Houtu will not return; ten suns illuminate the sky.

"From this day forward, there will only be the Heavenly Queen of Penglai in the world, and the Ancestral Witch Houtu will no longer exist," Houtu roared with heart-wrenching despair.

Instantly, the ancestral witch's body, which was impervious to spiritual treasures, shattered. A moment later, Houtu disappeared, and a blood sphere was formed. After eighty-one days, a figure resembling Houtu appeared, who became the Heavenly Empress.

The newly born Empress looked at the ancestral witches, waved her hand, and transformed into golden light, disappearing away. All that remained was a red teardrop swirling in the Ancestral Witch Hall, as if expressing Houtu's reluctance and longing.

It is said that after a thousand years of being Daoist partners, Emperor Jun and Xihe finally gave birth to ten sons, all of whom were three-legged golden crows. Their bodies were covered in surging solar fire, which instantly burned everything around them. Emperor Jun held Xihe in his arms, waved his hand to protect himself with the Hetu and Luoshu, and flew with his ten sons to the Sun Star.

The Fusang tree, one of the ten innate spiritual roots, is pitifully unable to take human form and can only serve as the home of Emperor Jun's ten sons—the Bird's Nest. It is truly pitiful, tragic, and lamentable.

A thousand years later, on the Sun Star, atop the Fusang Tree, ten little birds chirped incessantly. If you understood bird language, you could understand what they were saying.

The largest of the ten birds, who was also the first to be born, said, "Brothers, this is so boring! Does anyone know where we can go play?"

No sooner had I finished speaking than several more little birds chimed in, "Let's play hide-and-seek on the Sun Star!"

"Pah!" The birds spat at it.

"How about we peck at the wood?" he said, glancing at the hibiscus tree beneath him.

"Get out!" A large foot kicked out.

...

Suddenly, the eldest asked the youngest, "Little Ten, tell me, where's the fun place?"

The one called Little Ten thought for a moment and said, "Last night I dreamt of a Taoist priest holding a seven-colored staff. He said, 'Beyond the Sun Star, there is a continent called the Primordial Wilderness, where hundreds of races live, and many possess great supernatural powers. He also said that my father is the Heavenly Emperor of the entire Primordial Wilderness, and is very powerful. He said that if we go out, we will also be powerful and have plenty to eat. He even gave me something called a Bodhi Fruit to eat, which is very delicious. But my father strictly forbids us from going out. What should we do?'" As he spoke, he shook his bird head. The birds were immediately intrigued, and the eldest bird said, "Don't worry, we can just not tell our father."

The birds immediately dismounted from the Fusang tree and flew away beyond the Sun Star.

The three-legged golden crow emerged from the sun, its body radiating blazing solar fire. The seawater bubbled and steamed, and countless fish and shrimp floated on the surface. When it reached the earth, the intense yang fire scorched the earth, causing it to crack to depths of thousands of feet. Flowers, grass, and trees withered and disappeared as if they had never existed.

The ten golden crows roamed happily across the primordial land. Because they were small birds, they did not know what the millions of floating corpses, the cracked earth, and the disappearance of flowers, grass, and trees meant; they simply found it fun.

The ten golden crows cried out wildly, frantically flapping their wings, which were covered in the true fire of the sun. Rolling waves of heat continued to surge and howl across the primordial land. Suddenly, the ten golden crows disappeared, and when they reappeared, they were already at the gathering place of the Wu tribe. When the Wu tribe saw that several firebirds were flying around and plundering the lives of their people, they roared and revealed their true forms, charging forward with a howl. However, they found that these firebirds were very powerful. They could only rush to within ten feet of the firebirds and could not go any further. Moreover, the true fire on their wings was even more terrifying. No matter if you were a Heavenly Wu or an Earthly Wu, you would be burned as soon as you touched it.

The golden crows frolicked and played, soaring across the vast, ancient land.

After a while, a witch clan member who was a thousand feet tall appeared. It was none other than the giant Kuafu. He was already ten feet tall when he was born. After millions of years of cultivation, he had become a great witch and his strength was terrifying.

Kuafu chased after the Golden Crow, roaring and swinging his fists as he charged forward. The Golden Crow, unable to dodge in a moment, unleashed thousands of punches, causing golden feathers to fall, mixed with streaks of blood.

The golden crows, dazed and confused from the impact, instantly transformed into their true forms. Ten golden crows, each a hundred feet tall, screeched as they charged toward the creature that had knocked off their precious feathers. In an instant, two golden crows grabbed Kuafu's arms, four grabbed his legs, and two more clawed and tore at his chest, blood gushing forth and staining the primordial land crimson.

Suddenly, two golden crows screech and lunge at Kuafu's head, golden flames flickering on their claws...

Kuafu died a gruesome death, his head shattered, his chest deeply marked with a thousand claw marks, and blood flowing freely from his arms and legs...

Kuafu died; he sacrificed himself to save his people…
