"I'm an outsider, just slightly interested in the 'falling star phenomenon'." Philsa wanted to gather more information, "Where did the meteor fall?"
The old man did not answer directly, but instead leaned close to his ear and whispered, "You are Philsa of the Extreme Ice, aren't you?"
He didn't speak, which was taken as tacit agreement. Jielu quietly slipped her hand into her waistband, just in case he made a move.
"It doesn't matter who you are. Our guild remains neutral, and we have no interest in King Augustine's bounty. However—"
The old man warned Philsa in a low voice: "It is very impolite to use your magical senses to detect someone's magical aura without permission. I hope you will stop here."
He nodded silently in apology, then asked, "I want to know where the meteor fell."
Jielu advised her companion not to ask too many questions, lest it cause trouble.
The two came to the guild primarily to meet Freya.
"It's in that jungle a few miles outside the city. If you look carefully, you should be able to find it. I'm just giving you a friendly reminder: the true nature of the meteor is a demon."
"Thanks for the reminder." Philsa didn't want to reveal her connection to the shooting star.
Actually, he was already thankful that the other party had discovered his identity but hadn't made a move. Jielu also secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
It turns out that Freya already knew about Philsa's situation and deliberately chose such a place where it was unlikely to cause any trouble for their meeting, which shows how meticulous she was.
Footsteps came from the stairs. Geluru looked over and saw Freya coming down to the lobby, followed by her companion, Kelling.
She was overjoyed to see Gerald's visit, and then she saw Firsa, whose face was covered by a hat.
"Come on up first."
Freya invited the two of them upstairs to sit down before speaking, as she regarded the Alchemists' Guild of Fallingwind City as her own home.
The students here also respected this noble lady in purple robes.
The upper floor mainly consists of individual laboratories and bedrooms, arranged on both sides of the red carpeted corridor. Freya led the two to the far end of the corridor and used a key to open the room on the left, which was a guest room specifically for receiving guests.
Suddenly, Jelu remembered that Freya's father was the Grand Master of the Alchemist Guild, so Freya was also very familiar with the guild.
Freya called for Kelin to pour tea as if he were a servant, then said to Gelu and Firsa, her gaze slightly toward Firsa: "Let me clarify something first, I didn't mean to do anything to you last night, I'm really sorry about that."
"The one with the hammer aimed right here. You don't want to do anything to me, but that guy does."
Philsa pointed to his forehead.
Jielu secretly found his way of complaining somewhat amusing, as if he was venting his frustrations in a humorous way.
"You..." Freya was a little annoyed, crossed her arms, and didn't know how to refute for a moment.
After brewing the tea, Kelling came over and explained for her, "Yesterday's adventurers were originally members of Freya's guild, most of whom she didn't know very well. Later, they changed their minds and all wanted to take the head of Felsa, the Ice Queen." Freya nodded in satisfaction at Kelling's explanation.
"I see, it was a misunderstanding." Jielu concluded, finally clearing up her doubts.
“I really didn’t know that the person next to him that night was you, Jielu.”
Jelu smiled and said it was alright.
"So you knew I was Philsa that night, right? Then why did you go to such lengths to trap me in a barrier, seal my ice magic, and send archers and swordsmen to besiege me? It's like a trap set in the sky. What do you want with me?"
"Why do you talk so rudely!" Freya clenched her fists angrily.
"As you said, we finally meet today. Philsa, it's been a long time."
"Long time no see." His reply was cold and emotionless, just like his expression at that moment.
Jelu wondered if Freya had done something in the past that angered Philsa.
She had never seen her companions so indifferent.
However, the reality was unexpected.
Freya took a deep breath, glared at Philsa, and demanded, "Eight years ago—"
He remained silent.
Jelu and Kelin watched Freya.
Why did you stab my father?
How could that be? Jelu absolutely refused to believe that her companion would intentionally harm her friend's family; it must be a misunderstanding.
“I saw it with my own eyes! You caused my father to be in a coma for more than a month! He almost never woke up!” Freya’s eyes reddened slightly as she said this.
Kelling had never seen her so excited.
Kelling knew perfectly well why Freya cared so much about her father.
Because her father died in battle shortly after her birth.
He didn't understand why the person in front of him would hurt her father, but he had long believed that most people who made girls unhappy were not good people.
Jelu waited for Philsa to explain, but he remained silent.
He finally uttered a soft "I'm so sorry."
The companion admitted it? What exactly happened?
Freya tells Gerald that she met Felsa after the Phantom Troupe disbanded. He accepted her request to escort her back to Fukisakura Island, and the two formed a friendship.
On the evening she returned to the island, her father warmly invited Felsa to dinner and decided to write a letter to the Knights praising the young woman.
However, that night, she discovered that her father remained in the laboratory inside their castle and did not appear for a long time.
Curious, he ran over to take a look and found that Firza was confronting his father, who had stabbed him in the chest with a sword.
