The tall figure faced him, raising his greatsword, intending to end it all.
The sky was wailing, and the wind and rain were howling. The air suddenly turned cold, and the air pressure seemed to contract and gather in one direction.
An even greater anomaly than the one encountered a moment before was enough to make Kaireser stop moving.
The churning, dark clouds and the imminent lightning and thunder—all ominous signs—foreshadowed the imminent arrival of the true ruler of the demon race.
A series of stray lightning bolts struck the ground, pounding the hard stone floor atop the tower, sending debris flying and churning. Mixed within this violent force was a suffocating atmosphere, plummeting to freezing temperatures.
"Who are you……"
"Successor of Eliviel, do you still remember the first prophecy? I have awakened in response to the Emblem of Time and have come here specifically to meet the hero chosen by the Emblem of Time."
The torrential rain in the sky seemed to have been corrupted by the icy energy, gradually condensing into thousands of ice flowers as sharp as blades, which swirled and blew towards the earth and towards the very top of the Tower of Reversal.
An unprecedented icy storm swept across this high-altitude battlefield.
Faced with the flying, sharp ice shards, Kareser used his arm to shield his face.
Under the Demon Lord's control, everything possessing the attribute of cold—whether it be wind, snow, ice, or rain—is merely a plaything in his hands, a weapon to attack his enemies.
Kaireser was already struggling to catch the Demon Lord's Ice Storm, and couldn't even find a chance to counterattack.
He barely opened his eyes, the greatsword in his hand gleaming with silver light, sweeping away the attacking object. In that brief moment when his vision cleared slightly, Kaiser glared at the Demon Lord.
What truly terrified him was the Demon Lord's ice mask, forged from Netherflame. Its shape, swaying and wildly burning like flames, was most majestic when it solidified in its most twisted state.
To overcome the unnecessary fear that arose from within, Kareser raised his sword, steadied himself, and then launched a surprise attack, unleashing a lightning-fast dash forward.
But he was completely unaware of the sinister smile hidden beneath the Demon Lord's mask.
Facing the flowing ice flowers against the current, the Demon Lord remained calm and unwavering, placing his right hand on the hilt of the sword at his left waist.
When Kael'thas got closer enough to notice the dangerous prelude, it was too late for regrets. The holy sword in his hand still obeyed its master's command, charging forward fearlessly.
That was a sharp, head-on sword strike aimed directly at Kaireiser.
The shockwave generated by the sword and imbued with the magical aura of ice spread swiftly in all directions, leaving no blind spots. Not only was Kaiser thrown back by the shockwave, but even the surrounding tiled pillars shattered instantly. The top of the Tower of Reversal also collapsed halfway due to this sword strike.
Keller was seriously injured and collapsed on the ground, unable to move.
The holy sword had already left his hand and was now embedded diagonally in the stone wall.
The Demon Lord revealed a slightly disappointed expression beneath his mask, lamenting that Silverwing's combat strength was not what it used to be.
While deep in thought, he casually waved his hand, and the scattered ice flowers around him quickly condensed into an ice shield to block the attack from the left.
Unexpectedly, the ice shield shattered instantly upon being struck by the flames. The Demon Lord glanced to his left in surprise and saw Philsa holding an ice-flame sword that had fully manifested its fiery phantom form, pointing it directly at the Demon Lord.
The two, both demons, exchanged a cold stare.
"Why are you helping humans? Don't you know that the blood of demons flows in your veins?"
The Demon Lord angrily rebuked Philsa, feeling extremely disappointed by the killing of his own kind.
The demon lord was unusually angry, using a rebuking tone, which suggests that the boy was definitely involved with the demon lord.
In the last second before he was fully conscious, Keller thought this.
Philsa dismissed the Demon Lord's questioning with a sneer, "Who are you? My hatred for demons is a hundred times stronger than the demon blood within me!"
As he spoke of these things, the Fiery Phantom in his hand burned fiercely, echoing its master's rage.
"Felsa, I am extremely disappointed in you. The bloodline that the demon race is so proud of is not comparable to the level of hatred you feel."
Remember my name—Fred Danlithell. When we meet again, I hope you will return to the Demon Race and join my ranks, becoming one of the "Sages."
“Danlithell? That surname… who exactly are you…”
Just as Philsa was about to press for more information, he was abruptly interrupted by a deep, old man's voice coming from afar.
"You actually want this brat to become one of our 'Six Sages'? Demon Lord, aren't you joking?"
From the sky, a bolt of dark lightning struck behind Fred, revealing the powerful figure of an old man with white hair. He scoffed at the Demon Lord's "joke" and laughed exaggeratedly.
"This is the 'Sage' that the Demon Lord just mentioned?" Philsa dared not let his guard down, gripping the Flame Sword in his hand with maximum force.
Suddenly, a fireball fell to the ground. A burly young man, his limbs ablaze with pure flames, emerged from it, his face filled with intense killing intent.
"Seeing that dim fire phantom in your hand is truly an insult to us messengers of fire."
The other four "Six Sages" arrived shortly afterward, but none of them paid any attention to such a weak enemy as Felsa.
Therefore, he didn't say much, but simply hid his figure behind the Demon Lord's cloak.
"My demon generals, have you awakened as well?"
"A mere cross-shaped magic-sealing array is nothing. If it weren't for that guy who called himself a paladin attacking me from behind..." The old man, with his muscular build, couldn't help but cough and bend over halfway through his sentence.
