta figure, just like the one depicting Zhuge Liang on the tomb door, only deepened our confusion.
"Could this be the tomb of Zhuge Liang? Just a fake body buried here?"
"Are you kidding me? Does this look like a tomb?"
Then I was drawn to something on the table: a book on it, an old-fashioned book bound together with thread, and an ink brush beside it.
"The art of Qimen Dunjia," I read out, emphasizing each word, immediately drawing everyone's attention.
"This...it can't be true, can it?" the old blind man exclaimed excitedly.
"Could this have been left behind by Zhuge Liang before his death? But why would it be placed here? Who else but tomb raiders could have gotten in? Would he leave his life's knowledge to tomb raiders?"
"Hmm, that makes sense. It's very likely a trap. It seems the legend is true; Zhuge Liang really did use this trick to swindle tomb raiders."
Uncle Liu from Hunan put on gloves, took the book, and then gestured for us to hold our breath. He slowly opened the book, and to our surprise, there were indeed words inside, though we didn't know if they were true or false.
We were all a little unsettled. Maybe this really was a precious book left behind by Zhuge Liang. Obtaining it would be a great fortune.
“Ahem, I think it would be better if we each took half of this book, and then copied each other’s half after we got out of here. What do you think?” Uncle Liu from Hunan asked.
It seems that this is the best way at the moment, and we all nodded. Xiang Fei will take the lead on our side, and Uncle Liu from Hunan will take the lead on their side. Xiang Fei took half of the book and gave it to me, saying, "Take this. This will be useful to you and to you when you become a Yin-Yang Master."
Without being polite, I put it in my pocket. There were other books on the table, but they were all poems and essays written by Zhuge Liang during his lifetime, including the "Memorial on Dispatching the Troops".
After searching the study without finding anything else, they looked around other places and eventually searched the entire palace, but still couldn't find Zhuge Liang's tomb.
"Isn't it in here?" the old blind man asked.
"This should only be his secondary mausoleum; his actual tomb should be somewhere else, perhaps above ground or perhaps underground."
After discussing it for a while, we still couldn't reach a specific conclusion. In the end, we simply started calculating the Yin and Yang trigrams. After a moment, we were all puzzled, "There are only Yang trigrams, but no Yin trigrams?"
"That's right. There's only yang here. It seems that Zhuge Liang set up a magic array. What was his purpose? Yin and yang are indispensable. Without either one, it's not a proper way of doing things. Even if he wanted to become an immortal, he couldn't have done it this way."
103 Cooperation?
"Could this be the secret behind Zhuge Liang's extraordinary skill? Separating Yin and Yang, trying to glean some secret from it?"
"The two energies of Yin and Yang are mutually generating and mutually restraining. If they are separated, they cannot form a circle. This has deviated from the laws of nature and is not in line with reality. I wonder if this was originally a huge magic array, with this place being Yang and Yin outside?"
As we were talking, a beam of starlight shone down from the sky, illuminating the palace. To our astonishment, a stone staircase appeared, winding upwards, shrouded in starlight, hazy and mysterious.
