Where the lightning struck, everything was pitch black, leaving a large hole in the floor of the carriage, through which the ground was visible. The entire carriage looked like a candle flickering in the wind, dilapidated and seemingly on the verge of collapsing at any moment.
Although this lightning bolt was far inferior to a tribulation lightning bolt, it was still lightning. This was only the result of Shi Long's best efforts to restrain himself. If he had allowed the "Nine Heavens Divine Lightning" he had summoned to strike down directly, not to mention this carriage, most of the train and the people on it would probably have been turned to ashes.
This is the power of the Nine Heavens Divine Thunder. After Shui Yanling regained her senses, she was surprised to see the stone dragon kneeling on the ground. Although she knew he was very strong from the beginning, she was really surprised that he could summon such a huge bolt of heavenly thunder.
Legend has it that the Nine Heavens Divine Thunder is the embodiment of lightning tribulation, the most powerful and yang thing in the world, and has an innate suppressive effect on ghosts and demons. Ordinary little ghosts can be directly destroyed by ordinary thunderstorms, let alone this kind of heavenly thunder.
However, Shui Yanling is a thousand-year-old vengeful ghost. With a thousand years of cultivation and her own rich ghostly aura, this incomplete Nine Heavens Divine Thunder, while somewhat suppressing her, could not possibly defeat her.
However, it still aroused a deep sense of apprehension in her heart. She wondered if she should just stop looking for trouble with him. If Shi Long knew what Shui Yanling was thinking at this moment, he would probably be both amused and exasperated. His current situation was indeed not good. He could not fully control the Nine Heavens Divine Thunder and had to keep it under tight control, otherwise he would accidentally hurt others.
If the situation hadn't been so dire at the beginning, and if Shui Yanling and Meili had fallen into depravity, along with that ghostly man, he probably would have perished here today.
Shui Yanling looked back at me and found that I was alright, just unconscious. Then she turned to look at the dark, charred ghost that had been blasted by lightning.
Shi Long wiped the blood off his body, then stood up and stared coldly at the dark ghost.
Chapter Thirty-Six: Motionless
Struck directly by the lightning, the demon was in a miserable state, his entire body emitting black smoke, his green scales blasted open, and lightning flashing from time to time from the wounds.
Even one of the demon horns on his head was blown off, and he lay there motionless.
However, neither Shi Long nor Shui Yanling let their guard down. They were unsure of the Ghost Man's strength, but they could tell from the black smoke that appeared at the beginning.
Suddenly, the ghost's heart began to pound violently, with a sound like thunder. Then, the wounds on the ghost's body began to heal slowly.
Seeing this, Shi Long and Shui Yanling both tensed up; this ghost was indeed not so easy to kill.
Shi Long's dragon-like muscles trembled violently, and lightning flashed all over his body once again. Shui Yanling also revealed her true face after a sudden burst of aura. Clumps of black mist swirled around her long hair that could have fallen to the ground, which fluttered in the air.
His eyes turned icy cold, and his aura suddenly became incredibly powerful, causing Shi Long, who was standing to the side, to twitch involuntarily.
He couldn't help but wonder if Shui Yanling could withstand the full force of the Nine Heavens Divine Lightning, but he quickly shook his head as soon as the thought crossed his mind.
Things have gotten out of hand. If we don't eliminate this monster quickly, there's fear we'll cause even more chaos.
The sound of the ghost's heartbeat grew louder and louder, causing both Shi Long and Shui Yanling to tense up.
After Fang Shuang shattered the bead, this entire area seemed to be encased in a barrier, protecting everything within it and isolating the senses of ordinary people in these carriages. Otherwise, someone would have noticed when the lightning struck.
This was also a form of protection, to prevent ordinary people from being accidentally injured in the fight with that ghost. However, he did not expect that it was not an ordinary ghost, but a legendary ghost-man.
After being struck by thunder, the barrier became even more precarious, constantly on the verge of crumbling due to the energy fluctuations from their battle.
Shi Long and Shui Yanling exchanged a glance, and then, taking advantage of the ghost's inability to recover, they quickly made their move.
Shi Long spread his arms and charged towards the ghost lying on the ground, while Shui Yanling flashed and appeared directly behind the ghost.
The two arrived in an instant, and then they saw Shi Long's thunderous punch smash directly into the ghost's chest, creating a deep crater the size of a fist.
Just as the ghost was about to fly backward after being hit by the stone dragon, Shui Yanling stretched out her ghost claws from behind the ghost and grabbed at its back, leaving five deep finger marks. Then the ghost fell forward again and knelt on the ground.
At this moment, the ghost seemed to come back to life. Its pounding heart suddenly stopped beating. Then, the ghost suddenly erupted, its hands covered in green scales waving violently, and two eerie ghostly energies rushed towards Shui Yanling and Shi Long.
The sudden turn of events caught the two off guard. Shi Long's arms moved with lightning speed, and he directly blocked in front of him, knocking him back.
Shui Yanling did not choose to take the blow head-on. She dodged it with a flash, and the ghostly energy struck the carriage, leaving a large mark inside.
"You beast!" Shi Long roared, swinging one arm as lightning surged forth. He then threw a punch at the ghost, unleashing a powerful bolt of lightning that hurtled towards the ghost.
