From Bai Qi's roar to his breaking of the Eight Trigrams and Five Elements Formation, though the story is long, it all happened in an instant. Of the thirteen generals, only one was dead and two were wounded in the blink of an eye. Gou Chen couldn't help but feel great grief, and the remaining generals were even more heartbroken. Gou Chen shouted, "Set up the Seven Stars and Four Symbols Formation!"
Bai Qi, of course, wouldn't foolishly wait for them to set up their formation any longer. After all, formations weren't his forte. He immediately brandished his treasured sword and charged at them. A chaotic battle erupted. The Wu tribe was born for battle, and Bai Qi's moves were simple and unadorned, relying solely on power and speed. Every slash, every strike, every swing contained profound principles. Bai Qi roared "Heh!" revealing his true form as a Great Wu, a hundred feet tall, emanating a primordial pressure that seemed to emanate from the primordial era. Bai Qi had truly entered his path of slaughter; in his eyes, there was nothing but his enemy. Only by trampling his enemies underfoot was his way.
If Bai Qi was a battle maniac just now, then he was now a demon brimming with savagery. With one strike, he cleaved the Antarctic War God away, and with another, he cleaved Marshals Gan Shan and Kun Di in two, leaving not even their true spirits intact. Gou Chen was overwhelmed with grief and unleashed the Great Law of Heaven and Earth. Taking advantage of Bai Qi's momentary daze after killing the two marshals, he slammed the broken halberd into Bai Qi's back.
Gou Chen's attack, fueled by grief and rage, was too much for even Bai Qi's powerful sorcerer body to withstand, causing him to spit out a mouthful of blood. However, Bai Qi was an irrational man; Gou Chen's attack only fueled his ferocity. Completely ignoring the potential combined attacks from the other generals, he slashed at Gou Chen with his blade. Gou Chen screamed in agony as the blade severed the wind wings on his left ribs, breaking through his protective magic. Even more terrifying was the corrosive power of the blade, which slowly began to erode his body.
The remaining generals cried out, "Great Emperor!" Their voices were mournful and desolate, yet filled with concern and worry. Bai Qi's eyes now held no trace of refinement; they were sinister, cold, ruthless, and tyrannical—the true embodiment of Bai Qi's way of "killing." He coldly sneered, "So painful already? The more painful part is yet to come!"
Before Gou Chen and the others could react, Bai Qi had already reached the distance, where two wounded people lay—the two war gods, Sky and Earth. Gou Chen and the other generals knew what Bai Qi was about to do and cried out urgently, "No!!" Bai Qi smiled cruelly, gently pressed his hand down, and his magical power surged forth, instantly turning the two war gods into dust, which then vanished into the Three Realms.
Seeing their sworn brothers, with whom they had shared centuries of service, killed by Bai Qi in the blink of an eye, the generals all let out a mournful cry, a sound filled with despair, sorrow, and rage. They then looked resolutely at Gou Chen and said, "Great Emperor, we brothers are leaving. We fear we will no longer be able to protect you by your side and fight alongside you in the Three Realms. We hope you will take good care of yourself and not be too honest, lest you fall into the trap set by some in the Heavenly Realm."
Gou Chen stood up, nodded, and said, "Brothers, please go first. I still have some things to finish, and I will come to meet you later." After saying that, he turned to Bai Qi and said, "Brother Bai is indeed powerful, but you should not underestimate me. I, Bi Fang, am worthy of the title of Ancient Demon Saint."
The generals exchanged glances and charged towards Bai Qi, while Gou Chen flew off into the distance. There lay another person in that direction, the Antarctic War God. Gou Chen, heavily wounded, reached his side, struggled to help him up, fed him two pills, and then swallowed two pills himself. After taking the pills and circulating his magic power, his injuries improved considerably.
Seeing that the Antarctic God of War was feeling a bit better, Gou Chen said to him, "Antarctic, I have a task for you to complete. I hope you will agree to it."
The Antarctic War God said, "Great Emperor, please give your orders."
Gou Chen said in a deep voice, "Go and gather our troops and bring them back to the Heavenly Realm intact, so as to preserve the last bit of vitality for our demon race."
The Antarctic War God was extremely anxious and said, "Great Emperor, how can this be? What about you? Our demon race can do without me and the others, but we absolutely cannot do without Great Emperor Gouchen. Please, Great Emperor, leave. I will stay and fight alongside my brothers." His tone was full of anxiety and excitement.
Gouchen said angrily, "Stop talking! As Gouchen, my duty is to be in charge of military affairs. How can I leave for my own selfish reasons? If you still recognize me as the Great Emperor, then do as I say."
The Antarctic War God choked back tears and said, "Your Majesty, I, your subordinate, obey your command!"
Gouchen was greatly comforted and said, "Good! It's good that you're willing to take on this responsibility. I'll entrust this hope of the demon race to you. If I unfortunately perish, do not grieve. If a new Emperor Gouchen takes office, you must not disgrace your thirteen generals and must diligently assist him. Do you understand?"
The Antarctic War God replied, "I've remembered them all."
Gou Chen then said, "Then you should go! I'm afraid things might change if you delay." There was a hint of reluctance in his voice.
The Antarctic War God bid farewell, saying, "Take care, Your Majesty." His words were filled with concern, longing, and reluctance for Gouchen.
Gou Chen nodded, remaining silent, and turned towards the raging battle. Meanwhile, the duel between Bai Qi and several generals had undergone several changes. Three more of the eight marshals had been killed by Bai Qi, but their dying counterattacks had also left Bai Qi with multiple wounds. Bai Qi's power was dark, violent, and evil. The generals were easily killed because they were trying to suppress the corrosive invasion of that dark power; otherwise, their cultivation as Taiyi Golden Immortals wouldn't have been so incompetent. Of course, Bai Qi's killing prowess was indeed formidable, coupled with the innate abilities of a Great Witch, even for Gou Chen, a Great Luo Golden Immortal on the verge of becoming a Quasi-Saint.
