Fuxi abdicated in favor of Shennong

But his troops were now in complete disarray; how could they possibly listen to him? To become an official? They'd have to be willing to die for it. The soldiers scattered and fled, terrified by the Jiuli soldiers and killing anyone they saw, regardless of whether they were on their side.

Seeing that Bo Yi was still roaring, Chi You strode forward and charged straight at him, slashing down with his demonic blade, a blood-stained blade aimed directly at Bo Yi. Bo Yi, who cultivated the Jade Purity Immortal Technique and possessed the cultivation of a Taiyi Loose Immortal, was greatly alarmed by Chi You's attack. He could no longer care about his soldiers and tried to escape on a cloud, but was blocked by Jiu Feng. Jiu Feng's flying speed was even faster than that of an ordinary Da Luo Golden Immortal, so how could he escape? He was immediately spat out by Jiu Feng, clothes and all, without even his primordial spirit escaping.

Seeing their commander, a superhuman enemy, devoured alive by the Nine-Phoenix, leaving not even a corpse behind, the soldiers below were filled with terror. They wished they had more legs to run faster. The entire human army quickly collapsed. The battle was essentially a massacre by the Nine-Li soldiers. In a short time, after a count, it was found that the Nine-Li army had killed over 900,000 enemy soldiers in this battle. Only a few thousand escaped; the rest were either devoured alive by the Nine-Phoenix or trampled into mincemeat by Chi You.

Fifty-two Guang Chengzi stepped forward

Meanwhile, Xuanyuan appointed Bo Yi, Tian Feng, and Xiang Lu as his generals, and led three armies, each with a million soldiers, to attack Chi You. However, Chi You used a stratagem to kill them all, leaving only a few thousand survivors. A group of defeated soldiers fled back to Chen County.

In Chen County, Xuanyuan was handling official business. These past few days, he had been feeling restless and uneasy, always sensing that something was about to happen. However, his calculations yielded no results. Xuanyuan was very uneasy. Suddenly, a soldier came to report that three armies had returned. Xuanyuan hurriedly got up and went out.

When Xuanyuan saw the supposedly three armies returning, his vision suddenly went black, and he swayed precariously. Those around him quickly supported him, and it took a long time for Xuanyuan to regain his balance. His lips trembled as he uttered a series of inhuman sounds. His face was ashen, like that of a corpse, staring at the "three armies" before him. Each soldier was torn, their clothes tattered, their faces ashen, covered in blood, and most still wore expressions of extreme terror, as if terrified by something horrific. Xuanyuan stared at them one by one, then suddenly, like a madman, he rushed towards a returning soldier, frantically grabbing the soldier's already tattered collar and shaking him violently, roaring, "What happened? What happened? Where are my three armies? Where is Bo Yi? Where is Tian Feng? Where is Xiang Lu? Where have they gone?"

The soldier was also terrified by Xuanyuan's terrifying appearance. He was already somewhat stunned by Chiyou's terrifying figure, and when he saw Xuanyuan's furious appearance, he suddenly went mad, foaming at the mouth, trembling uncontrollably, and fell to the ground. After moving a few times, he died.

This amused Xuanyuan. His soldiers were terrified of him, but it also calmed him down. After all, he was one of the three sovereigns of Heaven, Earth, and Man, and his quality was quite good. Seeing that the soldiers in front of him were all in a daze, he knew that he wouldn't get any results from them now. So he ordered his men to prepare food and lodging, settle them down first, and ask them questions after they had rested. Although he was anxious, he had no choice but to do so.

Early the next morning, Xuanyuan couldn't wait to find the soldiers. Although they had rested overnight, most of them had not yet recovered. Finally, Xuanyuan found an older veteran and learned what had happened.

Bo Yi, Tian Feng, and Xiang Lu launched a three-pronged attack, each vying for credit and competing with each other in marching speed, which exhausted their army. Chi You then used a stratagem to spread out the three armies and defeat them one by one. First, taking advantage of Xiang Lu's eagerness to make a name for himself, he slaughtered all of Xiang Lu's army. Then, he ambushed and attacked Tian Feng's army from both sides, annihilating them. Finally, he concentrated his forces of over 1.9 million to eliminate Bo Yi. Thus, the three armies were completely wiped out.

Xuanyuan listened to the whole story with unusual calmness, without showing any anger or sadness. However, his calmness made everyone around him feel a chill. Such calmness in this situation was like the prelude to a storm, not a good omen.

As expected, after returning to his residence, Xuanyuan closed the door and stayed inside alone. A short while later, a loud roar erupted from within, accompanied by the sounds of things being smashed and broken. No one dared to go in and intervene, lest they become accomplices. Soon after Xuanyuan locked himself up, the entire Chen County knew what had happened. Truly, good news doesn't travel far, but bad news travels fast. The entire Chen County was shrouded in a shadow, deathly still.

When Guang Chengzi heard that the three armies had returned, he initially thought Bo Yi and his men had achieved great merit. However, upon learning that only a few thousand men remained, he realized the gravity of the situation. He later discovered that Bo Yi and his companions had been too eager for glory and had been recklessly advanced, leading to their being outmaneuvered by Chi You of the Jiuli tribe and annihilated. Guang Chengzi broke out in a cold sweat, his heart filled with hatred for Bo Yi and his two companions, wishing he could tear them to pieces. This was a major disaster! Of the three million soldiers in the three armies, only a few thousand had escaped. Now the entire city knew that Bo Yi and his companions were responsible for this tragedy, and that they were cultivators of the Chan Sect. This was disastrous; the direct impact of this event would be a crisis of faith for the Chan Sect among the human race.

This matter has blown up, and Guang Chengzi dares not return to Kunlun Mountain to face Yuanshi. If he goes back now, Yuanshi might blame him, and his position as Imperial Tutor would be over. He had strongly recommended Bo Yi and the other two, and now that they've gotten into this mess, he has to deal with it himself. Thinking of this, Guang Chengzi felt an intense hatred for Chi You and the Jiuli tribe.

At that moment, Guang Chengzi did not notify anyone and went into the Jiuli tribe alone. Of course, his courage was commendable, but his method was not good. Sometimes, it must be said that Guang Chengzi was very impulsive.
