Tianzui conjured a grand chair and stared silently at Pangu's face for a long time before slowly saying, "Fellow Daoist Pangu, you have encountered an immense opportunity, and the supreme Dao is within reach. How joyous! Protector of the Dao, Pangu. Let bygones be bygones, shall we?"
Upon hearing this, Sheng Yi's expression changed, and a long, hazy blue light suddenly shot from his eyes. He looked at Tian Zui with great confusion, and after a long while, he slowly said, "Fellow Daoist, why?"
Tianzui chuckled lightly and said, "Fellow Daoist, you and I were both born from chaos. I was instructed by the Great Dao to control heaven and earth. The Great Dao is impartial, and as the Heavenly Dao, I cannot have any emotions or consciousness. The Heavenly Dao is simply heaven, formless and without substance. My cultivation will not improve in the slightest; I will always remain in the Heavenly Dao stage. Under the Heavenly Dao, the Great Sage Equaling Heaven is an anomaly. It is precisely because of the appearance of this anomaly that Pangu was able to create heaven and earth without perishing, and that I, whose body merged with heaven and earth, was able to solidify into a physical form. You gave me freedom, but you also shattered my Heavenly Dao body, causing me to lose absolute control over heaven and earth, and altering the general trend of the Heavenly Dao."
Tens of millions of years ago, I schemed against the Great Sage Equaling Heaven, sealing his avatar on a planet called Earth at the other end of time and space with the Chaos Treasure, the Heavenly Dao Pearl. Not long ago, Fellow Daoist Lu Ya created his own lineage of Loose Immortals, transcended the Dao Tribulation, obtained the One that had escaped, and attained the Supreme Dao, becoming an ultimate being akin to the Heavenly Dao. The Heavenly Dao Pearl, piercing through time and space, automatically chose its master, becoming Fellow Daoist Lu Ya's treasure. The Great Sage Equaling Heaven's avatar is also about to break free of its seal and return to Earth. Although I schemed against you first, your appearance was not permitted, as the Dao itself decreed. Tens of millions of years later, you and the Great Sage Equaling Heaven schemed against me, shattering my true form—another cause and effect; sealing the Great Sage Equaling Heaven's avatar is also a cause and effect. Can these two causes and effects be offset?”
Saint One laughed heartily and said, "Good."
After a pause, Tianzui continued, "As for your disciple Tianming's shattered holy body, although I intervened, it was the will of Heaven, which cannot be changed by human power. Although Tianming's holy body was shattered, the Great Sage Equaling Heaven used the innate treasure, the Twenty-Fourth Grade Doomsday Blood Lotus, to rebuild his golden body and make him the master of the Netherworld. This cause and effect can be offset."
Saint Yi's eyes flashed with divine light, and after a long while, he said calmly, "Good, now our karma has been resolved."
Upon hearing this, Tianzui chuckled and said, "Fellow Daoist, now that Lu Ya has attained enlightenment, the Great Dao has issued a decree: nine sages will be appointed to balance and perfect the Heavenly Dao. In this great calamity of the Investiture of the Gods, even sages may perish. Among you, me, Hongjun, Lu Ya, and the Heavenly Dao, how will the nine sages of the world be divided?"
Saint One said loudly, "Fellow Daoist, please wait a moment. Let me summon Dao Venerables Hongjun and Lu Ya before we discuss this further, shall we?"
Tianzui said, "Good."
Half a moment later, the two Dao Venerables, Hongjun and Lu Ya, arrived together.
Tian Zui glanced at the three of them indifferently and said directly, "Fellow Daoist Lu Ya, you have attained the Supreme Dao. The Dao has issued a decree: Since Pangu created the world, the saints have been dull-witted and have not thought about the Dao. Therefore, there are only nine saints in the world to check and balance the Dao. Do you three have any objections?"
Hongjun Daozun, with his eyes slightly closed, said calmly, "In this world, I founded the Xuanmen lineage and am the supreme master of Xuanmen. Under my tutelage are the seven sages: Taishang, Yuanshi, Tongtian, Jieyin, Zhunti, Nuwa, and Tianfeng. I will take Taishang and Yuanshi to suppress the fortune of my Xuanmen. What do you three fellow Daoists think?"
Saint One, Heavenly Sin, and Lu Ya all praised it as good.
Tianzui said, "I am Tianzui Daozun, wielding the Heavenly Punishment Blood Eye and controlling the rewards and punishments of all things. Therefore, I established the Heavenly Punishment Sect. Fellow Daoist Saint, your disciple Zhen Yizhang Tianjie is destined to be my second disciple. I wish to take Wutian and Zhen Yi to suppress my Heavenly Punishment Sect. Is that permissible?"
Hongjun, Shengyi, and Luya all praised the action.
Saint One glanced at Lu Ya indifferently and said directly, "Although I do not establish a great sect, my virtuous brother's eldest disciple Kong Xuan established the 'Heavenly Mandate' sect. Therefore, my sect is also called the Heavenly Mandate sect, with Zhen Yuan and Tong Tian as saints, to suppress the fortune of my Heavenly Mandate sect."
Lu Ya bowed to Hongjun, Tianzui, and Sheng Yi and said, "Fellow Daoists, Lu Ya greets you. I founded the Loose Immortal lineage and now establish the Loose Immortal Sect, with Jieyin and Zhunti as my two disciples to suppress the fortune of my Loose Immortal lineage."
Seeing that all the Dao Venerables had chosen their disciples, Hongjun said calmly, "The Nine Sages of the Heavenly Dao will each rely on their own destiny, is that acceptable?"
All three Daoist masters praised it as good.
Saint Yi said, "Under the Heavenly Dao, there should be nine realms: the Mortal Realm, the Cultivation Realm, the Immortal Realm, the Demon Realm, the Monster Realm, the Witch Realm, the Buddhist Realm, the Netherworld Ghost Realm, and the Heavenly Realm. Each of these nine realms should have a realm lord, and each can be chosen based on their own destiny."
The three Daoist masters all said, "Good."
The four Dao Venerables established the Nine Saints and the Nine Realms, but little did they know that since the origin had changed, was everything still within the Heavenly Dao?

Bo Yikao of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty appointed Jiang Ziya as his military advisor and Bu Jingyun, Nie Feng, and Duan Lang as generals, leading an army of 300,000 to launch a strong attack on Huaishui City, attempting to break through Huaishui City and march straight to Chaoge.
The Shang Dynasty generals Zhao Yun and Lü Bu led 100,000 soldiers to the Huai River region to block the Eastern Zhou army.
Jiang Ziya sat at the head of the table, looking at the three Great Luo Golden Immortals, Bu Jingyun, Nie Feng, and Duan Lang, with a joyful expression. He said with a smile, "My three senior brothers, the new garrison commanders of Huai River City are Zhao Yun and Lü Bu.
