Let's work together and take care of it quickly.
At the same time, my grandfather and I exchanged a glance, both feeling that we should strike first.
Grandpa raised the peach wood sword in his hand again and took out another piece of yellow paper from his pocket. I couldn't help but wonder how many talismans Grandpa carried with him.
However, he didn't press the matter further by asking his grandfather under these circumstances. Instead, he quickly sensed the energy within his body and gathered it in his hand.
In an instant, I felt a tremendous force coming from my arm, and a sense of pride arose within me. This punch would shatter that three-headed dog into pieces.
At this moment, Grandpa seemed to have finished preparing as well, and the yellow paper was directly pasted onto the peach wood sword.
With Grandpa's command, "Slay the Demon!" the yellow paper pasted on the sword suddenly sprouted countless veins and took root directly on the sword, and a red light flashed instantly.
Grandpa also became extremely serious at this moment. His originally hunched body seemed to straighten up a lot, and then he slashed down fiercely at one of the three-headed dogs' heads.
At that moment, I didn't just watch. I gathered my energy and threw a punch at the wolf's head, which was already half rotten.
In an instant, a tremendous aura, along with the energy within my fist, exploded from my fist, forming a black energy ball that shot straight toward the rotting wolf's head.
Grandpa's red sword light arrived swiftly, slashing fiercely at the scarlet wolf's head.
In an instant, a tremendous amount of energy exploded from the vortex, and the entire canyon seemed to shake violently, as if it could collapse at any moment.
After the energy dissipated, only one of the three wolf heads remained. The scarlet wolf head was cleanly severed, leaving a clean gash. The wolf head fell to the ground, and black blood flowed from the gash.
A tremendous, agonizing roar came from the wolf's head in the middle, while the already rotting half of the head was even more pitiful. With a single punch from me, even the rotten flesh disappeared, and the entire head was blasted into ashes.
After that punch, my face turned pale. That punch used up most of my strength, and I couldn't stand up straight. It took a lot of effort to keep from falling to the ground.
This annoyed me a bit. Actually, it's not my fault. I'm practically a brute now, all that strength I have, but I don't know how to use it.
Therefore, they could only use all their strength without any fighting skills.
Even so, I was somewhat pleased to see that the rotting wolf head was instantly reduced to ashes by my blast. After all, I could now actually use some of the energy, unlike before when it was completely useless.
On the contrary, Grandpa seemed to be handling it with ease. With a single, effortless strike, he sliced off the red wolf's head.
"Are you alright? You've been too reckless!" Grandpa asked quickly when he saw that I seemed to be struggling.
Shui Yanling also looked over with a worried expression. In order to hide her aura, she couldn't help at all.
"It's alright," I chuckled at Grandpa and Shui Yanling, then looked again at the three-headed dog that now only had one wolf head left.
Oh, no, it can't be called Cerberus anymore, I thought to myself with a secret delight.
After losing two wolf heads, it stared at us fiercely, seemingly extremely angry, but its body was stuck in the whirlpool and could only let out violent howls.
Seeing it like this, I felt even happier. My grandfather and I nodded, and just as we were about to deliver the final blow and destroy its last wolf head, a fierce roar suddenly came from that wolf head.
Caught off guard, I felt dizzy, as if someone had hit me on the back of the head.
Shui Yanling immediately covered her ears, her face turning pale. The sound seemed to have penetrating power, attacking her very soul.
For some reason, the wolf's head kept roaring, causing the ground to crack open in many places, so we had to take a few more steps back.
Grandpa swayed upon hearing the sound, as if it possessed great power.
But Grandpa quickly realized something was wrong and shouted, "Oh no!"
Hearing my grandfather's voice, I forced myself to hold it in and looked over.
Then they discovered that even the vortex seemed to be constantly flickering amidst the wolf's cry.
What happened next was even more astonishing. We saw that the gaps where my grandfather and I had destroyed the two wolf heads were slowly wriggling, and then two more wolf heads exactly the same as the originals formed from there.
Chapter Seventy-Seven: No Turning Back
"What's going on? This Cerberus actually has the ability to regenerate?" Shui Yanling couldn't help but ask when she saw this.
At this moment, the wolf's head in the middle finally stopped howling, seemingly somewhat exhausted, but its body did not relax at all, and it continued to stretch outwards. Now, most of its body had escaped.
Grandpa's face darkened at the sight, and he said, "No, it must be the power of the wolf head in the middle! It seems that the wolf head in the middle is the core. If we don't defeat the wolf head in the middle, they will probably keep regenerating."
Hearing Grandpa's words made me feel a little sad. We finally managed to kill those two wolf heads, and now they've come out again.
