We found another place, which Danmu Yaju took us to again. She said the food there was good, and almost all the tourists who visited their village used to eat there.
Upon arrival, we found ourselves at a riverside guesthouse or similar hotel. It wasn't luxurious, but it had its own unique charm.
Business was really good; the place was almost full, mostly with tourists and some locals. When we went in, they gave us a dirty look. If Xiang Fei hadn't made me take out my money, the waiter might have kicked us out.
We ordered five dishes, which came to over 600 yuan. Although I knew this was an overcharging price, there was nothing I could do. We had to eat, and who told us to come to this godforsaken place?
Danmu Yaju said she wasn't very hungry and ate very little, but Xiang Fei and I didn't care and ate our fill. We hadn't had a proper meal since we entered the ancient sacrificial site.
Of course, the way we ate can only be described as rude. For a moment, many people here were looking at us, and almost all of them were looking at us with mockery.
However, more attention was focused on Danmu Yaju, who was dressed in a Qiang ethnic wedding dress. Her unique ethnic minority style gave her a distinctive charm.
Just like you get tired of eating meat and fish every day, you'll occasionally drool when you see green vegetables and radishes. Of course, I'm not saying that Danmu Yaju is a green vegetable or radish. On the contrary, she has regular features and a healthy rosy complexion. If she dressed up a bit, she could be considered a beauty.
And now the impression given to others is that a good cabbage has been eaten by pigs, and two pigs that look like beggars at that.
"Now that's what you call a beautiful flower in cow dung!" someone finally said.
Others chimed in, "I think they were abducted or kidnapped by some illegitimate means."
"Should we call the police?"
"Why call the police? I can handle these two scumbags by myself."
A burly man stood up, looking a bit tipsy, and walked towards us.
Xiang Fei and I were focused on eating and didn't pay any attention. The man walked up to our table, slapped his hand, and said, "What are you two doing here? Did you do something bad and run away here?"
Xiang Fei and I were almost full. We put down our chopsticks, wiped the grease from our mouths, and asked, "What did you say?"
"What bad things have you two done to escape here?" The big man glared at me menacingly. Of course, the so-called big man was just a bit big, not very tall.
"What did you say?" Xiang Fei asked.
The burly man immediately got angry, "You two are still trying to talk nonsense with me? If I don't teach you a lesson today, I'm not a Li!"
After saying that, he slapped me across the face.
Something's not right about 125.
After saying that, he slapped me across the face.
I remained calm and simply reached out my left hand, extended my fingers together, and quickly pressed them against the big man's abdomen, also known as the dantian acupoint. We Onmyoji learn to associate finger-pressing from a young age, as it is a requirement for performing rituals. Over time, the strength of these two fingers becomes extraordinarily great. Although we don't have real skill, pressing on acupoints can be unbearable, and can even kill a person.
With a single finger pointed at the burly man's abdomen, the man's face turned deathly pale, sweat poured down his face, and he began to roll on the ground in agony.
Of course, we didn't use our full strength; we just made him suffer. I once heard Blackie say that someone could pierce an opponent's internal organs with a single finger. I'm far from that level; at most, I'd just get a little hurt.
"Hey, Master Liu, your hand is pretty good," Xiang Fei praised.
"So-so."
The others in the room looked at each other in bewilderment. "We should call the police right away. These two are not simple people."
So someone called the police station, but we couldn't be bothered to care. After we finished eating, we headed outside. Those people tried to stop us, but none of them dared to approach. They were just standing there, looking like they wanted to make a move. It was quite funny to watch.
Then someone shouted, "Let's all work together to catch the bad guys and not let them get away. Let's make our due contribution to a harmonious society!"
Then we saw those people chasing after us, but what we didn't expect was that after we ran out of the gate, they scattered in all directions. The farmhouse staff came out after us, panting and shouting, "They haven't paid their bill yet!"
Xiang Fei and I looked at each other, then shook our heads and smiled, both sighing, "This is truly a harmonious society!"
Finally, we saw a car ahead. It happened to be the same group of tourists from before. They invited us to get in. It was already past four in the afternoon, and we definitely couldn't walk to the county. These tourists were also going to the county, so we decided to hitch a ride.
Once I got on the bus, I could finally get some rest. Because we were going to travel along mountain roads, the bus was going slowly, and it would probably take about two hours to get to the county. I decided to take a nap first.
I haven't had a proper night's sleep in so many days, and now my nerves are starting to age prematurely.
I fell asleep shortly after sitting down. I don't know how much time passed, but I was woken up by someone pushing me awake. When I opened my eyes, I saw that the car had stopped. I thought we had arrived in the county, but there were still mountains outside.
"Why did you stop?" I asked.
"The mountain road ahead has suddenly collapsed and is blocked by rocks. The rescue team is still on its way, and it probably won't be open for a while. Everyone, please stay in the car and don't wander around," the driver said as he got out of the car.
I looked out the window and sure enough, the road ahead was blocked by several large rocks, and there were several cars parked there as well.
