Bixiao scoffed, "I'd like to see if you can break this formation with your transformation techniques. Hurry up and examine the formation before we bet on the outcome!" Yang Jian, though furious, suppressed his anger and escorted Ziya to examine the formation diagram. Upon arriving at the formation, a small plaque hung above the entrance, inscribed "Nine-Bend Yellow River Formation." There were only five or six hundred soldiers. Their banners were five-colored. As the saying goes: "The formation stretches across heaven and earth, its power swaying like the Yellow River. A chilling wind blows, its chilling aura intrudes; black mist pervades, obscuring the sun and moon. Vast and boundless, shrouded in darkness. A chilling aura soars to the heavens, a dark haze blankets the earth. Even a thousand years of cultivation is but a painted cake; your spirit is broken, your strength diminished, even if you escape countless calamities, you will still stumble. As the saying goes: Even immortals cannot reach it, they must extinguish the three flowers on their heads; even if Buddha were to face calamity, he would extinguish the five qi in his chest. Encountering this formation, calamity is inescapable; how can a true immortal hide when faced with it?"
After examining the formation, Jiang Ziya returned to see Yunxiao. Yunxiao smiled and asked, "Fellow Daoist Ziya, do you recognize this formation?" Ziya sighed, "Fellow Daoist, it's clearly written here; why ask whether you recognize it or not?" Bixiao shouted at Yang Jian, "Let's see if your transformation techniques can break it!" It turned out that Yang Jian's actions during yesterday's battle had offended Bixiao, which was why she was constantly causing him trouble today. Alas, women are not to be trifled with!
Yang Jian puffed out his chest and laughed, "How could I not break it? I'll break it myself!" He then spurred his horse and charged forward with his spear. Qiongxiao, atop a swan, met him with her sword. Before they had exchanged more than a few blows, Qiongxiao unleashed the Hunyuan Golden Cauldron. Although Yang Jian knew the cauldron's power, he only saw a golden light that sucked him inside and hurled him into the "Yellow River Formation." "Don't worry: all seventy-two transformations are useless; how can you escape the calamity within the 'Yellow River Formation'!"
Now, Jinzha, seeing that Yang Jian had been captured, roared, "Why did you, a heretic, capture my brother!" and drew his sword to take him away. Qiongxiao, holding her precious sword, came to meet him. Jinzha summoned the Dragon-Binding Stake. Yunxiao laughed, "This is but a small thing!" Holding a golden goblet in her hand, she pointed with her middle finger, and the Dragon-Binding Stake fell into the goblet. She then used the golden goblet to capture Jinzha and threw him into the "Yellow River Formation." This goblet was indeed capable of containing the entire universe and the four seas, allowing all treasures to be collected.
Having seen his elder brother captured, Muzha cried out, "What sorcery does that witch possess that dares to deceive my brother!" This young boy, swaggering like a wolf, brandished his sword fiercely and swung it at Qiongxiao. Qiongxiao hastily parried. Before three exchanges were complete, Muzha swayed his shoulder, and his Wu Hook sword rose into the air. Qiongxiao, seeing this, laughed, "Don't say the Wu Hook isn't a treasure; even a treasure like it can't harm me!" Qiongxiao waved her hand, and the sword fell into the bucket. Qiongxiao then unleashed the Golden Bucket; Muzha couldn't dodge in time, and a golden light swept him away, sending him crashing into the "Yellow River Formation." Seeing that the others had entered, Qiongxiao summoned her Azure Phoenix, its wings outstretched, and flew straight for Ziya. Ziya, seeing his three disciples captured, was terrified. He hastily parried Qiongxiao's sword, but before several exchanges were complete, Qiongxiao unleashed the Hunyuan Golden Bucket to capture him. Ziya quickly unfurled his Apricot Yellow Banner. The banner shimmered with golden flowers, holding the Golden Bucket in mid-air, forcing it to tumble and tumble, unable to fall. Ziya returned to his thatched hut in defeat and met with Guangchengzi and the others. Guangchengzi said, "Although this treasure is powerful, it is not unbreakable. Let us go and break it." After saying this, he led the Twelve Golden Immortals of the Chan Sect away.
The Three Immortals of Sanxiao were in front of the camp when they saw the Twelve Golden Immortals of the Chan Sect arrive, but Randeng was missing. Qiongxiao called out, "Why didn't that old thief Randeng come? Is he afraid of us? Is he afraid that even if he came, he would be captured by us?"
