"The Chan Sect shall be established!!!" This voice was heard throughout the primordial world, and all living beings in the world bowed down towards Kunlun Mountain, calling him a sage.
As soon as the Chan Sect was established, Tongtian, like Yuanshi Tianzun, stood in the air on Jin'ao Island, tossing the Four Swords of Zhuxian and the array diagram into the air, and shouted: "Heavenly Dao bears witness, I am Tongtian, a disciple of Hongjun, transformed from the primordial spirit of Pangu. I now establish a sect, intending to seize a sliver of life from the Heavenly Dao, named the Jie Sect, with the Four Swords of Zhuxian and the array diagram as its treasures." Instantly, like Yuanshi Tianzun becoming a saint, the Heavenly Dao sensed it, bestowing upon Tongtian the merit of establishing the sect and the merit of Pangu creating the world, which he absorbed, making him a saint and attaining the supreme status of a Hunyuan Daluo Golden Immortal. A flash appeared on Tongtian's body, revealing his saintly form, and from Tongtian as the center, a ripple spread throughout the entire prehistoric world, causing the spiritual energy to fluctuate violently. The stars of the heavens responded, showering down boundless starlight.
"The Jie Sect shall rise to power!!!" This voice was heard throughout the primordial world, and all living beings in the world bowed down towards Jin'ao Island, calling him a sage.
When the Three Pure Ones attained sainthood, the two in the West also sensed it. Zhunti was anxious and asked Jieyin, "Senior brother, everyone in the East has already become a saint, but where is our path?"
A rare smile appeared on Jieyin's face, but it didn't look good against his bitter expression; it was more like crying. Jieyin said, "Junior brother, our paths have become clear." Zhunti looked at Jieyin with surprise.
Jieyin smiled and looked at Zhunti, pointing one finger at the lotus in the Eight Treasures Merit Pool and the other at Bodhi, and shouted: "Junior brother, if you don't understand now, when will you?"
Zhunti looked where Jieyin was pointing and heard Jieyin's voice again. His heart felt as if the clouds had parted and the fog had cleared. He smiled and said, "When the flowers bloom, I see myself; when I see Bodhi, I see him."
Suddenly, chanting of Buddhist scriptures resounded from the west.
"If I attain unsurpassed Bodhi and become a fully enlightened being, the Buddha-land I reside in will be adorned with immeasurable and inconceivable merits and virtues. There will be no hells, hungry ghosts, birds, beasts, or even the smallest insects. All sentient beings, including those in the Yama realm and the three evil realms, who come to my Buddha-land and receive my Dharma teachings, will all attain Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi and will never again fall into evil realms. If this vow is fulfilled, I will become a Buddha. If this vow is not fulfilled, I will not attain unsurpassed enlightenment. When I become a Buddha, all sentient beings in the ten directions will be born in my Buddha-land, possessing bodies of pure purple-gold, with the thirty-two marks of a great man, upright and pure, and all of the same kind. If there are differences in appearance, with some being beautiful and some ugly, I will not attain enlightenment... When I become a Buddha, from the edge of the earth..." "From the highest heavens, palaces, pavilions, ponds, flowing waters, flowering trees, and all things in the land, all are composed of immeasurable precious fragrance. This fragrance pervades the ten directions. All beings who smell it will cultivate the Buddha's path. If this is not so, I will not attain perfect enlightenment. When I become a Buddha, all Bodhisattvas in the ten directions, upon hearing my name, will all attain purity, liberation, universal samadhi, and profound dharani, abiding in samadhi until they attain Buddhahood. In samadhi, they will constantly make offerings to all immeasurable and boundless Buddhas, never losing their concentration. If this is not so, I will not attain perfect enlightenment. When I become a Buddha, Bodhisattvas in other worlds, upon hearing my name, will cultivate the Bodhisattva path, possessing virtuous roots. If they do not immediately attain even one, two, or three kinds of forbearance, and cannot directly realize the non-retrogression of all Buddha-dharma, I will not attain perfect enlightenment."
May this merit adorn the Pure Land of Buddha.
To repay the fourfold kindness above, and to relieve the suffering of the three lower realms below.
May all who see or hear this awaken the Bodhi mind.
May we, in this very lifetime, be reborn together in the Land of Ultimate Bliss.
As the chanting ceased, celestial maidens scattered flowers in the sky, countless golden lotuses sprang from the ground, two beams of golden light filled the heavens and earth, and a relic and a Bodhi tree shot into the air. The fragrance of sandalwood permeated the air, intoxicating all who beheld it. It turned out that the Western Amitabha and Cundi had made a great vow to deliver all sentient beings, establish the Western Religion, and attain sainthood, hence these extraordinary celestial phenomena were displayed to show the world.
The beings of the primordial world had just finished worshipping Tongtian when they heard of the establishment of the Western religion. They all couldn't help but bow down to the West, calling him a sage.
In a single day, six people became saints. All the creatures of the primordial world worshipped them, one after another. Fortunately, all those who could become saints succeeded; otherwise, they would have been exhausted to death.
Xuan Tian, in the underworld, suddenly said to Ping Xin, "This world has gone mad."
Twenty-one sages accepted disciples, and Taiyi returned to the Heavenly Court.
Last time, we talked about how the accident of Xuan Tian becoming a saint caused Lao Tzu to become a saint ahead of time, which also gave others a warning. As a result, six people became saints in one day, which really shocked the other great gods in the prehistoric world.
Now that all the disciples of Hongjun have become saints, regardless of the method they used, none of them are without the potential to become saints. This has caused another wave of tension among the other great gods of the prehistoric world. They have already witnessed the strength of saints, and the Primordial Purple Qi is gone. The only hope lies with Hongyun. Anyone in the prehistoric world with a high level of cultivation knows what the battle between Xuantian and the Styx was all about. Those with ulterior motives are watching Wuzhuang Temple closely. Of course, some people have also suspected Xuantian, but few have such doubts. Firstly, Xuantian already possesses the Primordial Purple Qi, and secondly, Xuantian is already a saint. Even if they doubt him, what can they do?
Although they suspected Zhen Yuanzi, few dared to cause trouble at Wuzhuang Temple. Firstly, their strength was insufficient; even if they went, they wouldn't be a match for Zhen Yuanzi. After all, Zhen Yuanzi possessed the Earth Book, and during the Heavenly Court's siege of Hongyun, he had used it to make a name for himself, deterring those who felt they lacked the Heavenly Court's power from even considering causing him trouble. Even those stronger than Zhen Yuanzi might not be able to break through his defenses. Secondly, it was common knowledge that Xuan Tian had entrusted the human race to Zhen Yuanzi's care before his departure. Now that Xuan Tian had become a saint, anyone wanting to cause trouble for Zhen Yuanzi would have to consider whether Xuan Tian would intervene.
Let's leave aside the story of Zhen Yuanzi of Wuzhuang Temple and talk about those newly enlightened saints.
Among the sages, the Three Pure Ones moved their sacred sites to the Chaos after attaining sainthood, each establishing their own. Laozi's site was called Taiqing Realm Taichi Heaven, Yuanshi's was called Yuqing Realm Qingwei Heaven, and Tongtian's was called Shangqing Realm Yuyu Heaven. The two Western religions, on the other hand, used their great magical power to create a world in the West, outside the Three Realms and Five Elements, which they called the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
