After Cangjie left, Xuantian said, "Come out." As soon as he finished speaking, a ripple appeared in the void, revealing two figures, one dressed in a blue Taoist robe and the other in a red Taoist robe.

As soon as the two appeared, they knelt down and bowed to Xuan Tian, saying, "Su Yu (Jin Linzi) greets Master." They were none other than Daoist Su Yu and Daoist Jin Linzi.

Xuan Tian looked at the two of them and couldn't help but sigh. These two were exceptionally talented, and would be considered extraordinary talents anywhere, but they could only follow him, hiding behind him and remaining unknown.

After thinking for a moment, Xuan Tian said to the two of them, "You two have been following me for quite a few years now, haven't you?"

Su Yu said, "It has been three hundred years since I took human form." Jin Linzi also said, "I have only been following you, Master, for a little over 1.5 million years."

Upon hearing this, Xuan Tian's mind became even more confused. Years ago, when he first descended the mountain after transforming into human form, he encountered Su Yu, who was still a piece of jade. At that time, Su Yu had only just awakened its sentience. Xuan Tian hadn't encountered a sentient being for many years, and being engrossed in the thrill of treasure hunting, he took Su Yu with him until she later transformed into human form. It could be said that Su Yu was almost like his own child.

But as his father, all he could do was let him live in darkness.

"You two won't blame me, will you?" Xuan Tian asked in a somewhat dejected tone.

Upon hearing this, the two were greatly alarmed and prostrated themselves on the ground, both saying they dared not.

Xuan Tian looked at them, waved his hand to help them up, and said, "Actually, with your talents, you two would become overlords anywhere. It's just that you've been with me for so many years, yet you've always lived in the shadows and never shown yourselves to anyone. It's a bit of a waste."

Upon hearing this, the two understood their teacher's meaning. Su Yu and Jin Linzi exchanged a glance and said to Xuan Tian, "We disciples have no regrets."

Su Yu said, "If it weren't for Master taking me under his wing and teaching me the Dao back then, I'm afraid I wouldn't have achieved what I have today."

Jin Linzi said, "If it weren't for your rescue back then, I would have perished long ago and turned to ashes. How could I have achieved what I have today?" After thinking for a moment, he added, "Furthermore, even with my cultivation level, I would be nothing more than an ant in the prehistoric world. There are so many saints above me who could crush us with a single finger. It would be better to follow behind you, Master."

He also understood that Xuan Tian was doing this to protect them. Indeed, with their limited cultivation, they would only be big ants in the prehistoric world. They would be helpless against a sage and would basically die. He was telling the truth.

Xuan Tian chuckled and said, "What you said is true. The reason I didn't let you two out before was because of your cultivation level. Although it seemed alright, the prehistoric world was very chaotic back then, and there were many experts. You two were really not good enough."

He paused for a moment and then said, "I know you two want to go out for a walk. Fine, I'll grant your request today."

Su Yu and the other woman were shocked to hear this, thinking that Xuan Tian was going to expel them from the mountain gate, and they quickly apologized.

Xuan Tian looked at the two of them in surprise, not knowing whether to laugh or cry. Was he really that fierce? He smiled and said, "How did I ever say I was going to kick you two off the island?"

The two looked at Xuan Tian in confusion. Su Yu said, "Our teacher once said that if we disciples left the island without permission, we would be expelled from the sect."

Xuan Tian thought about it and realized he had indeed said that before. He then said, "But it was I who told you to leave the island."

The two exchanged a glance and quickly bowed in gratitude.

Xuan Tian looked at them, chuckled, and said, "Now that you two are leaving the island, I need to give you some protective magic treasures. I didn't give them to you before because you didn't go out, and it would have been a waste to give them to you. Now I'm giving them to you so that you will have weapons to protect yourselves in the future."

"Alright," Xuan Tian said, taking out a seal and a spear and handing them to Jin Linzi. "This seal is the Panlong Seal, a primordial spiritual treasure with twenty-nine layers of restrictions. Half of it was originally in the hands of your junior brother Cangjie. This item will be of great use to you two. You will know this in the future." He then took out the spear and said, "This spear is called the Rift of Heaven, an acquired spiritual treasure with twenty-eight layers of restrictions. It does have some power. You can take it and use it."

He then took out a pagoda and a fan, and said to Su Yu, "This pagoda is called the White Elephant Pagoda, an acquired spiritual treasure with twenty-seven layers of restrictions. This fan is an innate spiritual treasure with thirty layers of restrictions, and is called the Mountain and River Fan. You can use it." After saying that, he handed the two items to Su Yu.

The two took the items and examined them carefully. Xuan Tian smiled and said, "You two should refine the magic treasures on the island before leaving. There are many conflicts among the creatures outside the island, so be careful."

After thanking Xuan Tian, the two took the magic weapon and excitedly went back to refine it.

Regardless of the two, Xuantian summoned Cangjie and said, "When Dao Ancestor Hongjun transformed into the Heavenly Dao, he said, 'There are three thousand Great Daos, each leading to the ultimate realm.' Later, guided by their respective paths to enlightenment, Laozi taught 'purity and non-action,' Yuanshi Tianzun taught 'spreading and glorifying,' Tongtian Jiaozhu taught 'destruction and reconstruction,' and Jieyin and Zhunti taught 'Western Paradise.' As disciples of Dao Ancestor, the five saints naturally expressed their own views on the Heavenly Dao."

He paused, then continued, “Yuanshi Tianzun’s Chan Sect ‘spreads and glorifies’ follows the Heavenly Way in everything, but has no original insights; Tongtian Jiaozhu’s Jie Sect ‘destroys and then establishes,’ aiming to cut off the slightest gap in the operation of the Heavenly Way, but inevitably goes to extremes; Jieyin and Zhunti’s Western Buddhism, ‘Western Paradise,’ is self-enclosed, how can it flourish in the world? Taishang Laojun, as the first disciple of Daozu Hongjun, has the merit of ‘one breath transforming into three pure ones,’ and is closest to Daozu’s Heavenly Way. Dao is ‘pure and inactive,’ but in reality, it acknowledges the laws of development under the Heavenly Way, ‘survival of the fittest,’ and maintains the continuous operation of the Heavenly Way. However, everyone is born different. If we allow ‘the strong to prey on the weak,’ wouldn’t that negate the efforts of all living beings after birth?”
