Even with a body that is now at the seventh level of enlightenment and stronger than that of a great witch, it still felt pain, which shows how hard Tathagata's fists were.
Tathagata did not wait for Liao Zhen to turn back, and continued to fight with his fists. He firmly believed that no matter how powerful Liao Zhen was, he could not match the strength of his physical body that he had cultivated over the years.
The two fought almost like ordinary mortals, exchanging blows. Tathagata's cultivation was slightly higher, and his fist techniques were superior, making him difficult to defend against. Liao Zhen's divine skill, however, was the strongest close-combat technique. Even with Tathagata's formidable strength, he couldn't harm Liao Zhen. On the contrary, Liao Zhen grew increasingly excited and powerful with each fight. After all, Liao Zhen had never engaged in close combat before. It wasn't that he didn't want to, but always, either his opponents were far more powerful than him, or he was bombarded with magical treasures. Close combat? He'd be killed before even getting close.
Now that he had finally found a close-combat expert, Liao Zhen was very happy. As the fight went on and on, Liao Zhen even felt that his cultivation technique had made some breakthroughs. He wondered if he should go and fight Tathagata when he encountered a bottleneck in his cultivation in the future.
Buddha was extremely frustrated. First, his disciple was killed, and right before his eyes. How could Buddha swallow this insult? He couldn't defeat Liaozhen with his magic weapons, and when he tried his best with his fighting techniques, he found that Liaozhen was an unkillable cockroach. What Buddha hated most was this kind of technique. He could recover immediately after being hit, and he would become more energetic the more he was hit. As long as you didn't kill him or drain the spiritual energy of heaven and earth before hitting him, he would basically be an unkillable cockroach forever. Buddha gritted his teeth and secretly hated it. He vowed to fight this kind of technique every time he saw it in the future.
Everyone around was watching. Seeing that they couldn't take Zhen down any longer, and fearing that they would lose all face, Tathagata couldn't hold back any longer. He punched Zhen away, then jumped to the side, put his hands together, and said, "Amitabha, fellow Daoist, you are indeed very capable."
When Liaozhen saw this, he thought that Buddha was about to admit defeat, and laughed and said, "Buddha is too kind, I dare not accept such praise."
The Buddha's expression changed, and he said, "Fellow Daoist has many Dharma treasures, which are difficult for this humble monk to overcome. I can only temporarily lend you my Buddhist Dharma treasures. Please forgive me, Fellow Daoist." After saying this, the Buddha took out the Seven Treasures Tree and immediately went towards the True Brush.
Upon seeing this, the gods of the underworld immediately began to curse, saying that Tathagata was despicable for attacking with a saint's magic weapon.
The artifacts used by sages to attain enlightenment are different from innate spiritual treasures and other magical treasures. They are based on the sage's Dao and are directly evolved into the artifact. The Three Pure Ones, Jieyin, and Zhunti are all included. These artifacts are made with great merit as material and the evolution of one's own Dao into the Great Dao as the foundation. They are like the Xuanhuang Pagoda and the Measuring Ruler. These artifacts are artifacts that have evolved the Great Dao of Pangu's creation of the world. Even sages cannot reach this level.
Just like this Seven Treasures Tree, although its grade may not be higher than some innate spiritual treasures, its attacks carry a certain amount of saintly power. Saints evolve from their own Dao practice, and when the Great Dao within is used, it will evolve a certain amount of unique attack characteristics of saints. The higher the level, the more they can even directly borrow a part of the power of the Heavenly Dao. Of course, this part of the borrowed Heavenly Dao power is only the part that saints can borrow, but it can be said that apart from innate supreme treasures, there are few magical treasures in the world that can compare with the magical artifacts of saints who have attained the Dao.
When a sage attains enlightenment, the Great Dao unfolds and reveals itself. The sage refines it, bestows it with merit, and the resulting treasures possess immense power.
Regardless of what others say, Buddha has lost face today. As the leader of a religion, he must at least win back his dignity.
The Buddha took out the Seven Treasures Tree and swung it towards Zhen. The Seven Treasures Tree transformed into a seven-colored light that swept towards Zhen, with a seven-colored golden lotus within it, attacking Zhen with the power of heaven and earth.
Liao Zhen dared not take the blow head-on and quickly dodged to the side. The Seven Treasures Tree spun around and then came swish again. Liao Zhen had nowhere to dodge, so he met the attack head-on with both fists. His body was protected by Xuan Yuan spiritual light. The fists and treasures collided with a loud bang, and Liao Zhen was sent flying several feet away, landing on the ground.
Tathagata, seizing the advantage, pressed his advantage and immediately launched another attack on Liao Zhen. With a sweep of the Seven Treasures Tree, Liao Zhen, injured, rolled away and barely dodged the attack.
Seeing her younger brother injured, Huixin was furious and said, "Buddha, you are too despicable! Using a saint's magic weapon to bully others, what kind of cultivation do you have? Bring me to meet you!" With that, Huixin took out the Zixiao Sword and went towards Buddha.
A man named Randeng shouted a Buddhist chant, "Namo Amitabha Buddha," and stopped Huixin, saying, "Please do not do this, benefactor. Fellow Daoist Liaozhen has agreed to a battle with Buddha Tathagata to resolve karma. If you want to interfere, wouldn't that be forcibly creating karma and interfering with the secrets of heaven?"
Huixin frowned and said, "Randeng, please step aside. My affairs are none of your concern."
Ran Deng laughed and said, "The two of them are fighting to settle this karma. If you insist on stopping them, wouldn't that be an act of bullying the weak with the many? Please forgive me, benefactor."
After speaking, a blue lotus rose above the head of the lamp, and on the lotus was a relic. The Buddha's light shone all around, and golden light surged from the lamp's body, as if the Buddha had descended to earth, blocking Huixin's way.
Huixin coldly said, "How dare you flaunt your unorthodox techniques?" With that, she slapped her forehead, revealing auspicious clouds. The clouds were clear and bright like water. Within the half-acre of auspicious clouds, three lotus flowers stood, one black, one white, and one green. The black and white lotus flowers had already bloomed, with two women standing in them. Huixin shouted, "I ask for your help, fellow Daoist."
After drinking, two women jumped down from the black and white lotus. One was a woman in a black Taoist robe with a cold and plain face, her hair tied up with a hairpin, and she held a sword upside down in her hand, the sword aura deep and cold. The other woman was dressed in a moon-white robe, her face showing a peaceful expression, and she held a banana leaf fan in her hand.
The two women lunged at Randeng. The woman in black (Zhihui Fairy) thrust her sword at Randeng, the sword flashing with a yellowish-brown hue and emanating a sinister aura. Randeng frowned, not daring to let her strike. Two beads appeared above his head, one black and one white, the Yin-Yang Beads that Randeng had snatched from Zhao Gongming. The Yin-Yang Beads surrounded Randeng, emitting a black and white aura that blocked Zhihui Fairy's sword.
