Isn't this exactly Ji Mo's goal? He saw that she possessed the Heart of the Mountain Spirit, assumed she had become the patriarch of the Mountain Spirit clan, and feared that Mu Rao would face retribution from the Mountain Spirits after her death. That's why he risked everything to save her from the elders.
There was no need to act for her anymore; she already knew what kind of demon Ji Mo was. It was just that she loved him, so she was willing to give him anything—her trust, her life.
As long as he wants it, as long as she has it.
Bo Zheng broke free from Jimo's embrace and gradually moved away from it. He walked along the path, into the mountains and forests, and into the depths of a corner that was unseen by him.
Actually, she was a little tired. Constantly chasing after someone, always hopelessly loving him—it was truly exhausting.
If she disappears and Mu Rao is well, that's what Ji Mo wants. So, so be it.
They walked and walked until they reached the edge of the Ecstasy Cliff, where Bo Zheng stopped. Her wide white dress fluttered in the mountain wind, and her long black hair danced in the air. Bo Zheng turned around and said, "Come out."
The elder, Mu Rao, dressed in red, and her fellow disciples appeared together. Mu Rao looked at Bo Zheng with deep-seated hatred in her eyes: "You're really something, managing to get Ji Mo to help you escape."
Bo Zheng smiled gently at her: "Then aren't you even better? He was so anxious that he had no choice but to take me away to escape."
"You mean..." Mu Rao's expression immediately became flustered, a mixture of sorrow and joy. Being an exceptionally intelligent demon, she naturally understood Bo Zheng's implication once he pointed it out. Ji Mo had driven her away for her sake, and saving Bo Zheng was also for her sake; everything he did was for her.
Bo Zheng smiled again; this was the last thing she could do for Jimo.
Putting aside romantic feelings, she found Mu Rao and Ji Mo, these two demons, quite interesting. One greatly underestimated the Mountain Spirit's strength, actually wanting to let her go back so he could wipe out the entire Mountain Spirit clan. The other, however, greatly overestimated the Mountain Spirit's affection for its people, actually believing that the Mountain Spirits would come out in droves for her.
Actually, that's not the case.
From the day she fell in love with Jimo, Bozheng was destined to be alone forever. Even if she died, no one would grieve for her.
She suddenly felt an indescribable sadness.
"Today, except for Mu Rao, all of you will be buried with me." This declaration of death, in Bo Zheng's weathered voice, was as light as a sigh.
Then, a spectacular display of fireworks, unlike anything ever seen in the world, lit up Zhongmei Mountain.

"How did Bo Zheng kill those demons? Didn't she lose all her magic? Is she really dead?" The little orchid fairy blinked her curious eyes, relentlessly pressing for details of the story. "And Ji Mo, did he end up with Mu Rao afterward? Did he really not like Bo Zheng at all?"
The orchid fairy was indignant. Bo Zheng had given so much, but Ji Mo didn't like her at all. It was so unfair.
The storyteller, a white-haired demon, had dark, unfathomable eyes that held emotions no one could understand. He said, "Have you forgotten the Heart of the Mountain Spirit? Bo Zheng detonated the Heart of the Mountain Spirit, perishing together with the demons who were besieging her. Bo Zheng, of course, is dead."
"As for Ji Mo, he didn't end up with Mu Rao either. He still doesn't know if he likes Bo Zheng, but he knows that there will never be another demon in his life who loves him like Bo Zheng does. Ji Mo is a heartless demon, so heartless that he can disown his own parents, but he still can't help but be moved by the affection that Bo Zheng gives him. So he still loves Mu Rao, but he can no longer be with her."
"I see..." This ending did not quite meet the expectations of the Orchid Fairy. In her opinion, Bo Zheng had sacrificed so much for Ji Mo, how could Ji Mo not love her?
The orchid fairy was too young; she didn't know that love isn't something where you'll always get something in return for your efforts.
The white-haired demon then said, "Actually, this is not the end."
The orchid fairy's curiosity was immediately piqued: "So what was the ending?"
The white-haired demon said, "Bo Zheng is dead, but Ji Mo discovered that her soul still exists. Ji Mo used the Soul Pearl to collect Bo Zheng's soul and took it before the immortals to ask for her resurrection."
Did he succeed?
"It succeeded, but it wasn't a complete success either."
"Huh?" The little orchid fairy was immediately conflicted. Had it succeeded or not?
The white-haired demon said, "The immortal agreed to let Ji Mo use all his magic power to resurrect Bo Zheng, but Bo Zheng did not want to live anymore. So... Ji Mo asked the immortal to reincarnate Bo Zheng."
The orchid fairy was overjoyed: "Reincarnation would be the best! I'll be an orchid fairy, just like me!"
"Yes, just like you." The white-haired demon's voice suddenly choked up.
He said, "But Ji Mo has never understood why Bo Zheng, who clearly said she didn't blame him, was unwilling to be resurrected and be with him... Now, he is willing to be with her."
The orchid fairy thought for a moment and said, "Bo Zheng is too tired."
"Too tired?"
"Yes. Loving is too tiring, so even if Ji Mo is willing to be with her, she doesn't want to love him anymore."
Love that goes unrequited is always just giving. Constantly doubting everything he says, afraid he's setting a trap for me again... it's exhausting.
Being together is never the end; it's just the beginning.
Even if Ji Mo said he had fallen in love with her now, Bo Zheng would no longer be willing to be with him. Her heart was weary and afraid, and she didn't want to think any further about what kind of conspiracy was hidden behind this beautiful vow, or whether it would make her pay an even greater price.
I'd rather forget him and stop loving him altogether.
In an instant, the white-haired demon's hair seemed to turn even whiter. His dark pupils reflected extreme pain, and he could only hold back his sobs by tightly gripping his sleeves.
