Chapter 639

Wu Yue released my hand, looked at me, and walked into the depths of the flowers and trees, slowly disappearing until she was completely gone.

"Are there really immortals? Is there an afterlife?" I asked myself. Watching Wu Yue's disappearing figure, I could only sigh before returning to the main hall.

I pushed open the door and found that Xiang Fei and the others were gone. They probably went somewhere else. Now I'm all alone. I have to be careful.

Wu Yue just told me that this place is not safe, and this unsafety includes many aspects, including both ghosts and people.

I looked around the main hall but didn't find anything. But at that moment, I had a feeling that a pair of eyes were watching me from behind, which made me uneasy.

Looking back, there was nothing there, and he immediately decided to find Xiang Fei and the others first.

As I walked out of the main hall, I randomly chose a direction to go. Just as I reached a corner, I suddenly saw a figure sneaking out of a pavilion. Because his back was to me, I couldn't see his face and couldn't be sure who he was.

After thinking for a moment, I squatted down in the flower bushes in the corner to observe. I saw this person sneaking around furtively before entering the main hall.

I quietly followed them and crouched down outside the gate to peek inside.

I saw this person groping for something on the wall directly above the main hall. I wanted to see his face clearly, but he didn't turn around. I couldn't just rush up to him, so I squatted outside the door and waited for an opportunity.

Suddenly I heard a sound, like the sound of stones moving, and I saw a stone door open on the front wall of the main hall, and that person had already gone inside.

One hundred and fifty-one White-browed Taoist

He immediately realized that this must be a secret door. No wonder this great hall had no other exits. This secret door must lead to an important place in Mount Shu, and it might even be the place where the White-Browed Taoist cultivated.

After thinking it over for a moment, I followed them inside. Inside was a man-made stone path, about two meters high, enough for two people to pass through smoothly.

I didn't know how deep it was, and the person had already disappeared. So I carefully groped my way forward. After walking for a while, I saw a light ahead and thought to myself that I must have arrived at my destination.

As I got closer to the light source, I realized that it was a series of copper lamps placed on both sides of the passage, about one every ten meters. And here, the passage became wider.

A sense of unease began to rise within me. I suspected this place was a crucial point on the way to Mount Shu, and I wondered what kind of discoveries I might make.

As I continued walking, I suddenly felt something was wrong. It felt like I was in a maze, and no matter which way I went, it was the same.

He had a bad feeling; there must be something strange about this passage. He hadn't been paying attention and had gotten lost.

At this moment, I know I must not panic, because panic will only lead to danger. The only way is to calm down, carefully look for the flaws, and find the right direction.

The passage was exactly the same. I walked through it once and didn't find anything strange. Then I marked the ground and started walking down.

After walking for a while, I returned to the starting point. "Could there be some kind of esoteric magic here?" I wondered to myself. Then I took out some copper coins and began to use the Yin-Yang formation to break the spell.

Qimen Dunjia contains Yin and Yang and the Eight Trigrams. I have already learned a lot from Xiang Fei and the others. I tried to calm myself down and observe the changes around me.

“The image of the Eight Trigrams of the Primordial Era opens the Gate of Life for me.” I threw the copper coin in my hand and immediately jumped out. I saw another passage appear in front of me, just like the previous one.

Without much hesitation, I went inside. After walking for a short while, I heard the sound of flowing water ahead. "We should be there soon."

Slowing down, I cautiously made my way forward. A dazzling light shone ahead, as if I were about to enter a world of light. Then I saw a stone door, and the passage ended there.

Composing myself, I stepped out of the stone gate. When I saw what was before me, I was immediately stunned and speechless. "This...this is the place to become an immortal?"

The heart of Mount Shu, the very center of the mountain, is the true location of the land of immortality. It should be the place where the White-Browed Taoist cultivated in the past, and the place where one can attain immortality.

When I arrived here, I had a feeling that I was standing at the pinnacle of the universe, with everything in the world at my feet. This feeling was mesmerizing and made me forget myself.

Before me was a huge stone cave, which seemed to contain everything. Inside, I could see mountains and rivers, the sun, moon and stars, and floating and sinking fairy mountains. In the depths, it was as if chaos was beginning to open, and the creation of the world was taking place.

The river rushes on, and a waterfall plunges straight down. Below it is a huge stone platform, where you can also see a meditation cushion.

Presumably, the White-Browed Taoist is sitting on this. Everything here seems fantastical, but I know it is arranged according to the most ancient and original true meaning of Taoism, with techniques that reach the heavens.

The Dao refers to all things and the universe. Ancient cultivators all wanted to comprehend the Dao in the hope that one day they could prove it. The day they proved the Dao would be the day they ascended to immortality and live as long as the heavens, standing at the pinnacle of the universe.

This place is a place where one can defy the heavens and create great fortune. The effects of cultivating here are terrifying, but I soon discovered a fatal flaw. Perhaps this is the beginning of the decline of Mount Shu. A crack appeared in the entire mountain, about a meter wide, and spiritual energy was leaking out. Gradually, this place lost its heaven-defying fortune.

"It's a pity that man proposes, God disposes; in the end, it was all worn away by the years," I sighed softly.
