The Giant Spirit God was also a straightforward person. Hearing what Ao Bing said, he thought they were one of his own, so he asked, "Avoiding disaster? What disaster are you avoiding? What are you complaining about?" He asked casually and did not wait for Ao Bing's answer.
Ao Bing was just waiting for him to ask. Upon hearing the Giant Spirit God's words, he immediately staged a grand drama with himself as the protagonist at the South Heavenly Gate. Ao Bing squeezed his eyes, his nose tingled, and tears fell. He cried out, "I was originally the Third Prince of the East Sea Dragon, a Water God appointed by the Heavenly Court, in charge of controlling clouds and rain to protect the peace of the human race. Recently, Nezha, the third son of Li Jing of Chentang Pass in the human world, killed my East Sea patrol yaksha and defeated him. I thought he was just a naughty child and didn't hold it against him, only giving him a slight punishment. I didn't expect this child to be so arrogant. After returning, he somehow obtained some treasures and his cultivation greatly improved. He then came to my East Sea to cause trouble again, killing more than a million of my East Sea creatures. As the leader of the water tribe, I fought with him, but he ambushed me and injured me. This child is narrow-minded and wants to kill me. He chased me all the way, so I fled to the Heavenly Court."
Ao Bing cried as he recounted the events. He didn't alter the story much, because that's how it was, he was in the right, and he wasn't afraid of anyone reversing his story.
After hearing what Ao Bing said, the Giant Spirit God was furious and said, "There is such a naughty child in the mortal world? This is too much." He paused and said, "Brother, you go in first and complain to His Majesty. Leave this to me. I will capture this boy and hand him over to you for punishment later."
Ao Bing had been waiting for these words. Upon hearing the Giant Spirit God's reply, he was overjoyed and said, "In that case, I'll have to trouble you, brother. Today, things are urgent, so I'll make do for now. I'll definitely treat you to a drink another day."
The Giant Spirit God was also a heavy drinker. When he heard that Ao Bing wanted to treat him to a drink, he was very happy and said with a smile, "Of course, of course, I'll be waiting for you to treat me to a drink, brother."
Ao Bing smiled and said, "Definitely, definitely." As he spoke, he walked inside.
The thirty-third Nezha angrily strikes the Southern Heavenly Gate
Meanwhile, Ao Bing had pleased the Giant Spirit God and entered the Southern Heavenly Gate. Not long after he entered, Nezha also arrived.
Nezha happened to arrive just in time. Seeing that Ao Bing was about to go in, he shouted, "You mudfish, stop! Fight me for another three hundred rounds, and I'll definitely tear your tendons and skin off!"
In the past, if he had been scolded like this, Ao Bing would have been provoked into fighting him. But this time, Ao Bing ignored him completely and walked straight inside. Nezha was anxious, so he also rushed inside, but was stopped by the Giant Spirit God.
The Giant Spirit God roared, "You naughty child, you are indeed unruly and incompetent! That Third Prince Ao Bing is a Water God appointed by the Heavenly Court. How can you kill him at will? Furthermore, this is an important place of the Heavenly Court. Without the permission of a celestial being, no one is allowed to enter without authorization. How dare you, you monster, trespass into the South Heavenly Gate?"
The giant spirit god's words about being a monster angered Nezha. He was born with a peculiar appearance, resembling a ball of flesh. Although his father, Li Jing, didn't say anything, he was somewhat displeased with this son. Even others would occasionally laugh at him for being a monster. Today, the giant spirit god's words had reopened his wounds, so how could he not be angry?
Nezha, wielding his spear, thrust it at the Giant Spirit God, saying, "You savage, how dare you insult me! I'll beat you to a pulp today!" He then raised his spear and thrust it at the Giant Spirit God.
The Giant Spirit God was startled by the shot. He hadn't expected Nezha to attack him so suddenly, especially right here at the South Gate of Heaven, a place of great importance in Heaven. He was, after all, a righteous god of Heaven, how could he let a little brat like Nezha hit him? Wouldn't that be a loss of face for him? The Giant Spirit God also raised his axe and began to fight Nezha.
The two were at it again, ready to fight. The reason the Jade Emperor valued the Giant Spirit and placed him as a guard at the Southern Heavenly Gate was twofold: firstly, Heaven was short-handed at the time, and secondly, the Giant Spirit was quite capable. Despite his imposing and massive size, the Giant Spirit was surprisingly agile and incredibly strong, managing to fight Nezha to a standstill for a time.
The two fought for quite a while, and Nezha was really frustrated today. Ever since he received the Taoist teachings from Taiyi, he had always thought of himself as a master, the only one in the world who could defeat anyone except his master. But today he encountered two enemies in a row. First, there was Ao Bing, whom he was no match for and only managed to win with the help of the Qiankun Ring. Now he encountered a giant spirit god. He seemed to be huge and thought he would be clumsy, but he didn't expect that this person was as slippery as an eel, on par with him, and incredibly strong. Every time the axe came down, his hand would go numb from the impact. He was truly frustrated to the end.
Nezha was also anxious. He knew that Ao Bing had gone inside, and he was afraid that if Ao Bing brought helpers, he would be in trouble. But the giant spirit was still clinging to him and he couldn't leave. He was furious and his mind raced. He remembered that he had obtained the bow and arrow a few days ago, but he hadn't used it yet and didn't know how powerful it was. Now that the giant spirit was clinging to him, he decided to get rid of the giant spirit first, so that it would be easier for him to go in or leave.
After thinking it over, Nezha took out the Heaven-Shaking Bow and the Universe Arrow, nocked the arrow, and used all his strength to draw the bow like a full moon, shooting it at the Giant Spirit God.
The Giant Spirit God had noticed Nezha taking out his bow and arrow long ago. Seeing the golden light flowing on the arrow, he knew it was extraordinary. After Nezha shot the arrow, a golden light pierced through the air. Even though the Giant Spirit God noticed it, he didn't have time to dodge. He only moved slightly to avoid a fatal blow. The Qiankun Arrow pierced straight through the Giant Spirit God's left arm and continued its momentum, shooting straight at the South Heavenly Gate. With a loud bang, the Qiankun Arrow collided with the South Heavenly Gate, exploding in a burst of golden light and destroying the South Heavenly Gate. The Giant Spirit God's left arm was also ruined, leaving only half of it. He cried out in pain.
Now, Ao Bing, after entering the Heavenly Court, went straight to the Lingxiao Palace. Haotian was talking to a guest, who was none other than Taiyi Zhenren. After Ao Bing informed the guards, he entered the palace, bowed to Haotian, and said, "Ao Bing, the Righteous God of the Eastern Water Department, pays respects to the Jade Emperor and the Great Emperor of the North Pole Ziwei."
