"This is the imperial tomb," the old blind man swallowed hard. "I never thought I'd be able to enter an imperial tomb in my lifetime. I wonder what it's like inside."
"Let's get started," Xiang Fei said, clearly excited. He rubbed his hands together and went over.
The group circled the white jade door several times, but none of them knew how to open it.
"Damn it, this thing is sealed shut with mud from the inside. Unless you use explosives, there's no way to open it," the old blind man said.
"Use explosives? I'm telling you, you're getting senile. You don't believe me? If you use explosives here, you'll die fast. Look at what's up there," I said, pointing to the ceiling.
Above the tomb passage, there were blocks of rock. Perhaps the emperor knew that his tomb might be blown up, since gunpowder had already been invented at that time, so he set up a trap.
In places like this, even the slightest tremor could cause rocks to fall down, potentially crushing us into a pulp.
After I said that, Xiang Fei and the others all nodded in agreement.
"What should we do then? Are we just going to stand here and do nothing?" At this moment, the black cat stretched out his slender fingers and tapped on the white jade door. "It shouldn't be sealed inside. Perhaps the laborers who built the tomb left a backup plan."
After he finished speaking, he began to examine it carefully. We all held our breath and waited expectantly. After a while, we heard a click and the white jade door slowly opened.
We quickly moved aside; it was just a false alarm, no mechanism had been activated inside.
"Ah, this door actually has a mechanism; I thought it was sealed shut."
The black cat had already jumped in, and we followed. This was the real tomb passage, artificially excavated like an air-raid shelter. Bones were scattered everywhere on the ground, and if you accidentally stepped on them, they would make a cracking sound.
Gradually, murals began to appear on the stone walls of the tomb passage. Unlike the ancient Shu murals we had seen before, these murals depicted scenes of the Shu people’s lives and work, and finally, a majestic portrait of the Shu emperor.
"This should be Wang Jian, the founding emperor of the Former Shu. He was originally a general of the imperial guards of the Tang Dynasty in Shu. Later, he entered Sichuan and established the Former Shu. He should not be a descendant of the ancient Shu. It seems that he must have discovered the secret of the ancient Shu, which is why he claimed to be a descendant of the ancient Shu."

Suddenly, a strange feeling washed over me. Instinctively, I shone my headlamp on the ceiling and was immediately shocked. Above me was a mural of a bronze human face, exactly the same as the mural in the Shu Tomb, with eerie eyes staring at me.
A chill ran through me, and I quickly looked away.
Xiang Fei's voice rang out, "Look quickly!"
Following his finger, we saw that the stone wall on the right was covered with murals, but these murals were different from the ones we had seen before. These murals could only be described as shocking and eerie.
The most striking image is a mural depicting soldiers of the Former Shu Kingdom digging up a pitch-black coffin from the ground, surrounded by well-preserved ancient corpses.
Then, in the second mural, the black coffin was opened, but the content depicted in the mural was chilling. The wind howled and the ground was covered with mountains of corpses, and blood stained the earth red. In the churning black mist, a pair of blood-red eyes could be vaguely seen.
In the mural below, the people of Shu begin to flee in all directions, as if an extremely terrifying scene has occurred.
The last mural depicts the construction of the imperial mausoleum, which can only be described as spectacular. It was just like building the Great Wall, with the entire mountain hollowed out, involving at least tens of thousands of people.
We looked at each other, both of us realizing what was going on.
"It seems this is not just a royal tomb. It may be a sacrificial site of the ancient Shu people, which Wang Jian has used as his own tomb. Hehe! It seems we need to be mentally prepared this time," the old blind man said.
We certainly know what he meant. Wang Jian probably discovered the secret of the ancient Shu people and then wanted to become an immortal himself, so he built his tomb here.
Looking at the dark entrance, we couldn't tell whether we were afraid or excited. It felt like a demon's lair was inside, with devils watching us.
“Let’s go. Now that we’re here, why should we go back?” Xiang Fei said.
They all nodded and began to walk inside.
After passing through the tomb passage, the view suddenly opened up. Shining our headlamps, we saw a huge cave, as if the entire mountain had been hollowed out. The ground was divided into several areas. In the area in front of us, there were terracotta figures standing everywhere. They looked like soldiers from the Shu Kingdom, but strangely, none of these terracotta figures had eyes...
There are about two hundred pieces standing side by side, followed by horses or chariots. This style of burial is very much in line with the thoughts of emperors throughout history. They were the sons of heaven and the rulers of the world, so they wanted to live forever more than anyone else.
In another area, there were piles of bones. These bones were special; they shimmered under the light, appearing translucent and like they were made of jade.

"Hey, what kind of bone is this?" the old blind man asked curiously, and walked over first, followed by us.
The pit was filled with these bones. We walked over, picked up a piece, and examined it closely.
“This should be human bone, but how can it look like jade?” I asked.
“Look,” Xiang Fei picked up a broken piece of shell, covered with characters that looked like oracle bone script. “This must be the bone of an ancient human.”
