Yun Zhongzi Exorcises Demons

When Marquis Jiang Hengchu of Dongbo heard someone say that his daughter was a monster, he was furious. Pointing at the speaker, he cursed, "How dare you, you scoundrel, deceive my daughter and me! My daughter, Jiang, married into the palace many years ago and is known for her virtue. How could she be a monster? It is clearly that scoundrel Yun Zhongzi who punished the wicked and killed her. How dare you implicate my daughter in such an unjust way?" Yin Hong and Yin Jiao were also enraged. They jumped out to hit the speaker, cursing, "If my mother is a monster, then aren't my brother and I monsters too? You scoundrel, you must be in cahoots with Yun Zhongzi!" The speaker was so frightened that he broke out in a cold sweat. He secretly slapped himself, thinking, "Why can't I control my mouth? I blurted it out in a moment of carelessness."

The people around him looked at him as if he were dead, thinking that this reckless fellow had caused another disaster. In fact, many people had suspicions, but no one was stupid enough to say it out loud.

King Zhou, enraged by the chaotic scene below, slammed his hand on his dragon throne, making the golden armrests vibrate loudly. He roared, "Insolence! The court is a place for deliberation. What kind of decorum is this, with all this noise and commotion? All of you, step back!" At King Zhou's command, everyone had no choice but to stand in their places. Although King Zhou's condition had not been good recently, his accumulated power over the years still made the ministers uncomfortable, and they dared not act recklessly.

King Zhou glanced at the man who had called Queen Jiang a demon, his gaze making the man tremble. He then said, "Queen Jiang is virtuous and has lived with me for many years. If she were a demon, how could I not know? As for Daji, everyone present knew her when she entered the court; how could she be hidden from everyone? This matter should not be mentioned again." The officials below nodded in agreement. King Zhou continued, "Only the matter of Yun Zhongzi's murder still needs investigation, but Yun Zhongzi's murder of Queen Jiang is a vengeance that must be avenged. King Wucheng!" King Wucheng, Huang Feihu, stepped forward. "This humble general is here. I order you to take 50,000 Imperial Guards to seal off Chaoge and, without fail, arrest Yun Zhongzi." King Zhou waved his hand triumphantly.

"This subordinate obeys the order." Now, Yun Zhongzi, after presenting the sword, stayed in Chaoge. He originally planned to wait for King Zhou to personally welcome him to court after the demon was eliminated, so that he could also spread the teachings of the Chan Sect. However, three days passed without any news. This amount of time was nothing to a cultivator, but in Yun Zhongzi's opinion, the demon must be quite powerful, as it had not been eliminated in three days.

On the fourth day, Yun Zhongzi finally couldn't wait any longer and went out to see what was going on. But as soon as he stepped onto the street, he saw portraits plastered all over the place. Yun Zhongzi looked and saw that it was his own portrait. He was shocked. Then he saw that it read, "The villain Yun Zhongzi murdered Queen Jiang." Yun Zhongzi was horrified. How could he have killed Queen Jiang? Looking around more closely, he saw that everyone on the street was dressed in mourning clothes and looked furious.

Queen Jiang was renowned for her virtue in Chaoge, and the people of Chaoge praised her highly, referring to her and Daji as the "Two Queens of Chaoge." After Queen Jiang's death, the people of Chaoge learned that it was Yun Zhongzi who had committed the crime, and they were immediately filled with indignation, spontaneously donning mourning clothes to show their grief.

Just as Yun Zhongzi was surprised, a troop of Imperial Guards passed by. Suddenly, they saw a Taoist priest watching from the street. After the incident, all the Taoist priests in Chaoge were being investigated. Upon seeing that Yun Zhongzi looked exactly like the one in the portrait, the leader of the troops immediately shouted, "The thief is here! Quickly seize him and avenge Queen Jiang!" In an instant, a troop of soldiers rushed forward to surround and kill Yun Zhongzi. When the surrounding people heard about it, they also rushed forward to capture him, and shouts and curses filled the air.

Yun Zhongzi felt extremely embarrassed as he watched a group of people rushing towards him. He didn't know why, but seeing their angry expressions, he knew the situation was bad. These were just mortals, and he couldn't fight them, so he simply blocked their path without attacking, while explaining to them.

Yun Zhongzi was a Golden Immortal, so even if he let these soldiers attack him, it wouldn't matter. The soldiers were furious when they couldn't break through his defenses, and when they heard Yun Zhongzi's rambling, they became even angrier.

Before long, more soldiers rushed over, led by Huang Feihu. After learning of Yun Zhongzi's whereabouts, Huang Feihu hurried over. He had learned some martial arts from Wen Zhong and knew that his soldiers couldn't do anything to Yun Zhongzi, so he called a group of Jiejiao cultivators to come.

Huang Feihu shouted, "Traitor, take this!" and charged forward to seize Yun Zhongzi.

Meanwhile, the dozen or so Jie Sect cultivators each unleashed their spells and magical treasures to attack Yun Zhongzi. For a moment, the sky was filled with dazzling, colorful spells, which were quite a sight to behold.

Although Yun Zhongzi was not afraid of these mortals and cultivators, he was also afraid of trouble. Seeing them attacking, he was furious. He took out a small yellow flag, which was his imitation of the Jade Void Apricot Yellow Flag. He threw it into the air, blocking the attack. Then he raised his foot and created a cloud, and flew away on the cloud.

Unable to catch up, Huang Feihu and his men had no choice but to retreat and report back to King Zhou.

Upon hearing the report, King Zhou flew into a rage, slamming his fist on the table and smashing it. He then issued a decree: "Issue a nationwide proclamation! The cultivators of the Chan Sect are plotting to usurp the throne and rebel. The treacherous Yun Zhongzi has schemed to murder Queen Jiang, the mother of the king. The members of the Chan Sect are truly demons and evil beings. The Chan Sect is hereby declared an evil cult. Wherever members of the Chan Sect are discovered, they must be eradicated with all their might. A great reward will be given for even one or two who are captured." With this decree, the Chan Sect was instantly reduced to a pariah, hated by everyone.

Twenty-eighth King Wen returned to Xiqi

Meanwhile, Ji Chang, the Marquis of Xiqi, was imprisoned. Later, King Zhou retaliated by turning Bo Yikao into meat patties and feeding him to him. After that, Daji entered the palace. A series of events occurred, causing King Zhou to forget about Ji Chang's existence.

As for Ji Fa, he had already returned to Xiqi from Chaoge after Ji Chang set off, making preparations while keeping an eye on news from Chaoge.
