Yuanshi said, "These are all from the Jie Sect, not a single one of them possesses the necessary foundation and cultivation. They are all without the fortune to cultivate, and deserve this calamity. It is truly lamentable!" Then, a canopy and banners waved, and four Daoists emerged. How so? A poem testifies: Riding a tiger, they climbed mountains to observe cranes and deer, driving away evil and capturing monsters, causing gods and ghosts to weep. Because they lacked the fortune to be among the immortals, they were beheaded and relegated to the rank of Female Earth Bat. Auspicious light and five-colored aura emanated from their heads, encompassing all things with great cleverness. Without the destiny or affinity to attain enlightenment, they were beheaded and relegated to the rank of Stomach Earth Pheasant. They possessed unique methods for gathering and refining Yin and Yang, combining the Five Elements with the central yellow. They did not return to the Chan Sect but to the Jie Sect, and were beheaded and relegated to the rank of Willow Earth. With red hair and a red beard, their nature was wicked, and they roamed the Three Mountains and Five Sacred Peaks. Their efforts to encompass all things were in vain, and they were beheaded and relegated to the rank of Fiend Earth.
The four leaders, Yuanshi and Laozi, together with the Western Master, said, "Look at these people, they have the name of immortals, but not the bones of immortals. How can they be worthy of cultivating the Dao!" As the four masters were discussing, a gate opened, and four more Daoists entered. How so? A poem testifies: "Cultivating the Great Dao is truly elegant, but the wondrous methods and mysteries have true and false aspects. Unable to attain the Dao, they remain in the mortal world, slaying generals and bestowing upon them the title of Star Horse. How can the iron tree bloom in unison? The Yin spirits revel, riding rainbows. Only because they lack the fortune to be immortal companions, slaying generals and bestowing upon them the title of Pleiades Rooster. Their faces are as blue as indigo, majestic and imposing, their red hair and golden eyes fierce as tigers. Their ability to summon wind and rain is extraordinary, slaying generals and bestowing upon them the title of Void Sun Rat. The Samadhi True Fire reveals itself in the sky, its radiant light spreading a hundred paces before and after. Displaying heroism within the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation, slaying generals and bestowing upon them the title of Room Sun Rabbit."
The Tongtian Sect Leader summoned seven pairs of disciples from the formation, unfurling a plain white banner. Beneath the banner emerged four Daoist priests, fierce and menacing, each wielding a square mace. How so? A poem testifies: "His Daoist arts are unparalleled, his cultivation of truth and refinement of nature wields military might. He possesses the secrets of longevity, yet he slays generals and is bestowed the title of Bi Yue Wu. His hair is like sand, his face like indigo, his entire body radiating golden light. The mysteries of heaven are beyond words, he slays generals and is bestowed the title of Wei Yue Yan. His face is like a red date, his beard like a shaving bean, his ability to create soldiers is unparalleled. His feet move like lightning, he slays generals and is bestowed the title of Xin Yue Hu. His inner secrets are cultivated through the sixty-four hexagrams, refining yin and yang to transcend the mortal realm. Who knew that the five elements had not yet converged, he slays generals and is bestowed the title of Zhang Yue Lu."
The Tongtian Sect Leader summoned the Nine Luminaries and Twenty-Eight Constellations, assigning them their positions. There, twenty-eight Daoist priests, neatly arranged, circled left and right, emerging in a dense, menacing array. Amidst the flying crimson clouds and purple lightning, some densely packed, others fierce and unyielding, a truly terrifying and menacing sight! (To find out what happens next, grab your votes!)
Sixty-three Thousand Immortal Formation (5)
The Tongtian Sect Leader led his immortals to the front of the battle. Laozi said, "Today I will decide the victor with you. At that time, all the immortals will suffer. This will be a punishment for your indecisiveness."
The Tongtian Sect Leader roared, "You four, watch how I'll do this time!" He then spurred his Kui Ox and charged forward with his sword. Laozi laughed, "I knew your performance today would be limited to this! But you can't escape this calamity!" He spurred his Green Ox, raised his flat staff, and hastily parried the attack. Yuanshi Tianzun addressed his disciples, "Today you have all fulfilled this vow. You must all enter the formation together to meet the Ten Thousand Immortals of the Jie Sect. Do not miss this opportunity." Upon hearing this, the disciples cheered and shouted, charging into the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation.
