Although Nezha said so, Madam Yin did not believe him. In the past, Nezha would always come back from playing excitedly and tell her about what had happened. Today, however, he was acting out of character, which made Madam Yin suspicious. Madam Yin then found the servant who had gone out with him and asked him in detail. However, the servant had been instructed by Nezha, and since the young master had been beaten, they felt somewhat responsible and dared not tell Madam Yin the truth. They only said that the young master was tired from playing. Although Madam Yin was suspicious, she had no concrete evidence and simply let it go.
Nezha was born into a general's family and became a disciple of the immortal Taiyi Zhenren. He was favored by Lady Yin and spoiled, so he developed a bad temper. Today, he was humiliated and felt resentful, thinking about how to take revenge.
"That Third Prince Ao Bing is indeed formidable. I am no match for him, and I'm afraid even my father is no match for him. How can we avenge this humiliation? But today I suffered a great insult from Qi Chi, and I have no choice but to retaliate." After thinking for a long time, he still couldn't come up with a solution and could only feel sullen.
The next day, a Taoist priest came to the Li residence, claiming to be the Taiyi Zhenren. Madam Yin quickly welcomed him in. Seven years ago, the Taiyi Zhenren had promised to take Nezha up the mountain to cultivate. This matter made Madam Yin somewhat troubled, but since Li Jing was not present at the moment, she had no choice but to welcome the Taiyi Zhenren in first.
When Taiyi saw Lady Yin, he bowed and said, "I have come here to fulfill our promise and to take my disciple Nezha up the mountain to cultivate with me."
Madam Yin was somewhat reluctant, saying with difficulty, "Daoist, your timing is a bit unfortunate. My husband, Li Jing, has not yet returned. If you are taking Nezha up the mountain, you should at least say goodbye to his father."
Taiyi did not notice Lady Yin's reluctance, and only thought that this was how things should be, so he said, "It was my oversight. Well, I will come again another day." After saying that, he was about to leave.
Nezha had been racking his brains for days trying to figure out how to take revenge, but to no avail. This morning, he suddenly heard that his teacher, Taiyi Zhenren, had arrived. He secretly thought he had a plan and rushed over. But when he saw Taiyi Zhenren about to leave, he quickly ran over, knelt down, and bowed, saying, "Teacher, you've come! Your disciple has missed you so much." He then shed tears.
When Taiyi saw him like this, he asked in surprise: This child has never seen me before, so why is he talking about missing me? Although he was surprised, he said: A man does not easily shed tears. You will be following me to learn the Dao in the future. How can you achieve the Great Dao with such sentiments? Get up quickly.
Nezha was just putting on an act. What happened just now was something he did in a hurry. He didn't know Taiyi Zhenren. When he came here, he saw a person dressed as a Taoist. Since there were no Taoists in the Li family, he guessed that this Taoist was Taiyi Zhenren, and he was right.
When Taiyi Zhenren told him to get up, he still wanted to pretend, but Taiyi Zhenren waved his sleeve and an irresistible force lifted him up. He was surprised but also delighted, thinking to himself that his teacher was indeed powerful. If he learned this skill, he would not be afraid of not being able to take revenge.
Taiyi Zhenren said, "I originally came here to take you up the mountain to cultivate Taoism with me, but your mother, Madam Yin, said that your father is not here. Since you need to say goodbye to your father when you come up the mountain with me, as a matter of etiquette, I have decided to come again next time."
Upon hearing this, Nezha was furious. He had been thinking about revenge for the past few days, and now that he finally had a chance, how could he give it up? He quickly grabbed Taiyi Zhenren and said, "Teacher, don't go yet." He then said to Lady Yin, "Mother, you always taught me to be a person of integrity and to be a person of upright character and trustworthiness. Father promised Teacher that he would take me up the mountain to cultivate today, but how could he go back on his word? Father is a very trustworthy person. Even if Father knew about this, he would not agree to it. I will take Father as my role model and follow Teacher up the mountain to cultivate."
When Lady Yin heard Nezha say these words, she felt both happy and sad. She was happy that her child understood reason, but sad because of the deep bond between mother and son. How could she, as a mother, agree to let her child leave her? She was conflicted and speechless for a moment.
Seeing that Lady Yin hesitated, Nezha was afraid that she would disagree, so he said, "Mother, I am a man, and I should be a person who stands tall and upright. You don't want me to be a dishonest person, do you? I beg you, Mother, please let me go up the mountain with my teacher." After saying that, he grabbed Lady Yin's clothes and swung them back and forth.
Unable to bear it any longer, Madam Yin said helplessly, "In that case, you shall go up the mountain with the Taoist priest."
As soon as he finished speaking, Nezha jumped up with joy as if he had received a royal decree. Lady Yin felt sorry for him and knew that he was leaving. Although he would come back, she couldn't help but feel sad. She pulled him and said, "Nezha, the journey will be long. You must listen to your master and not be reckless. Follow your master and learn the Tao properly."
Nezha's purpose in going there was to learn Taoist magic so that he could take revenge in the future, so he naturally wouldn't be negligent. After listening to Lady Yin's words, he said solemnly, "I understand."
Lady Yin was heartbroken and kept giving Nezha some more instructions. Finally, seeing that Nezha was really getting impatient, she reluctantly let go and allowed the two of them to leave.
Nezha was very excited about this long journey. He followed Taiyi on his cloud ride, excitedly pointing and shouting at what was below. Taiyi Zhenren, also wanting to show off, proudly recounted his experiences in the prehistoric world.
They soon arrived at the Golden Light Cave. After Taiyi Zhenren led Nezha into the cave, he sat down and said to Nezha, "From now on, you will follow me to cultivate in this cave. Cultivation is like rowing against the current; you must not slack off." He then gave Nezha some Taoist techniques, all of which were parts of the Jade Purity Immortal Techniques.
Nezha was young and had never seen much of the world. When he received these magical arts, he found them very amazing and happily agreed, then went off to cultivate them on his own.
Half a year has passed. Although Nezha's cultivation period is not long, his cultivation level has reached the Celestial Immortal realm. In his previous life, he was a spiritual pearl in Nuwa's palace who transformed into human form and attained enlightenment. He was born with a magical treasure and had a profound foundation. Although he had not cultivated any profound Taoist techniques in his previous life, he had followed Nuwa for a long time and gained many benefits. After reincarnation, he received the help of the Jade Purity Technique and raised his cultivation level to the Celestial Immortal realm in less than half a year. This made him very excited and he felt that he was very powerful.
