These three divine beasts were formed directly from the hair of Pangu, so after meeting each other, the three races felt a blood connection and an instant connection. For a long time, there were no major conflicts between the three races. Later, the three races agreed that the Phoenix would govern the heavens, the Qilin would govern the earth, and the Dragon would govern the waters. Thus, during the dozens of eons that Xuan Tian was in seclusion, the three races lived in peace.
But will it really be like that? Of course not. The three races were the protagonists of the first great calamity of creation, namely the Dragon-Han First Calamity. How could such a great calamity pass by so easily?
As the population (or livestock?) of the three races increased, the resources they needed also grew. Gradually, due to territorial disputes or the ownership of spiritual treasures or objects, friction began to occur between the three races. This Luo Hou was originally the source of primordial chaos and turbidity after the creation of the world. After taking human form, he was named Luo Hou and possessed the cultivation to sever two corpses. He also obtained the 12th-grade Black Lotus, a primordial spiritual treasure, as well as the God-Slaying Blade and the Heavenly Demon Tower, making him extremely powerful and possessing great supernatural abilities. He had eight great demonic beasts under his command, namely: Ri Biao, which lived in the fiery rocks at the core of the earth, was violent and ferocious, its body as white as the blazing sun, and wherever its footprints were, the earth cracked and the soil scorched.
The Wraith is cunning and treacherous, possessive, and its yellow, dark fire can freeze all life.
Shangxiang is a gluttonous eater who can devour the heavens and earth. He spews corrosive purple light from his mouth, which can dissolve even the hardest minerals and gold.
The Mingjiao, cynical and rebellious, unleashes a ferocious aura that transforms into a raging blue flame, steaming up clouds and mist, causing drought year after year.
The Golden Turtle is amphibious, with a mysterious and cold nature; its deep blue light can freeze everything into ice.
The wild and reckless Fubi unleashed a raging fire that penetrated everywhere, triggering volcanic disasters and causing immense suffering to all living beings.
Cui Wei, born in darkness, detests light; his dark, evil light devours the radiance of the sun and moon, blotting out the sky and the earth.
Cunning, resentful, and eccentric, it takes pleasure in destroying all that is beautiful in the world; its blue flames can scorch the earth for miles.
These eight great demonic beasts all possess innate supernatural powers, comparable to those of the Primordial Immortals. They are inherently cruel and cunning. Aside from the Dragon, Qilin, and Phoenix clans, only a few powerful beings in the primordial world remained unharmed. They ravaged the primordial world for tens of thousands of years, yet were eventually subdued by Luo Hou.
Luo Hou was also a man of great ambition. He attained enlightenment from the primordial chaos and turbidity, and later obtained the innate spiritual treasure, the Twelve-Petaled Black Lotus. It is said that the Twelve-Petaled Black Lotus originated from fragments of the Chaos Azure Lotus. This Chaos Azure Lotus was nurtured by the Creation Continent, containing three streams of primordial purple energy. It shattered at the time of creation; the outer layer transformed into the Twelve-Petaled Golden Lotus, containing the Dao of Annihilation, a part of the Azure Lotus's Dao of Creation; the innermost layer transformed into the Twelve-Petaled Blood Lotus, containing the Dao of the Blood Sea and the Netherworld; the lotus platform transformed into the Twelve-Petaled Azure Lotus, containing a portion of the Azure Lotus's Dao; and the middle layer transformed into the Twelve-Petaled Black Lotus, obtained by Luo Hou, containing the Dao of the Black Lotus. The Azure Lotus's Dao of Creation is extremely wondrous, no less so than the Dao contained in the Creation Jade Disc. Luo Hou combined this with his own understanding to comprehend the supreme technique, the World-Destroying Demon Body. This technique requires absorbing all things in heaven and earth to refine oneself, ultimately leading to becoming Pangu. This demonstrates the immense ambition of Luo Hou.
Although Luo Hou possessed powerful cultivation techniques and the quasi-saint level of a True Immortal who had severed two corpses, and was aided by eight great demonic beasts, he was powerless against the formidable strength of the three races at this time. Fortunately, the three races were not a unified entity, so Luo Hou plotted to incite internal strife among them. When the three races were fighting each other and their strength was greatly diminished, he would reap the benefits.
As time went by, conflicts occasionally broke out between the three races, but fortunately, no major battles occurred. This situation was not good for Rahu.
Luo Hou thought for a long time and finally came up with a plan. Among the three races, the dragon race was the best to collect all kinds of treasures that could be used. So, he took out a treasure that he had obtained in the prehistoric world and buried it on the East Sea for easy action. He then transformed into a black dragon and hid among the dragon race.
One day, Xuan Tian was in seclusion when he suddenly felt uneasy, as if something extremely important was about to happen. He tried to divine the future, but to no avail, except that it was related to the East Sea Eye. So he decided to go to the East Sea. When he was almost at the East Sea Eye, he saw many powerful beings there. The patriarchs of the three clans had all come. Seeing that everyone's cultivation was far superior to his own, Xuan Tian quietly hid to the side, intending to observe the situation before making a move.
Meanwhile, the Dragon Clan, led by the Ancestral Dragon, consisted of over a dozen Great Luo Golden Immortals and two Quasi-Saints. The Phoenix Clan also brought nearly ten Great Luo Golden Immortals, plus their patriarch, making a total of two Quasi-Saints.