Manjushri Bodhisattva rode a lion, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva rode a white elephant, and Cihang Daoist rode a golden-haired monk: the three great bodhisattvas each manifested their incarnations and charged in. Lingbao Dafashi arrived with his sword, Taiyi Zhenren entered the formation with his precious file, and Julusun, Huanglong Zhenren, Yunzhongzi, and Randeng Daoist all rushed towards the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation. Behind them, Jiang Ziya and his disciples, including Nezha, also shouted, "We will break the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation today to see its true form!" Before they finished speaking, Lu Ya Daoist flew in from the sky and crashed into the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation to join the battle. This great battle was truly a place where all calamities would ultimately end, and only through the destruction of the immortals could fate be saved.
Laozi rode his green ox, leaping and bounding; the Tongtian Sect Leader rode his Kui ox, fiercely attacking. The three great masters spurred the green lion, elephant, and...; the Golden Spirit Mother wielded her flying sword. The Lingbao Grand Master's face burned with rage; the Wudang Mother's anger soared to the sky. The Taiyi Zhenren stirred his inner samadhi; the Pilu Immortal also displayed his supernatural powers. The Moral True Lord came to complete his killing spree; Yun Zhongzi's sword shone like a rainbow. Ju Liusun unleashed the Immortal Binding Rope; the Golden Hoop Immortal attacked with his flying sword. Jade chimes rang out in the formation, golden bells resounded below the platform. Clouds of smoke rose everywhere, and a fierce wind howled from all directions. Everyone knew the Three Eliminations and Five Escapes, and everyone understood how to overturn seas and move peaks. Sword against sword, red light gleamed; soldiers faced treasures, auspicious energy emanated. Thunder rumbled from the ground, and lightning crashed in the sky.
Jiang Ziya, acting on divine command, led a campaign against the invaders. His disciples, each eager to prove themselves, wielded their halberds like flying dragons; Jinzha leaped forward; Muzha charged with his sword; Wei Hu raised his demon-subduing pestle; Nezha rode his Wind-Fire Wheels, each claiming supremacy; Lei Zhenzi, with two wings, soared through the air; Yang Ren wielded his Five-Fire Fan, fanning the wind. Such weapons could not withstand their sharpness; in a mere moment, they slew the Twenty-Eight Mansions, and in an instant, the Nine Luminaries vanished.
Meanwhile, the Tongtian Sect Leader was blocked by Laozi and Yuanshi Tianzun. Riding on the Kui Niu, he wielded the Qingping Sword, its movements swift and powerful, engaging the two sages in a battle that shook the heavens and earth. Laozi, protected by the Xuanhuang Pagoda, wielded a flat cane, which, though not particularly sharp, was cunning and targeted every point the Sect Leader could not reach. Yuanshi Tianzun, holding a jade ruyi, fought back and forth, focusing solely on blocking the attacks of the Qingping Sword. For a time, the three sages were trapped together, locked in a fierce and chaotic battle.
The Western guide, Zhunti, had long anticipated the opportunity. He held his Qiankun Bag in the air, and whether you were destined to meet someone or not, they were all taken into his bag. In an instant, three thousand worldly travelers were all collected into his bag. The clouds were heavy with sorrow and the fog was thick; soon, the land was shrouded in darkness and hardship.
Laozi and Yuanshi rushed into the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation, trapping Tongtian Jiaozhu. Jinling Shengmu was surrounded by the three great Bodhisattvas. The three Bodhisattvas had faces of blue, red, and white, and sometimes appeared with three heads and six arms, sometimes with eight heads and six arms, and sometimes with three heads and eight arms. Their bodies were protected by golden lamps, white lotuses, precious pearls, necklaces, and radiant light. Jinling Shengmu used her jade ruyi to parry the three Bodhisattvas for a long time, but she accidentally dropped her golden crown to the dust and let her hair down. As she fought with her hair down, she encountered the Daoist Ran Deng, who used the Dinghai Pearl to strike. It seemed that he was about to kill Jinling Shengmu, who was unable to defend herself. However, a string of golden characters flew from the sky. The characters seemed to be so fragile that they could be broken with a breath, but they were able to block the Dinghai Pearl. Ran Deng was surprised and looked up to see a Daoist standing in mid-air, wearing a blue robe, with a long black tuft of hair behind his head, holding a golden pen, and riding on auspicious five-colored clouds.