Upon hearing this, Chi Jingzi shouted, "Stop your nonsense! Fellow Daoist Qiongxiao, your arrival today will inevitably land you on the 'Investiture of the Gods' list." He moved lightly, sword in hand, and charged forward. Qiongxiao's expression changed upon hearing this, and he charged straight at him with his sword. Instantly, the members of the Chan Sect clashed with the Three Immortals and others. Before Qiongxiao and Chi Jingzi had exchanged more than a few blows, Yunxiao raised the Hunyuan Golden Cauldron, and a golden light, like lightning, shot forth, capturing Chi Jingzi and throwing him into the "Yellow River Formation." He fell inside, seemingly in a daze, and immediately sealed his Niwan Palace on the top of his head. Alas, a thousand years of cultivation, all the hardship he had endured, all for this great calamity at the age of 1,550, encountering this battle, trapped in the formation—even a god would be of no use to him.
Seeing Qiongxiao acting so fiercely, Guangchengzi shouted, "Yunxiao, don't underestimate us! You have disgraced the immortals of Chandao and rely on the unorthodox methods of Biyou Palace!" After saying that, he summoned the Fantian Seal and smashed it at the Hunyuan Golden Bucket. In an instant, the two treasures fought each other.
Suddenly, a loud shout rang out from the horizon, "Witch, cease your arrogance! Behold my magic weapon!" It was none other than Lu Ya. Knowing that he had worshipped Zhao Gongming to death, if anyone from the Chan Sect were to suffer misfortune today, he would likely fare much worse. So, taking advantage of the fight between Yunxiao and Guangchengzi, he rushed over, took out a gourd, and retrieved the "Slaying Flying Knife." Inside the gourd was a ray of light, more than three zhang high; above it appeared an object, seven inches long, with eyebrows and eyes; two beams of white light from its eyes shone down, aiming to strike Yunxiao's Niwan Palace.
But then someone shouted, "Lu Ya Daojun, this move is probably inappropriate. It would be better if you fought me." It was Cang Jie. He hadn't been seen making a move in the past few days, but seeing that Yunxiao was about to launch a sneak attack for Lu Ya, he quickly stepped in to help. Cang Jie held the Spring and Autumn Reincarnation Brush and casually flicked it, sending a beam of white light towards Lu Ya. Lu Ya didn't take it seriously and took the hit head-on. However, after the white light hit him, a suction force was naturally generated, seemingly trying to pull his primordial spirit out. He quickly circulated his primordial spirit to resist the suction force, and seeing that Cang Jie was about to attack again, he quickly dodged.
Lu Ya was a three-legged golden crow, and his speed was incredibly fast. Cang Jie could never hit him with his attacks, but Lu Ya was not having an easy time either. Every time Cang Jie saw him stop, he would point a finger at him, making Lu Ya dare not stop. Although the Immortal-Slaying Flying Knife was powerful, it was too slow to be used. He had to dodge Cang Jie's attacks before he could use it, which made him quite frustrated.
Seeing Lu Ya blocked by Cangjie, and Guang Chengzi's Fan Tian Seal blocking the Hunyuan Golden Cauldron, Yunxiao frowned and said, "Guang Chengzi, even if you are the first immortal to strike the golden bell in Yuxu Palace, you will not escape danger if you encounter my treasure." Guang Chengzi laughed and said, "I have already broken the precepts, how can I escape danger? It must be due to past causes, how can I defy the will of Heaven? Now I am under the precept against killing, what is the use of regret!" He drew his sword to attack. Yunxiao drew his sword to meet him. Yunxiao, being a Great Luo Golden Immortal, would never be defeated by Guangchengzi, a Great Luo True Immortal. Moreover, the Jie Sect members possessed far greater magical power than the Chan Sect members. After several exchanges, Guangchengzi's magical power began to wane. He had to support the power consumed by the Fantian Seal while simultaneously fighting Yunxiao, making him no match for Yunxiao. Taking advantage of Guangchengzi's weakened state, Yunxiao launched a sudden attack. The Hunyuan Golden Cauldron absorbed the Fantian Seal, and with a flick of its wrist, the golden cauldron shone brightly, obscuring the view, and also captured Guangchengzi into the "Yellow River Formation," just as it had with Chijingzi. This Hunyuan Golden Cauldron was precisely what the disciples of the Yuxu Sect were destined to have their three flowers on their heads removed; such was the will of Heaven, and it would naturally arrive at the appointed time, capturing all the Yuxu disciples into the "Yellow River Formation," closing their Heavenly Gate, and causing them to lose their Dao fruits. They would only need to wait for Ziya to confer the divine titles, then restore their Dao fruits and return to their original state. This was the will of Heaven.
