Upon hearing what I said, the middle-aged woman's expression immediately changed. "Master, please save my child!"
After asking about the situation, it turned out that the child's father had offended some people while doing business. These people, from who knows where, had cast a spell on the child, and the child had become somewhat strange. The reason for coming to the Qiang ethnic group was that they had heard that there were sorcerers in the Qiang ethnic group who could break the spell on the child, so they brought the child with them.
"Master, you must save my child! I'm willing to pay any amount of money."
He waved his hand, saying it wasn't about money. Since I'd run into this situation, I would naturally help. Perhaps his father had done something shady, but that had nothing to do with the child.
He pointed his finger at the child's forehead, silently recited a few incantations, then took out a paper talisman and stuck it on the child's chest, raising it slightly upwards. The ghostly energy hidden in the child's body was drawn out.
He burned the paper talisman and gave another talisman to the middle-aged woman, saying, "Now you're alright. Go back and make a cloth bag and sew this talisman inside, then you won't have to worry anymore."
The middle-aged woman thanked me profusely and tried to give me money, but I refused. She then asked me to leave my contact information, which I also refused. I turned around and left with Wang Ling.
“Master Liu, you’re starting to do good deeds now too,” Xiang Fei said with a smile.
"No, no, I just happened to run into them and helped out. The child is innocent."
We chatted and laughed all the way to the Qiang village. As usual, Qiang people were coming and going, and tourists were arriving one after another.
We went inside and started sightseeing like any other tourists, while telling Wang Ling some stories about the history of the Qiang people.
When we arrived at the Qiang watchtower, we saw a group of Qiang girls walking towards us. The one leading them was Elder Tak's daughter, Tajirma. I had initially thought she was just out having fun.
Unexpectedly, she called out to me, "Liu Zhihua, are you alright?" Her big, watery eyes looked at me.
I immediately had a bad feeling, and sure enough, I saw Wang Ling next to me snort.
Today, Tajirma looks even more radiant and beautiful than before, dressed in traditional Qiang ethnic clothing. Of course, in my opinion, she still looks just like Xie Xiaoyan.
Xiang Fei was alright, but the old blind man and the others stared wide-eyed, their mouths agape as if they could fit a goose egg in them.
"They look so alike!" the old blind man exclaimed. "Could this be what they call fate?"
The old blind man was about to say something when Xiang Fei interrupted him. Uncle Liu from Hunan also shook his head, saying, "That's fate."
Wang Ling couldn't figure it out either. Although she had never met Xie Xiaoyan in person, she knew a little about the matter. Now, seeing our expressions, she guessed what was going on.
She instantly flew into a rage, walked up to him, and said fiercely, "Don't you want to let him go? Why are you clinging to him so desperately? It's over between you two. No matter how much you had in the past, it's all over. He has a new life now, a new beginning. Do you want him to continue suffering?" It has to be said that when a woman gets angry, she can be terrifying.
We were all stunned; we hadn't expected Wang Ling to react so strongly.
Looking at Tagilma, she had a wronged and confused expression. "What are you talking about? I don't understand at all. I've only met him once before."
I quickly pulled Wang Ling back, "It's not what you think. She just looks a lot like me. We don't know each other at all. I only met her when I came to the Qiang region last time."
"Hmph, who knows if what you're saying is true," Wang Ling glared at me, then suddenly burst into tears. "I know, you came to the Qiang tribe to find her, not for anything else."
Suddenly, I felt a headache coming on. I'm the kind of person who's slow to react when it comes to relationships, and this situation left me feeling like crying. I already knew Wang Ling was spoiled and fiery, and if I didn't handle this well, she probably wouldn't give me a good look for the next few days.
I originally wanted to ask Xiang Fei and the others for help, but those guys just turned their faces away, acting like it was none of their business. I was so angry that I really wanted to beat them up.
"Liu Zhihua, is this your girlfriend?" Tagilma looked at me with her innocent, watery eyes, looking so pitiful that anyone who didn't know the situation would think she had suffered some great injustice.
Wang Ling was crying loudly beside me, almost like a shrew from the countryside. I tried my best to explain, but I found that the more I explained, the worse it got. Finally, I couldn't control myself and my anger exploded. "Enough! Shut up right now!" I shouted, which frightened everyone around me. At that moment, I looked like a big villain.
There was a moment of silence. I thought Wang Ling would explode, but to my surprise, she was silenced by my sternness and looked at me with a pitiful expression.
"Alright, stop arguing. I'm not lying to you. I only met Tagilma once last time I came here. We're not familiar with each other."
Wang Ling's mood improved, and I looked at Tagilma. "We were just passing by and stopped by for a visit. Are you guys heading out?"
“Oh, I see,” Tagilma glanced at me and nodded. “Then you guys have fun, we’re going out to the market.”
After saying that, she walked over with the other Qiang girls, and we continued walking inside.
People were coming and going in the village. We were pretending to be tourists, but our main purpose was to find clues.
Before we knew it, we had reached the innermost part of the village, which was now halfway up the mountain. Elder Tak's house was right here. Since we were here, we should definitely meet him. I imagined what it would be like when we met.
