Hairy-legged girl immediately ran away, and only when she felt a warmth did she realize it was his clothes. I wanted to lift my head, but I had no strength left.

"Don't move." His voice was devoid of any emotion.

His hand cradled half of my cheek, and suddenly a whooshing sound filled my ears—the sound of bricks shattering. His hand, gripping the round hoop, slammed heavily onto the ground.

"Bear with it."

The pain of my wrist, the pain of my skin being forcibly torn open, the pain of my bones being dislocated, all rushed through my body in an instant, making it almost impossible for me to breathe.

He held me in his arms, so gently for the first time. And for the first time, I forgot to struggle.

He was trembling slightly, his whole body tense and stiff; I could sense his helplessness. His back was covered in wounds, each one causing him excruciating pain, and he dared not touch them.

I shook my head vigorously, hoping he would understand that it didn't hurt. This was, after all, the Ghost Realm's territory, and he was a military commander; we couldn't stay here long.

He finally lifted me up, and I turned my head and buried my face in his chest so that he wouldn't see my expression.

It hurts, how could it not hurt?

“Big guy…” he said in a low voice, as if afraid of startling me.

There was no reply, but everyone already understood.

He's beyond saving. A sword piercing his abdomen would be an extremely painful death, a pain more agonizing than death itself.

Stepping outside, the wind was very cold.

He used his free hand to cover my head with his clothes, being careful not to touch the injury on the back of my head.

“General…” someone reminded him from behind. He didn’t speak, but simply lifted me up with one hand and drew his sword again with his right.

This is a trap.

That person wasn't Basiljiyu, and this isn't a place where one can come and go as they please. Everything was designed to lure him here. He must have known that, yet he still came.

"It's alright, we'll leave right away." His voice was almost a whisper.

The piercing sound of swords clashing filled my ears again. I closed my eyes tightly, not wanting to see or hear anything. I had already seen far too much blood today.

"General!" someone shouted. He trembled, took a few steps back, and then there was the sound of swords clashing again.

The blade scraped against flesh and bones, the sound strange and muffled.

After a long, long time, the surroundings returned to silence, and the wind outside his clothes grew stronger.

Suddenly, the wind stopped, and the lights flickered. There was a soft touch beneath me. In my palm, it felt like fur.

I looked up at him, and his gaze sent a chill down my spine.

It hurts, an indescribable pain.

His hand gently touched my wrist, and with just that one touch, I broke out in a sweat again.

"Doctor...no, Mr. Xu. Quickly, please call Mr. Xu!" he roared.

When Fu Xi entered, he squinted, as if trying to hide something, but clearly, he couldn't hide anything.

"Young Master Jimo, please leave first." His voice sounded like he was gritting his teeth.

Jimo remained unmoved, as if he hadn't heard a thing.

"Young Master Jimo, get out!" He had lost his usual composure, and his demeanor reminded me of Yazi and the Dragon Prince. I felt that this was not a joke.

Ji Mo got up, but didn't leave, stubbornly staring at him.

“If you don’t leave, I will definitely not save you.” Fu Xi said, and then turned to walk out, but looking into his eyes, I knew he wouldn’t leave.

Ji Mo paused, looked at me, and finally left. After lowering the curtain, Fu Xi sat down on the edge of the bed, but hesitated to make a move.

"Did Qiuniu say something to you?"

I nodded slightly. Did that count as saying anything? Just a few names.

He sighed: "Perhaps I won't be able to walk this road with you in the future. Take good care of Jimo, and take good care of yourself too."

I looked at him, wanting to ask something, but his expression clearly left me no room for maneuver.

“Qiuniu and Yazi will also leave, so be careful. Basiljiyu is no ordinary person.” He finally placed his hand on my arm, warm but not painful. “This is all I can do for you. These wounds, and the wounds that follow, you will have to heal slowly on your own.”

I nodded. He leaned down, but froze in mid-air, only able to whisper, "Go back to the Zhifu Spirit Realm as soon as possible. I'm waiting to drink your tea."

His arm was wrapped in layers of gauze, but the pain of broken bones had subsided. He got up and left the tent. Ji Mo immediately came in, carrying a bottle of medicine that Fu Xi had given him earlier.

“Mr. Xu said this medicine should be applied to your back.” He turned around, pulled out a dagger, and carefully bent down to cut open the clothes on my back. So much time had passed that the layers of fabric had become stained with blood and flesh. He frowned and tugged lightly, and I bit my lip hard, forcing myself not to cry out, but my body still trembled uncontrollably.

His hand suddenly stopped. I turned to look at him, but he lifted me up and placed me against his chest. I felt something wet under his hand. Before I could ask anything, he spoke: "If it hurts, don't bear it. Don't hurt yourself anymore. If you don't want to make a sound, bite me."

I shook my head. He gave a slight smile and said casually, "If it weren't for me, Basiljiyu wouldn't have hurt you like this. Why are you being so polite with me? If you keep acting like this, I will definitely marry you in the future."

Others might find it laughable, but to me, it only makes me feel pathetic.

I could only gently hold his shoulder in my mouth. His hand moved swiftly, and the sudden, sharp pain made me bite down hard. I couldn't catch my breath and almost fainted.

"Bear with it. Mr. Xu instructed that such a deep wound must be stitched up to heal..." He couldn't bear to continue.

Suture? How can you suture these wounds that are so numerous?

He poured out the medicine from the bottle, sprinkled it gently on the wound, and said, "This medicine can relieve pain. It's okay, I'm quick."
