[5 The End of the Primordial Era: The Consecration of Gods]
Chapter 153, Section 133: The Majesty of Kongming and the Mandate of Heavenly Wind
Zhu Yuyan, her eyes alluring, said in a soft, seductive voice, "Fellow Daoist Zhuge, now that King Zhou of Shang has lost his way, why do you three aid him in his evil ways? King Yue of Eastern Zhou is virtuous in both literature and martial arts, and the people of the world all submit to him. Why don't you three join my King Yue of Eastern Zhou? I believe my king will certainly value you all. Why don't you three follow my King Yue to conquer the world, establish unparalleled achievements, and leave your names for posterity?"
Zhuge Liang snorted coldly and said indifferently, "Hmph, ignorant witch! When my five brothers and I descended the mountain, I promised my master that I wouldn't let any of my four junior brothers lose a single hair. You dared to injure my second and third junior brothers, and even tried to kill them. Fortunately, my two junior brothers were protected by our sect, which allowed them to escape. However, danger must be nipped in the bud." He paused, glanced disdainfully at the four of them, and said indifferently, "Who wants to go first?"
Upon hearing this, Zhu Yuyan flew into a rage, let out a sharp cry, and suddenly a ten-foot-long jet of dark light shot out from her right hand and slashed down.
Zhuge Liang smiled faintly, gently waved the precious fan in his hand that shimmered with five-colored light, and said disdainfully, "This is but a minor skill, fellow Daoist, please do not show off."
Zhu Yuyan was shocked to see that Zhuge Liang, a mere Golden Immortal, had easily broken her quasi-Saint level attack with a wave of his hand. She carefully examined Zhuge Liang again, thinking to herself, "That's right, just a Golden Immortal." Suddenly, her divine sense swept over the fan in Zhuge Liang's hand, which emitted a faint five-colored light. She was immediately shocked and exclaimed, "A treasure of acquired merit! It's actually a treasure of acquired merit!" She examined the fan again, which was shimmering with five-colored light. She saw that it had only five solitary feathers, which were blue, yellow, red, black, and white. She was terrified and her face turned pale as she cried out, "What is your connection with the Primordial Saint Kong Xuan? Could it be that you are disciples of the Heavenly Venerable Kong Xuan?"
Zhuge Liang tilted his head and pondered for a long time before saying indifferently, "Kong Xuan Tianzun, don't you recognize him? The precious fan in my hand was bestowed upon me by my teacher. It turns out to be a treasure of acquired merit, on par with innate treasures. My teacher has been very kind to me." As he spoke, his expression was full of gratitude.
Zhu Yuyan was taken aback upon hearing this, and said directly, "Kong Xuan Tianzun's true form is a peacock in the world. He is the eldest disciple of the Great Sage Equaling Heaven, whose destiny is to be established. His tail feathers have five feathers about a foot long, which are blue, yellow, red, black and white. It is said that after Kong Xuan Tianzun became a disciple, the five-colored feathers behind him were refined by the Great Sage Equaling Heaven into a treasure fan called the Five-Colored Feather Fan, which is a treasure of acquired merit."
Zhuge Liang was taken aback, then suddenly burst into laughter: "The Five-Colored Feather Fan! This is indeed the Five-Colored Feather Fan in my hand! Could it be that Celestial Venerable Kong Xuan is the master of our five fellow disciples?" He then asked urgently, "Fairy Zhu, do you know where Celestial Venerable Kong Xuan's sacred site is?"
Zhu Yuyan was greatly embarrassed upon hearing this, and said blankly, "How could a mere quasi-saint like me make a judgment about the sacred site of a sage?"
Zhuge Liang laughed heartily, his expression returning to its usual calm and composed demeanor. He slowly said, "Very well, since Fairy Zhu has informed our four fellow disciples, I will not harm you. You may now depart."
Duan Lang listened to Zhuge Liang's eloquent speech, his expression full of disdain, and was immediately enraged. He shouted, "Fellow Daoist Zhuge, although you possess a treasure of acquired merit, you are merely a minor Golden Immortal. Even with the aid of such a treasure, what can you do to us?"
Zhuge Liang glanced at Duan Lang indifferently and said disdainfully, "You can try." As he spoke, he gently fanned himself with his five-colored feather fan, and a black light flashed, sweeping straight towards the Fire Scale Sword on Duan Lang's back.
With a flick of his wrist, Zhuge Liang sheathed Duan Lang's weapon, then looked at Duan Lang with disdain in his eyes. Zhuge Liang flicked his right hand, a black light flashed, and a crimson sword fell to the ground—it was Duan Lang's Fire Scale Sword.
Zhuge Liang looked at the four panicked people and smiled faintly. He waved his treasure fan repeatedly, and five divine lights of green, yellow, red, black and white appeared one after another. The five divine lights connected end to end and formed a light shield that emitted five-colored divine light. It directly trapped Zhu Yuyan, Bu Jingyun, Nie Feng and Duan Lang and imprisoned the four people's magical power and cultivation.
Zhuge Liang looked at the four people calmly and said slowly, "The Five-Colored Feather Fan is a treasure of acquired merit. It can be used to destroy innate magic treasures. It contains a five-colored space and cannot be broken by anyone other than a quasi-saint holding a treasure." After speaking, he gently shook the fan and gave the four people their freedom.
Zhu Yuyan smiled sadly, a hint of sorrow in her beautiful eyes, and said, "Fellow Daoist Zhuge, what a wonderful magic weapon! I admire it."
Zhuge Liang smiled elegantly and said, "Not at all, Fairy Zhu, you flatter me. I merely borrowed the power of this treasure; how could I compare to you four fellow Daoists?"
Just as Zhu Yuyan was about to speak, a beam of azure light shot down from the sky and landed on her palm. Her divine sense probed into it, and her expression suddenly changed drastically. She hurriedly said "Forgive me" and then sent a telepathic message to her three junior brothers, who rode auspicious clouds and flew swiftly towards the southern sky.
In the far south, at the Heavenly Wind Dojo of the Primordial Saint, at the ends of the earth.
In the Heavenly Wind Sacred Hall, the eight disciples of Heavenly Wind gathered together. The eldest disciple, Huang Chang, looked at his seven junior brothers and sisters and said in a deep voice, “Seven junior brothers and sisters, a day ago, I received a message from our master via jade talisman. Our master said: Today is a great calamity of heaven and earth. Those who have not yet achieved quasi-sainthood are all caught in the calamity. Even those who have achieved quasi-sainthood will perish if they are not careful. I saved your lives in this peril and have accepted you as my personal disciples. If I were to perish, the saints would be scheming against me.” You all risk being listed on the Investiture of the Gods. Therefore, rather than becoming gods on that list, it would be better to retreat to the mountains and forests, and spread your teachings after the great calamity. In this way, we might meet again after millions of years. Now that I have perished, you eight disciples should go into seclusion. Take Boyi Kao with you; they are all my disciples. How could I bear to let you perish? Go, go into seclusion, and spread my great teachings after the great calamity. We will meet again after millions of years.
